Wags and Walks

We turned to Wags and Walks (and more specifically the owner Leslie) after our newly adopted retriever would jump, scratch and put her mouth on the neighborhood kid when he tried to walk her. As soon as she came over Leslie got on the floor with our dog and made her comfortable, while also showing who was in control. Honey (our dog) has greatly improved her walking manners. It even seems Honey sits better to get to get her collar on for Leslie than she does for us.
We also receive a text message (often with a photo) about how the walk went. This is in addition to the written «report card» left for us when we get home that provides additional information. The text is incredibly well appreciated, and helps brighten the middle of our workday a little bit.
Leslie also seems to genuinely enjoy walking our dog. She’ll take extra time to get Honey into her crate after the walk if she becomes stubborn, and will sit quietly on the floor just giving her attention to help her into the crate.
One hard thing to judge with dog walkers is what really happens, since you are generally not around when the walker comes and goes, so you never know what really happens. On days where I was home sick, I did appreciate not having to give Honey two walks, and saw how Leslie was with her. We came home one day right at the end of a walk to see Leslie giving Honey attention and loving on her.
We had started with trying only a single day. But after seeing her prices matched with others, and then seeing just how incredibly above the norm Leslie goes to communicate, we quickly switched to having her come every day. I definitely recommend Wags and Walks.
