The instruments on sale there are presented in an acceptable environment, and I’m not dissuading anyone from music lessons there or anything. The problem lies with how the business is run. The store is in a good location, but like another Google reviewer, I had a bad experience there that stuck with me for years. I asked a gentleman there a few years ago if he could match a price in a catalogue called, «Musicians’ Friend». I had long hair at the time and got the impression he didn’t like either teenagers or Rock’n Rollers. He told me, «We have Enough Customers». It really hurt me to hear that, so I said, «Okay» and then left. I keep thinking about it years later and it baffles me. I went to the ‘Music Barn’ in Greensboro and they matched prices and then suggested add-ons like a guitar case and other items which I then bought. They were really nice to me at the Music Barn. As for the Evan’s Music Store, unless you know them personally, I say just stay away because their customer service is not very good, and as I mentioned, they even say they have enough customers. Monroe’s Music on Sunset Ave. is a much better alternative. I have bought things here that have lasted a good while, however.
