Plaza Inn & Suites at Ashland Creek

What a great last minute find! Extremely comfy beds, clean rooms, and an extremely helpful night time staff. Milk & cookies? Yes!!! Breakfast was more than I had expected, with eggs, waffles, oatmeal & toppings, as well as the normal juice, toast & coffee. Why not 5 stars? Because of the bathroom towels. I adore fluffy towels, and these just weren’t those, but that’s ok. There is a nice patio area off of the dining area, with what looks to be very comfortable chairs. If it weren’t winter, this SoCal girl would probably be enjoying her breakfast outside. If you are considering staying here, I would say, go ahead and do so.

This place is a complete rip off. They’ll do everything they can to charge you every bogus fee and not tell you until you’ve left because they don’t want to deal with the confrontation and it’s a lot harder to dispute the charges that way. Make sure you go over your final bill in detail unless you want to have to call them back AND your credit card company to get your money back. Never staying here again.
Oh, and your room key card will be deactivated before check out or right at checkout time. Have fun running back to the office to get it straightened out. I had to do it twice since they messed up the first time. Water pressure sucks too. The accommodations are ok but this place isn’t worth the hassle. I don’t smoke but who puts a «smoke ten feet away from the door» sign on a second story balcony? That’s borderline impossible so why not put a no smoking sign? Another way to rip off the customers.

Wow, what a hotel. Very smartly decorated a little busy if you’re not used to that kind of stuff but after 10 days of being on the road and staying in mediocre hotels in the same price range I got to say these people deserve a higher rating on
The bed was comfortable king-​size the room is large, they served warm cookies and milk at 10 PM to midnight every night I’ve never seen that and that goes above making somebody feel welcome. It is central downtown to everything walking with easy parking was free even the covered parking was free. And breakfast in the morning was in the garden room eggs were fluffy waffles were available but by that time the diet had to be adhered to with the exception of bacon which I had to wait for but I understand the hotel wasn’t full. Overall this is the hotel in Ashland Oregon to stay at without a doubt. Wow

We stayed over the weekend. What a gem! We had a big, corner suite with a nice view of the gardens below. The weather wasn’t cooperative but a nice view none-​the-​less. Our bed was comfy, the linens were nice, parking was easy and the staff were helpful.

Don’t expect a suite. The main room is very nice but what a disappointment if you wanted a suite for a family! The room that allows them to charge for a suite is a sensory deprivation closet in what looks a storage closet. No windows and we slept on a sofa bed I would apologize to my guests for. About a 3 inch mattress over steel springs in cramped airless space. It is even worse since it contrasts with a very lovely room on the creek and a nice bed. One of your party will have a very bad night and the other party will feel bad. Suite not recommended. Location and grounds are perfect. If we hadn’t expected a suite it would have been fine.

You advertise that the Plaza Inn & Suites is dog friendly and you really are. Thank you. Everyone was so nice, accommodating and helpful. We loved eating breakfast on the terrace and the rooms worked out perfectly for us. I think your staff is professional and very welcoming. We will be back!

We have stayed at the Plaza in the past and were very happy with the location and the amenities. However, this time they put us in Room #014 (on the lower level), which is, literally, 6 inches from the door to the laundry room that serves the entire hotel. Rooms #016, and #018 are just adjacent and would also be undesirable. From 8:30 AM until 6:30 PM the housekeeping staff bang in and out of this door, stand outside the door of your room, in the hall, and frequently discuss the housekeeping so loudly that every word can be heard distinctly inside your room.
Unfortunately, we had all evening plays this trip, so we were often up until after midnight and wanted to sleep in late. But in this room we couldn’t sleep past 8:30 AM and couldn’t take afternoon naps because it keep sounding as if someone was entering our door every five minutes as they banged open the door to the laundry room or squeaky laundry carts were wheeled past or bumped in and out of the laundry room or the staff had a high volume conversation in the hallway.
Also, for 4 hours in the afternoons there were 2 to 4 giant laundry baskets full of dirty laundry parked in the hallway along rooms #14, 16, and 18 (SEE PHOTO) that you had to maneuver around just to get in or out of your room. At $ 220/​night, I really didn’t want to have to walk through a hotel’s worth of laundry when entering and exiting my room. When we complained we were told that they still had rooms that needed cleaning, so the laundry baskets needed to be there. We felt this didn’t address our complaint adequately.
The hotel simply needs a better location for their laundry/​work area – it shouldn’t be immediately adjacent to a room they rent out. It also needs to be larger, as the hallway right outside a string of rooms shouldn’t be needed to store dirty laundry all afternoon – not in a hotel of this caliber, at any rate. It wasn’t the fault of the housekeeping staff – they simply didn’t have sufficient room or a proper location in which to work – I’m sure they have to be able to talk to one another to do their job. I’ve never before felt compelled to write a review for a hotel, but we were so disappointed (and crabby from lack of sleep for 5 days) that I decided to urge others to avoid these particular rooms.

