Deja Vu Fashion Consignment Shoppe

I have been going to Deja Vu for YEARS. It was always the place to go get gently or barely used clothes for a fraction of the price and to exchange your clothes for something «new». However, recently their customer service and quality of clothing has gone WAY down. Not to mention in the last year or so as a consigner you get a lower percentage than usual. The last few times I’ve been there I have found clothes with rips, tears, holes, and even dog hair all over them. Many of the clothes are from Wal-​Mart, Fred Meyer, and Target for the same prices as new clothes from those stores. The last 2 times I’ve brought clothing, shoes and purses to consign they have not taken my items, saying things like «iron these and maybe we’ll think of taking them» or «these smell like storage» when they were freshly laundered items and in some cases brand new with tags on them! A pair of Dansko shoes that had been worn once were rejected because you «could see a toe mark». The shoes on display at the store look much more used than that with scuff marks, faded colors, and worn out soles. I find it ironic that their store is filled with non-​name brands and VERY used items, but they won’t take things with tags or only worn once. I understand that the needs of the store change, but the girls going through the clothes are very rude and snobby about it. I keep hoping that the customer service will get better, I will be treated nicer and the quality of clothing will improve. But every time I go in I’m more and more disappointed. I used to love going there. I’m very sad to say that I will probably stop shopping and consigning there. I will not be recommending this store to anyone anytime soon either.

If you like searching for excellent slightly used fashion this is the place to go! You can find designer labels for a fraction of the original price. The stock changes frequently and there’s always something new to see.

Not a boutique consignment store but you can find some hidden gems! The consigning is very simple. You don’t have to have an appointment. You just go to the front counter and they will give you a name tag that you put with your items to take to the back. Then you can browse the store while the person in the back goes through your items. When she’s ready, she will call your name, very politely, and gives you a card that you can use for 60 days (which is how long your sale agreement is) which will give you 10% off your purchase in the store! They took most of the clothes that I brought in. But since you only get 40% of the sale and they already price their items very low, I wouldn’t expect to make a huge profit. It’s nice that the clothes you don’t wear anymore will go to someone else who will appreciate it, meanwhile you support a local business, and you will have some change to maybe find something awesome there that’s unique instead of buying something new– better for the environment. See, you can feel good about it too :)
The store is well organized with a lady who has an amazing ability to project her voice who directs people to open dressing rooms when there is a line. You can put your name on a list so you don’t actually have to stand in line. The prices are very very reasonable. Be prepared to do some digging though. They carry a lot of stuff.

If you are on a budget like me then this is a great place to buy some descent lightly used clothing. The prices are unbeatable. Everything is size and color coordinated. The best part is that they will take your nice items that you don’t want anymore and give you store credit when your items sell. I shop here often. I recently needed a nice dress to wear to a memorial service. I found the perfect dress here for only $ 8.

I love shopping at this store. I find it to be way more organized then any other store that has used clothing. I always seem to find way more then I need but the prices are so great that it doesn’t matter. I have not tried to sell items because it is hard for me to de-​clutter my closet but would try this store because I do frequently shop here anyways. I think that with any store that has a large assortment you would want to give yourself plenty of time to look at every rack. It bothers me that some reviews are complaining about this store being cluttered and unorganized when it is the cleanest and most organized second hand store I have been in. No it is not as pretty as a retail store in the mall but that is an absurd expectation. There is a large amount of merchandise on the floor and they do a phenomenal job at organizing it. I will always shop this store and have nothing bad to say about it.

I went here for years. Always seemed to find something amazing every trip — when more often than not I walk out of clothing stores empty handed! So naturally, it was one of my favourite places. It’s also extremely affordable. When selling, Deja Vu always took a decent amount of my clothes for re-​sale, leaving me with a nice balance every time I went in! I mean, who doesn’t love trading in all their old clothes they don’t wear anymore, for new ones?! Not to mention, the staff have always been friendly and respectful. There are plenty of dressing rooms, and a large selection that is organized by colour.
The icing on the cake is when I dropped off totes full of clothes and let them know that I was moving to a different country. The staff called the owner, and within 3 minutes came and found me, informing me that they could mail a check in a few months (after everything sold) as long as I brought in a pre-​addressed envelope for them.
Well, those months passed, and I forgot. And sure enough — Deja Vu was on it — I got that check in the mail just last week w/​my consignment balance.
I’m so grateful they were willing to accommodate my situation without a second thought, and even remembered my unusual circumstance months later when I had forgotten. What a great local, small business I am proud to have supported for so long! My closet and I thank you:)

I have visited Deja Vu on each of my yearly trips to Ashland. I always find something I like and appreciate how clean and well organized everything is. Especially helpful is organizing by color. The staff people are helpful and friendly, I love shopping at Deju Vu.

