This place is great! From fresh apples that are big and juicy to chocolate peanut butter porter beer this place is awesome. It’s on my way home from work do I like to stop by after work on payday. Really awesome selection of IPA’s and many imports. Some beers are pretty expensive but you won’t find them anywhere else around Ashland. They also have tons of wines as well. But I’m more of a «beero.»

Mitchell’s has everything you could ever want. They have a great selection of snacks, wine, and beer you can’t get anywhere else. It’s a fabulous place to hold parties and events, the scenery is gorgeous. Fresh, affordable produce and homemade cider makes Mitchell’s better then anywhere else!

Great place. This is the only place in north central Ohio that had a great selection of craft beer and Ohio wines. They had wine and beer tastings and brewing supplies. Also had all the great stuff you would expect at a good farm market with a nice selection of fruit. Highly recommend a stop.

What a gem of a shop to find in Ashland! Nice wine selection, gourmet foods, fresh fruits and vegetables as well as several microbrews. Amazing selection for a smaller place tucked away on a country road. If I didn’t have GPS, I probably wouldn’t have found it even though I had been there previously. The owner and staff are wonderful. They offer suggestions that are right on and as a result I was able to find an Ohio wine I liked. My impression had been that Ohio wines were mostly sweet, but with their help selected a pretty delicious dry red! This is definitely worth a stop even if you have to use the GPS to get there — great place and definitely worth a visit!

Despite having lived in Ashland since 1986 – 1987, I’ve only recently been introduced to Mitchell’s Orchard & Farm Market, an apparent long-time Ashland, Ohio staple. Tucked back down a country road past Brookside Park West, Mitchell’s combines the trappings and food stuffs of an apple orchard with a farmer’s market and winery, selling everything from fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, and cheeses to a large variety(three aisles!) of local and regional wines and(surprise, oh delightful surprise) a surprisingly good selection of beer. Admittedly, it’s a smaller place, so don’t go expecting to find giant cold cases of obscure imports, but do go there anticipating finding beer that you might not otherwise be able to in this small town. For instance, on a recent trip to Mitchell’s, my wife purchased both sweet and sour cherries while I perused the beer selection, deciding on a sampler pack from Canada’s Unibroue brewery(which included a bottle each of La Fin Du Monde, Maudite, Don de Dieu, and Trois Pistoles). I certainly didn’t expect to find anyone carrying Unibroue in Ashland, and haven’t seen anywhere else around here regularly carry Belgian Trappist ales like Westmalle, or lighter beers like Pacifico. They also have a decent selection of micro-brewery-produced stuff, too(i.e. Hook & Ladder, Great Lakes, etc.). A fun find, to be sure, and as the lady who runs the place was happy to take down the names of two Trappist ales I’d love them to stock(i.e. Rochefort and Chimay) in order to check with her supplier, I’ll likely be back pretty often!