What a fantastic location. The Plaza Inn & Suites at Ashland Creek is nestled into the perfect spot, right next to the creek. With the sliding glass door open, we were able to listen to running water and frogs, just steps away.
We are currently on a road trip. This is our second visit to The Plaza Inn, within a weeks time frame. Our first visit was based on a recommendation from family. The room was very quiet and roomy. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. On our return trip, we had to readjust our plans and return to this great property.
I don’t want to forget to mention the staff. The customer service they provided, very much exceeded our expectations. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Thank you Mariah (Plaza Inn Manager), for making our stay perfect.

Great accommodations and great price. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and even had laundry detergent for their on-​site washers and dryers. Was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of rooms and room service attendees.

The room staff was very attentive and polite upon check-​in. During the 2 day stay over the weekend my room key was deactivated and had to have the front desk reset the card. On Sunday at 8:00am I took a shower, which has had no water pressure since we arrived, but when the hot water ran out it definitely wasn’t pleasing.
The facilities are well kept from a viual perspective, clear, and the continental breakfast is waffles, salsa eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and yogurt with fruit. There is coffee hot cocoa, apple cider, and juice to choose from for a beverage.

Great hotel. I would stay here again. Very comfy bed, nice bathrooms, roomy and the staff is amazing. Aside from that, its right at downtown where there is great walking and lots of great food nearby.

The Plaza Inn is situated in a prime location for downtown Ashland. Décor, service, staffing, parking, and general easy-​ness is abundant here. I purchased a room for one night online as I was just passing through and was looking for something clean and comfy. It did not disappoint.
On the other hand, there were minor details that would certainly have changed my mind about such a mediocre rating. The walls in my room and in the breakfast area could have been touched up as they were scuffed here and there. Same goes for the carpeting in the room, it could have used a good shampoo. Nothing grimy, mind you, but noticeable.
The following morning, I was surprised to learn there was no cold water for a shower. Nothing but scalding hot water as long as the day. Skipped a shower in light of being burned. For the price, it would seem these issues would not even be a concern.
Overall a great place, but with minor details to fix.

$ 39.95 motel Six for $ 140. Had cockroaches in our room and the motel manager told us not to worry becasue they were beetles, not cockroaches. Didn’t want to let us out of our booked 2^nd and third nights until we appealed to
Told us he would «allow us yo change rooms. Amenities were all Costco, the premium breakfast was Costco and the «fresh» chocolate chip cookies were, again, reheated Costco cookies.
My advice, if you arrive late at night, have a strong drink, sleep in your car and have a good breakfast at one of the many lovely venues in Ashland.

Super nice staff and a great location.
I had never been to Ashland before and chose this place based on a guess and a whim that it would be near some things to do. It was an excellent choice!
Checked in on Friday ¹¹⁄₂₈ at about 2pm. Front desk girl was super nice and very efficient! Got to our room in about 10 min.
Entry was is really nice and the lobby has a fireplace, comfy chairs and couches, coffee. great area to play a game or relax with a book.
Room was very clean– 2 double beds for me and my sister, great soft crisp white sheets, comfy comforter, nice tv, clean bathroom-​actually smelled super clean and disinfected– which I love! Front desk reminded us that there were snacks available after dinner and later that night! (Cookies and milk, coffee, tea. or you could make a pb&j!)
That evening, my sis and I just got back from town (watched the parade) and were not yet feeling sleepy, so we went downstairs for our snack. I asked the nice man at the front if he had playing cards– and they DID! Brought me two decks. so, sis and I played cards for about an hour, had milk and cookies. felt like we were at home! (wore my slippers/​socks downstairs!)
Following morning– they had complementary breakfast! EGGS, SAUSAGE, 3 TYPES OF TOAST, ENGLISH MUFFINS, BAGELS. AND A MAKE-​YOUR-​OWN WAFFLE BAR!!!
They also had fresh apples, endless juices, coffee and tea and milk! SO, nice!
They had butter, cream cheese, jams, syrup…
I would definitely recommend this hotel– not only for the proximity to the town plaza and everything else, but for the hospitality and ‘extras’!!

