History

Established in 1983.

Dr. James H. Maddox, Sr. began practicing general dentistry in 1958, in a small office in Enka, NC. In 1987 his son, Dr. James H. Maddox, Jr., Jamie, began practicing with him. Together, they maintained high standards by keeping up to date on changes in dentistry. They practiced together until 1998 when Dr. Maddox, Sr. retired.

In 2001, Dr. Jamie Maddox realized the office had out grown its boundaries, so he decided to expand the practice by building a new office and adding another dentist. After an extensive search, he met Dr. Paige Leahy. Besides her accomplishments in dentistry, she shared his sense of integrity and values. Together, with their staff of highly trained and skilled office personnel, assistants and hygienists, they have worked diligently to provide their patients with the upmost care and the highest quality of dentistry available. We look forward to continuing to grow and serve our patients for years to come!

Business Owner

Dr. Maddox graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1982 with a BS degree in Biology and again in 1986 with a Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery. Following graduation he attended a yearlong General Practice Residency at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Maddox is a lifelong resident of Asheville where he now lives with his wife Denise; stepson Ryan; son, Cooper.
