Scandals Nightclub

Awsome place great drinks and fantastic DJ. Loving the drag show till I was pushed out if the way by one of the queens rude ass mothers. They had an entire booth blocked off for her and family which was cool, very unappreciated when because you loved me was in the act poorly played been better if she went to her mother instead of pushing threw the crowd like she owned the place. Even when the club was closing she was pushing threw people with out an excuse me. I know your son is special to you but damn. First time I been out in years after the shirty year I had last year I was ready to have a fun time. Drag show was incredible up till that point, poorly acted from those 2.

I have to offer praise to Scandals and Club Eleven on Grove, for the way they treated everyone in attendance of the Fashmob VI event, that they hosted in these clubs, on January 15^th. They seemed to go out of their way to make sure everyone in attendance felt welcome, and enjoyed their time at this event. Scandals was a very high quality, well put together club, impressive compared to a lot I have seen in Asheville through the years. It was almost like revisiting my one time hometown of New Orleans, where they too go to the extreme to make a good experience. I was really impressed at how much effort the staff and even security, put into treating everyone with an attitude to contribute to making this experience, a really nice one.

This is a very fun place to dance and drink! The bartender was hot AND friendly! The music could be better but its good enough considering we were drinking!

OK, so I totally love Scandals but I need to say it from the beginning, that they need to get their bathroom situation taken care of ASAP, that is total bullish*t, two toilets for hundreds of drunken women, really? That’s a mess waiting to happen…
Anyway, otherwise, I adore this place. I have had some really fun nights here. I absolutely love the first Friday Zumba dance parties. These are from 7 – 10 on the first Friday of every month and cost $ 10. There are a bunch of different Zumba directors who lead dances all night. Each month has a different theme (such as superheroes, the most recent). It is a ton of fun.
Friday and Saturday nights Scandals hosts dance parties and drag shows. These are always really fun and high energy with lots of party people with positive attitudes. People come to Scandals to let loose and really enjoy themselves. It is a great space for it, decent sized dance floor with raised dance spaces and sitting areas as well.

Took a slew of ladies in town for a bachelorette weekend, most of whom had never been to a gay bar, and they loved it! Highly recommend if you want to dance and let loose. Music could’ve been more of a variety, easy on the EDM and more hip hop tunes but definitely one of the top spots of the trip.

This is a 3 story night club. there are very different music genres happening on each level. The bottom is the boiler room which is metal and punk. Then scandals dance club and full when is a drag queen performances. It’s great a little pricy to get in but worth it. Then street level is R/​b

Should I go again… I will definitely need a few drinks in me to get down and have a darn good time. However watching the folks enjoy themselves was somewhat enjoyable. The performance acts are hard to review because they were hard to see and short lived. People definitely save their spots to witness the Queens of Scandal. Seriously an «Ok» experience was had.

Nice building with a fun atmosphere. Once you learn the layouts of the two connecting bars you are good to go :)

Eh. Doesn’t rank highly in my book. Even after an exorbitant (for a non metro area) $ 10 cover, can’t even get a cup of water when needed. Is that even legal? But in a desert of gay clubs, it’s serving a good role. It freaks me out though to see such young guys in a club (18+ club).

The club looks and feels great and has dance platforms and nice dance lights. Vaulted ceilings with a good sound system.
But really the cover is a rip off at $ 12 with out a membership. The DJ’s are ok but they do shy away from playing hip hop and stick to only electronic remixes of pop hits.
Just think twice before spending your whole paycheck at this place becuase it’s easy.

This is a great place! It is huge and so much fun you have plenty of room to dance and not have to worry about bumping into everyone. The drag shows are all out. Drinks are decent priced. and there is 3 bars in it so your not waiting 20 mins for a drink. Check it out if you are in town.

It’s the place to go when in Asheville, NC

Sadly, the club was pretty dead the night we went. There were probably only 10 other people, and only 4 or 5 were dancing. Maybe it’s better on weekends. In any case, we tried to make the best of it. The club room is a cool place, I like all the lights and the metal accents. The drinks were pretty good. The music was okay, not really my style.
I was pretty disappointed, but maybe I picked the wrong night to go.

Oh God– Scandals. How can I review Scandals? It’s such a right of passage for college students, both straight and gay. The music sucks, the drinks are weak, and it’s on the outskirts of downtown, but you just gotta go. At least once.

Was a decent place to dance to, but the music when I was there was a little too bumpy for my tastes. Some people like it that way, but just not my cup of tea. Though full of a lot of guys (and girls) looking just for one thing. Not at all the reason I went out there.
