A few minutes ago, I heard something on NPR that was talking about«factory tours» that Mr Rogers featured on his show and my mind instantly flashed back to my first factory tour in 6th grade. Yes, that’s right — the Archway Cookie Factory. Seriously — what teacher came up with this idea? It was a pure stroke of genius. And we just happened to be there for my favorite — almondy windmill cookies! I have to say, I was kind of disappointed that they were extruded, not cut out with a cookie cutter but it really was a treat to have fresh Archway Cookies while they were still hot! 30 years later — I have fond memories of Archway Cookies! Crispy, sweet and yummy. Now that I’m fat and old, I favor Feel Good Bakery chocolate sourdough for my breakfast but that’s another review.