Great staff nice rooms very close to downtown and very clean.
The continental breakfast doesn’t fall short either with bacon eggs and fresh waffles.
When I come to Ashland Oregon this is my first choice

This hotel is right off the main street and just two blocks to the central square with the infamous litha water fountain. It was a two block walk to the near theatre and easy to see a 1:30 — 3:30 play, go back to our room and rest for a bit, and make it for a 5:00 pm presentation. What surprised me most about this hotel was that it appeared to be relatively new and fresh. Nothing was worn as often quickly happens in a tourist area.
The rooms were very comfortable and the beds and linens were very high quality. I was surprised to find our room had a nice private deck with seating area that we enjoyed.
The complementary breakfast was reasonable. Not gourmet, but more than enough to start your day and it can be enjoyed on a nice patio deck outdoors when the weather cooperates.
This is now my «go to» hotel in Ashland.

Super comfortable bed, friendly service, and a clean room. Overall, we had a nice stay on put way through Oregon. Good environment and atmosphere, though the breakfast had few options, we also were there within the last half hour of the breakfast time, which is understandable.
We got in late so we missed the late night snack, but we were still offered the opportunity to make some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches if we wanted, which was really nice.

We LOVE Ashland, Oregon, and go there a lot. This was the first time we stayed at the Plaza Inn. It’s very close to the Main Street Plaza and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival theaters.
The room was comfortable, clean and neat, except the shower curtain rod was coming loose and required maintenance. The layout of the building was peculiar, a lot of angles and corners due to the odd-​sized lot, I expect. Very labyrinth-​like hallways. Took a bit of time to learn our way through the maze.
As to food, there is a breakfast buffet in the morning and wine tastings in the early evening, plus coffee, milk, and cookies for the apres-​theater crowd.
I have two negatives: 1.) Not enough seats for the breakfast buffet. The food was good, but the dining room was always full, unless you hit it first thing when it opened. Otherwise, we had to sit in the lobby with our eggs and coffee. 2.) The ramps to the lower parking deck are very, very narrow. If you have a large car and the upper deck is full, park on the street. We had a compact car, and it was a tight fit getting up and down. The walls are decorated with the paint from cars scraping them.

I’ve been coming up to Ashland for years and I don’t know how I’ve never stayed here before. The location is very convenient, and yet it feels secluded, and the creekside entrance is very pretty. I’m actually glad our usual B&B was booked up – we got to discover a new option, and sometimes I really hate having to get up for breakfast and make small talk with random people, so, yeah.
The free breakfast is convenient if unspectacular, with various hot and cold options and self-​service make-​your-​own waffles — it’s not gourmet buffet but it’s better than the flat of Costco danishes you get at some continental breakfasts. But, vegetarians beware: The first morning I saw someone load up the waffle iron with bacon. Sigh.
My only complaints: We booked somewhat last-​minute and unfortunately got a ground-​floor room right next to a noisy air conditioner unit, which woke us up at 3 AM the first night, but didn’t the next two. Also, the water pressure in the shower was pretty meh. Not sure if that was just our room. Other than that, the room was spacious and things felt surprisingly quiet given the hotel was also occupied by a huge group of high schoolers. Also, the wifi actually worked and was actually free (always a plus).
There was a «first night half off» deal on the website, and with that altogether we spent $ 630 for three nights in September (still sort of peak season). You can maybe go cheaper at some B&Bs but not at others, and most of the ones that are this close to everything are not cheap. Would definitely keep this place on the list.

Best hotel in Ashland
Plaza Inn is on the north end of the downtown Ashland strip, about three blocks from the Ashland Plaza and entrance to Lithia Park. It’s the most modern of the hotels, integrates beautifully with the stream on the south corner of the property, and is quiet.
Eating options directly around the hotel were great and checking in/​out was a breeze. Nice staff, as well.
