My mom comes here a lot to pick up a side Greek salad. It’s always fresh. This time she tried the spanakopita, which she thought was a little too greasy. We had a chicken gyro, a lamb gyro, and a hamburger. Everything was delicious! I’ve had their burgers before and they are tasty. Good alternative to a fast food chain, and cheaper!

I had a Lamb Gyro, fries and a water…8.22 plus I gave 2.00 tip… Gyro was good… fries were average frozen from a bag and deep fried… people working at counter barely made eye contact nor did they say hello… I would go back to try their burgers… overall I am not dying to go back but may visit again if looking for a non fancy place and happen to be close by. I would never go out of my way to eat here… also next time I will try a «special» because after paying a tip I feel I paid too much for what I got

Wow! I haven’t had a cheese steak sandwich like this since I left Williamsport PA years ago. The roll was toasted yet soft and had a perfect combo of onions and peppers with the thinly sliced rib steak; including provo cheese and mayo! Yay! Priced right and drank a locally brewed beer with it.

the lamg gyros might have been the worse sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The ‘lamb’ was some kind of pressed meat that tasted like cardboard. The french fries were right out of the frozen bag. The sasue, I think it was supposed to be tzatiki, was so watery as to be dripping off the sandwich. My stomach hurt after eating it.

Best Gyro in town! The food is fast, and always consistent. I love stopping here after a long day and grabbing something to go. This is one of my favorites in Asheville by far.

Nick’s has been a North Asheville fav for many years. I have been going since I was a kid. The Nick Burger on pita is one of my favorites the other has gotta be the Spanokopita. The fries come out perfect from this place. I will say as of this review its on point but seems to differ based on staffing greatly. They changed the hamburger meat several times and it took awhile for it to get back to the thick chargrilled burger my family was used too. Daily specials: Bbq sandwich, fries special is on Tuesdays… .Wednesdays is the Amazing Nick Burger !

Best gyros I have tasted in the Asheville area. If you have a hankerin for some well made, reasonably priced food that tastes great you will find this place the right place. They are friendly, they remember you when you come back and they care about their food. Everything tastes fresh and certainly high on the yummy scale. This is not a fancy sit down three forks white table cloth restaurant. Its just good eats and Formica, American style.

I ate here for the first time today. BESTGYROINASHEVILLEAREABARNONE! Also cool dive/diner motif feel inside. A little off the beaten path but worth the tiny trip.

First place I ate in asheville… had I turned away because of its appearance I would have missed out on the nickburger on a pita… it was the Wednesday special and I was kind of turned off by the appearance at first so I didn’t want to go to crazy… when I saw that pita hugging that medium-well piece of meat dressed with yellow American cheese, lettuce and tomatoes I wanted to devour it… not to mention it was 2pm and we had been traveling since 5am. The fries were a perfectly crispy … I didn’t venture with their sweet tea but I regret it now. My bf had the chicken sandwich which looked great and I’m sure it was as it was gone before I could steal a bite. This is definitely a place you want to go to for a quick lunch if you are in the area… beats that whopper and big MAC any day!
