Goasis

Place is always way too busy. The places in it are more expensive then in general. Parking can be a hassle.
If you’re coming off of i71 though, this is a great place because of all the options and choices.

I have stopped at Goasis several times now on the way to and from Cleveland. This is a great gas station. And convenience store. And Starbucks. And… you get the idea! One stop shopping for the win! The gas prices are reasonable which is nice for being a random stop along a long long stretch of highway.
The best part of Goasis is the restrooms though. My one and only complaint is why (WHY?!?) do they only have three stalls? Each stall is spacious and comes with its own sink. It is nice for the privacy but when you really REALLY need to go, this three stall limit is mind boggling. They have enough space for at least 5 stalls and if you removed the private sinks, possibly more.
Thankfully, they do have family restrooms just in case you need it NOW if all of the stalls are full. When you do get into a stall, they are always clean and well stocked. I have never entered one without toilet paper or paper towels. I know this sounds like a «duh» detail but you would be amazed at just how many places I have stopped that are lacking one or the other or both. My number one tip for road trips is to keep a stash of napkins in your bag for just in case. Thankfully Goasis never makes me reach for the rough stuff.

My family and I make regular stops here to refuel and relieve ourselves. The shop has a wide selection of snacks, food items and novelties, with a Starbucks, Popeyes and Taco Bell (as of this review). The service is good, and the restrooms are fairly clean but the stalls are few. If you are in a hurry during a busier part of the day, you might want to consider stopping somewhere nearby.

Wow, super impressed! The pumps print out daily coupons, the restrooms are incredibly large and clean, and there are a lot of eating and dining selections. Goasis for the win!

As I travel from Indianapolis to western NY every few months, I’ve discovered this is the place to stop on my road trip. Healthy food options and sparkling clean bathrooms– all that I need!
And, yes, this gas station is THAT worth the review.

This place is awesome! My favorite stop on I-​71 between Columbus and Cincinnati. Clean facilities, good food, and the gasoline is usually on the low side of average price as well.

Is it Goasis as in Gas-​oasis? On-​the-​go-​oasis? I wonder every time I stop here. Any inter-​city drive that involves not having a Goasis is worse than one that does (though I must say the Ohio Turnpike rest stops are pretty nice, but it’s a toll road, they better be). The fact that it sells a large variety of grab-​and-​go food (including cut fruit and veggies) is great, it’s always clean, it’s the only Starbucks on the highway between Cuyahoga and Delaware, free wifi, etc. The prices are a lil high sometimes, but that’s what you get when you’re right on the highway. Bonus, if you need some baskets or furniture, sometimes there’s some Amish that sell these very things at the school across the street.

I have been stopping at this Goasis since it was built and only recently have I been disappointed in it. Sure it is always a busy place, but it used to be «theee stop» between Columbus and Cleveland. Just was in that perfect spot. It also used to be moderately cheaper than other gas options within a reasonable distance. Now it always seems to consistently be around 10 cents more expensive than if I get gas closer to Columbus or Cleveland. What put the nail in the coffin for me was a long dreary late-​night drive… was getting a little drowsy… Then the shining beacon that is the Goasis appeared on the horizon. Coffee sounded like just the thing (and might as well fill-​up despite the price.) Walk in and I think some of that good-​ol’ gas station cappuccino sounds good — no French vanilla. WTF?! That is like the staple of gas station cappuccino flavors. Try another and it is just half-​foamy water… they are all out. Ok. maybe coffee… Nope — there is that ONE flavor left (you know the one — Like super dark motor oil bon fire flavor), and even it is the bottom of the pot. Gross. Just have to drive the rest of the way fueled by coffee-​less anger instead of caffeine.

I always hold out for the Goasis. Starbucks, clean bathrooms, snacking options galore… this is an I-​71 traveler’s dream. It’s the perfect distance for me between Columbus and my parents’ and in-​laws’ up north. There are never lines at the convenience side, so it’s easy to grab an iced tea or pop if Starbucks is busy and I need my caffeine fix quick.
It doesn’t hurt that it’s so conveniently located near Grandpa’s Cheesebarn down the street, either!

The good: Nice size, nice selection of food, a Starbucks as well as a number of fast food joints. The bad: Small restrooms. A place this size could have a lot larger restrooms, especially if they call his a interstate oasis. Disappointing.

