Business Owner
born in Asheboro, North Carolina and grew up in Randolph and Montgomery Counties.
Charlie taught at the Seagrove School in Randolph County, North Carolina for six years before entering the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law where he graduated with a J.D. degree in 1976. He has practiced in the areas of criminal law, family law, telecommunications law, personal injury law, and corporate law in central North Carolina in the law firm of Bell & Browne, P.A. for over thirty-five years.
Charlie is a past president of the Randolph County Bar and the 19B Judicial District Bar. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for over twenty years. He has also served as a member of Randolph County’s Economic Development Committee and as a commissioner on the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education Training Standards Commission. He was Chairman of the Randolph County Republican Party from 1988 – 1992.
