I am a traveling piano teacher providing in home piano lessons in the Ashburn area. I have over 10 years of teaching experience and classically trained with a Bachelors of Music degree in Piano Performance.

I teach and have students of all levels and specialize in teaching young children generally starting around age 5. Each lesson style is tailored to the individual student.

I am affiliated with the following organizations: Music Teachers National Association, Northern VA Music Teacher’s Association and the National Guild of Piano Teachers.

I have a great passion for the piano and would love to bring the language of music to your home.

History

Established in 2012.

Although I have 10 years of teaching experience in the piano, I formally opened Young So Piano Studio in October 2012.

Playing the piano has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I am classically trained and I recieved my Bachelor of Music where I majored in Piano Performance.

I have spent my childhood years in South Korea and moved to the U.S. where I currently reside in the Ashburn, VA area with my husband and beautiful son Justin.

I am a member of Open Door Presbyterian Church located in Herndon, VA serving as a church accompanist. I also participate in the praise band as the main keyboard and enjoy christian contemporary music.

I enjoy teaching children, equipping them with a good foundation and techniques so that they can express their soul through music. Music opens a new level of understanding and language expressing things that words cannot.

My teaching style varies between each student and I take into consideration all aspects such as personality, learning styles and goals.