No Drive-​thru food windows, FYI! As someone who travels 71 frequently, usually with small children, a drive-​thru is an important feature for us. While this awesome gas station has a Starbucks, Popeyes, and Pizza Hut, you have to go inside to patronize them.
This gas station is otherwise awesome. It’s always clean and well-​lit. Bathrooms are really nice, especially compared to many other gas stations on route 71 between Cleveland and Columbus! Although stalls each have a sink inside. So do everyone a favor if it’s busy and wash your hands in the sink outside the stalls. Employees are friendly. On top of the afore-​mentioned chains, there is also a wide variety of pre-​packaged snacks and food available inside.

My husband and I joke that we could go on dates to the Goasis. It’s really in a whole separate category from other gas stations. The bathrooms are awesome, but I will say that the ‘sink in the stall’ idea doesn’t seem so great when you’re waiting in line and have to wait for the person ahead of you to wash her hands and fix her hair before you can use the toilet.
I saw that some other reviewers referred to it as a truck stop, which it is not. They have huge signs at the entrances saying «no semis.»

I make the drive from Cleveland to Columbus and back almost every weekend, and this is absolutely my favorite place to stop!
Gas station, restrooms, fast food, convenience store, etc. It has everything I could possibly want!
Most notably, the bathrooms are remarkably nice for a rest stop off of the highway. Each stall has its own personal sink, and it almost looks like a bathroom you’d see inside someone’s home. That nice. They’re super clean, and absolutely nothing about it screams «I’m a restroom off of the highway, use with caution!»
They have quite a selection of goods. Last time I was here, I noticed they have a fudge counter. I didn’t get anything but I know that, had I decided to, I would have found what I was looking for.
I’ll be stopping here for all of my future Cleveland-​Columbus and Columbus-​Cleveland trips!

I usually love this rest stop. It is on the way to my Grandma’s house & it is right off the freeway. The best part about the Goasis is that is has Starbucks! On this occasion, however, I changed my mind…
My mom and I stopped here on 4^th of July weekend on our way home from Dayton. I had to pee like crazy & we needed to get gas. I ran in to use the facilities and much to my dismay the line was out the door and around the corner. What I soon realized was that in this huge Goasis, there are only 3 stalls in the restroom. Each of those stalls, while lovely, large, roomy, and each having their own sink and paper towel roll, took up so much room that they only put in 3 in the whole place!!! Seriously, people, it is a REST-​STOP not a palatial en-​suite. Please put in more toilets. My mom thought I fell in I was gone so long. She also informed me that a little boy ran out & told his dad, «It is gonna be a while. The line is sooo long.» There was even a swanky circular seating area with an additional seat in the rest room… as if I’d sit & relax on my trip to the Goasis bathroom. They could have fit at least 6 toilets where they put three.
Suggestion: don’t stop here if you really have to go & it is a holiday weekend. You’ll wait 20+ minutes to go.

As far as rest stops, this is as good as it gets! This is located right off exit 186 on I-​71. Complete with a huge selection of snacks and beverages, Starbucks, Popeyes, PizzaHut, handmade fudge shop, and most importantly NICE & CLEAN restrooms! The handmade fudge store is worthwhile to stop in. The fudge is amazingly good and everything is made on site!

This place truly is an oasis. Whenever driving from Oberlin to Columbus, we stop here for a Starbucks trip, a little food, and/​or a green alligator slushy (or something like that). It helps break up the trip, especially considering the fact that the first leg (from Oberlin to Ashland) is enough to make you fall asleep behind the wheel.

Most amazing highway side bathrooms EVER. Also, while Goasis has a great selection of fast-​food and Starbucks, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could buy healthy snacks. I walked out the door with a huge tub of carrot sticks and two yogurt cups for under $ 6. For a truck-​stop, I’d call that progressive! Lastly, there is plenty of grass around the gas station for your four-​legged friends to sniff around and fertilize the lawn. Mark it in your GPS people, this pit stop is definitely not the pits!
Also, as an aside… Ladies… the bathrooms are super nice right? Let’s not piss on the seat, ok? If I wanted your bodily waste on the back of my upper thigh, I’d be a predator and probably in jail by now. Instead, I just want a nice clean… dry… place to rest my tush after a long day’s drive. I think we can all agree to that!

Goasis has been my friend for countless years now.
Yes, this is a decent place to get gas if you’re driving between Columbus and Cleveland — which I sometimes do. And, yes, there are two restaurants, a fudge store, a convenience store, and even a Starbucks. But what is this review about?
The restrooms.
You can’t even really see them when you first walk in. They’re sneakily hidden around to the right (men’s) and left (women’s) — but you can also go left and then right, or right and then left — it’s very flexbile. There’s also a «family restroom» in the middle, for those of you who are truly confused.

