Caldera is dedicated and determined to produce uncompromised quality ales, lagers, sodas and cuisine. The restaurant features appetizers, artisan pizzas, breads, desserts, entrées, pastas, salads, sauces, soups and stocks all made from scratch by Chef Joe «One Love» Stephens and staff. We strive to use locally sourced organic ingredients whenever possible. Our flours are grown in Oregon and Idaho and our cheese comes from family farms.

A collaboration with Big Island Brewhaus, Big Island Caldera Red Sea is on tap. Big Island Caldera Red Sea is Imperial Red Ale brewed with chocolate, molasses, pink peppercorns and Himalayan pink salt coming in at a whopping 8.9% alcohol. Caldera is also making its own non-alcoholic beverages. House made Hibiscus Rose Petal Ice Tea, Ginger Ale, Soda Hop and Root Beer are now available.

History

Established in 1996.

Caldera is the first micro brewery in the State of Oregon to brew and can its own beer.

Caldera Brewing Company was incorporated March 12, 1996. The first brew was July 4, 1997 and the first keg sold was August 28, 1997. Caldera is distributed by Summit Beverage in Southern Oregon, Big Foot Beverages in the Roseburg/Southern Coast area and Point Blank Distributing in Portland, Eugene, Bend and the Northern Coast area.

For the first eight years, Caldera was draft only until June 2005 when the Pale Ale was put into cans. In 2007 the IPA was added to the can line up and in 2008 the Ashland Amber became the third flavor to can. In 2013, Caldera added Lawnmower Lager and Pilot Rock Porter to its can lineup.