Deja Vu has gone downhill. It’s always a scavenger hunt to find something lightly worn and in style, but occasionally, you make a score and it keeps you coming back. I tend to buy and wear higher quality clothing and it just doesn’t make sense to consign those labels with this store. As mentioned previously, it is barely above a thrift store, the lines are long, the racks crowded and poorly organized.
Additionally, their new policy of only giving the consignor 40% of the sale price is ludicrous. There is no accounting of what sold or what price items sold for…

Love Deja Vu! I’m always able to consign a majority of the clothes I bring in and regularly find what I’m looking for at a great price. Staff is nice, friendly and very helpful. I’ve never had much luck with shoes here, but I give them 4 stars for the awesome clothing selection and great staff.

This store is a step up from goodwill but a definite step down from places like Avant Garb and Bombshell. The selection is big but the quality is hit-​or-​miss.

This consignment shop rocks! I always leave with an arm full of clothes and shoes. I get asked all the time where I get my cute outfits and tell my friends and family to go to Déjà vu! If you do go though, know that you will have to search for the keepers. There is a lot of «worn» clothes and it usually takes me a hour to find the winners. But they always have brand new clothes and lovely jewelry. Consider déjà vu before any other consignment store in the valley!

I do shop here, and am always pretty annoyed, but obviously I have found enough good things to keep me coming back. I have sold and bought clothes all over the west coast and have never, ever not been told how much my items were going to be consigned for. It seems like this store is hoping to just be one stop before taking things to goodwill, that I should not care how much I might get if it should ever sell, the only thing I get to know is the total credit I have, and not even which items sold. Feels very ripe for ripping people off, I do not sell there anymore.
The quality of clothing wildly varies, some really nice things to things that should have been thrown away. Very crowded racks, crappy hangers, make trying to shop kind of annoying. There is almost always a 20 minute wait at the counter. No kidding. So annoying.

Town of racks of clothes, it must of been a off day for me as I didn’t buy anything. I didn’t really find anything until I got to the racks of clothes in the back left and in front of dressing rooms. Prices ok and clothes are worn a little too much.

Have only been here twice, but just scored a super cute leather jacket for $ 30! This place feels hit or miss, but when you hit– it is a home run! :) Nice things, and still reasonably priced– will definitely make a point to swing by on my way to the highway every visit :)

Happened upon this place when having to do laundry at the laundromat in the same complex while on vacation. My pre-​teen daughters both found a few t-​shirts that made them happy… Hollister and Juicy brands that were clean and in good condition for only $ 6. Dressing rooms are nice and roomy and employees were friendly. Clothing racks are pretty full, so be prepared to spend time sifting through items to see what you’d like. You cannot do it with a glance. We give it a thumbs up and were delighted to find it by accident!

Huge selection and really decent prices. Styles are a little dated, however.

I really miss going to this little shop.
When I was attending SOU I would stop by at least once per month, if not more. Each time I had to keep myself from buying everything! Pricing was wonderful, once I even found a Kate Spade sweater for $ 15. The regular price? $ 175!

I lived right next to this place for a whole year and never had an intrest in going.
Their aisles were so overpacked I could never keep the motivation to go through all of them. I get that you are trying to keep your business up and running but it was just too much. Way too much.
I did manage to find one pretty sweet pair of white cowboy boots for 15 bucks. But after a whole year of living right next door, that was the only item I ever found.

This store is spacious and open, making it easy to browse and wander. It seemed like things were well organized and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Pricing looked good (sometimes great!!) and there was a huge selection.
They had a great selection of jewelry and we both left with a few things for a great price.
