SpiderSmart has specialized in core programs that build fundamental skills since 1989. Nowhere else can students get such a high level of attention from a top-​rated teacher.

Our Reading & Writing program includes one-​on-​one instruction time with a teacher who will give your children detailed feedback and encouragement on their writing.

Our Math teachers are trained to laser in on your children’s weaknesses and select personalized classwork that will help build their skills.

SpiderSmart also specializes in Test Preparation for all exams. Our timed practice and focused classwork help students meet their goals.

Subject tutoring is also available for all subjects at all levels. We believe that individual instruction time is essential for every lesson, and we make it a priority to personalize each student’s experience.

History

Established in 1989.

SpiderSmart has always believed that the scale for success varies for every child. We foster autonomy and a strong work ethic in our students. By developing a skill set that goes beyond short-​term goals, we build academic confidence that will be applicable to students’ future tasks, assignments, and, more importantly, their life experiences.

Every SpiderSmart Learning Center is warm and designed to make students feel comfortable while learning. Our classrooms are equipped with computers and a library of more than 2,500 books. SpiderSmart centers are safe spaces where any student, at any level, can grow into a confident learner.

At SpiderSmart, our teachers go beyond tutoring. We build upon strengths, help overcome weaknesses, and, above all, instill a sense of intellectual independence in our students.

Meet the Business Owner

Jessica L.

Business Owner

Ms. Jessica earned her degree in English from The College William & Mary in 2008. Her major was focused on Shakespearean Drama, but Ms. Jessica also had a minor in Biochemistry. After taking graduate courses in Biochemistry at the Medical College of Virginia, she began teaching math, science, writing, and test preparation for SpiderSmart in 2010.

She fell in love with the unique atmosphere and curriculum of SpiderSmart Learning Centers and opened the Ashburn location in 2012. She loves working with kids and hopes to enrich the Ashburn community by providing a warm, caring, fun place for children to come build academic confidence.

With an emphasis on fundamental skills and application, SpiderSmart encourages children to build a web of knowledge that will help them succeed in all areas.

Ms. Jessica also co-​owns the Kensington location with her friend and colleague, Miss Mary.
