I came to Asheville two years ago from Chicago, where I owned a boutique for many years. We came to this wonderful city seeking a change of pace and to enjoy the beauty of the mountains. While I hadn’t initially planned to open another store, here I am! And I’m loving all over again!

Wonderful variety of unique items. The proprietor is incredibly friendly and helpful. My husband and I collect Christmas ornaments when we travel. I hadn’t found one and was going to purchase a beautifully engraved Asheville key ring to substitute. When I shared my story she went into her store room and found me an ornament; done by the same local artist who does the key rings. It’s difficult to find customer service like that. Not necessarily in Asheville, but in most of retail. Barb is inviting, but not overbearing; a difficult balance sometimes. I went back the next day for a pair of earrings I couldn’t stop thinking about and there’s this purse… I may go back again if I can’t stop thinking of that too.

Adorable place! Definitely a bit on the higher end (price wise), but great quality and totally worth it. I think the prices are actually very reasonable for what you’re getting. The have gorgeous jewelry and beautiful bags/​scarves. Perfect place to get a nice, simple, stylish amazing gift or treat. This is my go to place for classy and gorgeous accessories. On another note– the more I talk to the owner/​workers, the more I love this place. They are absolutely darling and so fun to chat with. They care and listen and are wonderful people. They have my business and support for always.

I come to Asheville a few times a year and have my favorite shopping stops. This was a new find for me as they just opened in October.
The space is beautiful and serene and uncluttered. I really enjoyed walking around and shopping. I have very selective tastes and don’t shop just to shop. I found so many great finds in this shop. They have handbags, wallets, scarves, hats, and beautiful jewelry. I walked out with many unique pieces that I will love wearing knowing that others won’t be wearing the same designs. Definitely eye catching designs.
The owner was also very helpful, kind, and loved chatting w/​her. She was super helpful. Make the trip down to the end of the street and check out this gem. Ladies — you won’t be disappointed.

I am a very selective shopper, and I am usually in and out of a store in a few minutes, but when I wandered into Embellish, I was amazed by the number of items that appealed to me. I was also very pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were. I ended up buying a beautiful bag and two pieces of jewelry, and I could have easily bought more. The owner clearly puts a lot of thought into what she chooses to sell. I feel lucky that I found this appealing little shop. I will definitely return any time I am in Asheville.