I always curve to the right, and go to the right, and there it is, in all it’s glory: the men’s Goasis restroom!
Note: I will assume, for the duration of this review, that the women’s bathroom is identical, sans urinals, and probably a little cleaner.
Why are the restrooms so cool?
* It’s larger, and designed to move a lot of people quickly in and out.
* There are two stalls, with standard doors that close, and a little translucent decal of an «oasis» over the window of each door. Just enough to let the light in, and it looks pretty. It’s odd how something as simple as a decal over a window can make something slightly more upscale — especially I-​71 near Ashland — and take your mind off the drive for just a few moments.
* Three urinals, and now they even have 3D «signs» above each for various fictional antiquey businesses, like a golf store, a pub, and some other third thing I’ve forgotten. Signs that, once again, make you forget, for just a few seconds, that you have to get back in your cramped car, truck or motorcycle, and brave the road again.
* A few wash basins with nice smelling soap, and a few hand towel dispensers that generally work well.
The nice thing about these restrooms is that they always seem so clean. Not just looking clean, but smelling clean too. I imagine tons of people go through here every day, and yet, it seems to be always perfectly clean. Magic? I have no idea, but I commend the folks at this Goasis location for keeping it so, no matter what witchcraft they employ.
I’m sure they get dirty sometimes, and I’m sure someone else will notice that and write a counter-​review, but I can honestly say that over the years, I’ve never noticed it to be unclean, period.
So, enough about the gleaming restrooms.
You walk out to a huge array of road snacks on shelves, and beverages in coolers. The overhead lights are very bright and when you come in from the outside, it does feel a bit like an oasis, especially if it’s cold, dark, snowy or whatever. And even on perfectly hot and sunny days, you get the A/​C, so it’s still an oasis. Nice, eh?
So snacks and drinks, and then you can go over into the restaurants. Popeye’s and Pizza Hut — haven’t eaten at any of them, but I imagine they have a semi-​limited «express» selection at Pizza Hut, and Popeye’s is already a fairly small menu to begin with so, there you have it: average food if you’re sick of snacks, candy, fudge and bottled beverages.
Did I mention the Starbucks? In the room next door, you are transported to the look and feel of your hometown corporate coffee brewer, and it’s weird how one end (the oasis) is bright, and the Starbucks is dark, but they go well together — and you don’t necessarily feel like you’ve gone into another dimension.
In finishing up with the inside, they have a fresh fudge booth off to the side which, although not vegan, is pretty awesome; a Jelly Belly brand candy rack amongst the other snacks, and each section is staffed by very friendly people, who are used to weary travelers. So many cool things here in one place.
Prices are reasonable, for a rest stop on I-​71, but I don’t feel bad paying a little more to help support the status quo of cleanliness and service.
One last thing about the outside that I find cool: not only is there plenty of parking, but there are also grassy areas between the road and the parking lot where you can safely walk and let your dogs do their thing — you know, the thing you’ve been begging them not to do in the car for the past few hours or so.
The only way this place could rock into the non-​existent six-​star position is if they were to install a complimentary doggy bag station out there — but that level of awesomeness would probably hurt my brain. Suffice it to say: you only really need to bring your poop bags, some food with a bowl, and a water bowl (fill it inside) and your doggies will be happy you stopped.
Overall, throughout decades of traveling all over the world, this is my favorite rest stop… of…all…time. This Goasis location truly lives up to its name.

I’ve been traveling between Columbus and Cleveland a bunch for work over the last few months, and this has become a routine stop.
While it’s basically just a travel stop, the Goasis manages to be well organized, clean, and the staff have always been polite and helpful. I’m trying to avoid the candy shop, but it’s pretty normal for me to stop in, gas up the car, and grab some coffee at the Starbucks.
Restrooms have always been well maintained, too, which is a nice change from more than a few stops on I-​71.

Best place to stop between Columbus and Cleveland.
Right off I-​71 with nice clean bathrooms. They also have plenty of option once you are inside. They have a Popeyes, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and deli sandwiches and wraps. They also have a Starbucks. I love this place as it is a stop on my way to my parents. They also have homemade fudge along with lots of sugar free options.
I wouldn’t make this my gad stop but it works for bathroom, drinks, and food.
