Roxanne Azmoudeh, DDS, PC

We recently moved back to Northern VA (Ashburn) and needed to find a new dentist. Dr. Azmoudeh and her staff are delightful. Very pleased! She took time to explain everything and has a wonderful «chair-​side» manner. Add a beautiful smile, great attitude and professionalism, and you have the perfect dentist!

Yet again, another business practically devoid of American labor. Everyone here is foreign with varying levels of proficiency in English, with the exception of the receptionist.
Plus, the dentist, who is nice enough, is constantly pushing expensive upgrades not covered by insurance (whitening, superfluous fluoride treatments).
I’ve found another.

Dr. Azmoudeh is the best dentist ever. She is very gentle and very skilled. I never thought i would say that about a dentist visit but every visit are pleasant. Dr. Azmoudeh is always on time, her staff is amazing and the massage chairs are awesome ! The office is very clean and you even get a welcome package with a bunch of toothpaste, toothbrushes and floss. Very nice !!! I trust Dr. Azmoudeh 100%. She will not push you do anything you don’t need. She is just the best.

My husband and I both needed to go to the dentist and we had been putting it off. I found Ms. Azmoudeh on Unilocal and thought that with all the great reviews, she must be doing something right.
We arrived at our appointment only to find out that we weren’t supposed to be there until the following week! My husband had total knee replacement several years ago, and every time he goes to the dentist he has to take antibiotics. We asked the doctor if she could prescribe him additional antibiotics for the following week, instead, she offered to take him that morning and to our surprise, she also took me as well!
The office is very clean, professional, and friendly… not to mention accommodating! We were used to going to a much larger practice and to our liking, this office if much smaller and seems more personable.
I would highly recommend Ms. Azmoudeh and her staff.

Had my first check up… what a wonderful experience! !!! Yes — we are talking about visiting a dentist.
The doctor took her time going over my medical history and just talking to me about my lifestyle habits.
There is absolutely no pressure for getting any extra work sold to a patient! !!! This was my biggest problem with the last dental practice — they annoyed me with always trying to milk me for extra work — I was in search for a good dentist for two years. .
Roxanne treats you like a human; the stuff is superb — the whole experience is wonderful!!!

I had a small dental emergency (a bit of filling fell out) and called to schedule an appointment a couple of days ago– they couldn’t get me in right away obviously, but sounded apologetic that they couldn’t. My problem wasn’t so bad that I truly needed to get in right away, so I was okay to wait. I went in today, the girl at the front desk was sweet and easy going, and the assistant that brought me back was friendly. When the doctor came in, she was sweet and cordial. She examined the filling and gave me three choice– aggressive (take out the entire filling and start over), conservative (fill in just the small gap) and super-​conservative (do nothing, it isn’t that bad in her opinion). Based on certain facts, we decided on the super conservative option and she wasn’t pushy about any of the options, she left it to me which is something I wanted in a dentist– my last dentist really didn’t like giving me choices. Dr. Azmoudeh also was gentle during the cleaning– I’ve been to dentists who are so aggressive my gums are bleeding and throbbing when I leave and they have envelopes of Ibuprofen they hand out. I felt confident about her throughout the exam and cleaning and left feeling that way. She’s a dentist I’ll actually go back to every six months.

I never thought i would write a review about a dentist.
This dentist is good. She knows her profession and deals with care we deserve.
I said goodbye to my previous dentist as she is quite the opposite.
Thanks to my wife for finding Roxanne i have now a healthy mouth.

I have tried many different dentists and I have not been impressed until now! Will definitley be back and I have already set my husband up with an appointment. Her staff was wonderful and extremley helpful and she actually took time to go over all of my concerns without trying to sell me something!

Best dentist in the area. I hadn’t been to a dentist in over a year since the dentist I gone to since I was a child retired. Amazingly friendly staff and very compensating to their clients needs. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a stellar experience.

Today was my first visit to Dr. Azmoudeh’s office and I was really impressed. The front desk lady was friendly, clean office and bright office. The Dr was very pleasant, and took her time in answering my questions. The hygienist Sue was also very professional. It was my first visit and pleased about it.

Im quite happy that i checked Unilocal ratings before deciding which dentist in my area i should choose and im glad to say i chose her! she is nice, attentive and does her job! her dental hygienist Sou is pretty good too! thanks Unilocalers!

I went in for my second cleaning yesterday and I’m happy to report that the great experience I had the first time was no fluke! Dr. Azmoudeh and her staff are incredibly friendly, professional and helpful. They took great care of me and even remembered me! Thank you, Dr. Azmoudeh!

Yet again, I’ve been impressed by Dr. Azmoudeh & staff. Her receptionist is friendly & pleasant. Her dental hygienist is knowledgeable and friendly. She went out of her way to explain several things. She seems to enjoy teaching and cares about the patients. The dentist, Dr. Azmoudeh, is very approachable and has a great «chair-​side» manner. Still love the calm office and massage dental chairs! I generally hate going to the dentist, but this dentist has made it pleasant! Yay!

Dr Azmoudeh did a great job putting a filling in. She is a nice lady. Very professional, very thorough.
And is always willing to answer your questions, help with your concerns. I got an impression that she is a great doctor who cares about her customers. I will definitely be back to her office.

Dr Azmoudeh is the best dentist I have ever been to. She is very professional and does excellent work, and she is warm and personable at the same time. I don’t at all dread my dentist appointments anymore.
I came to her after having waited way too long between dental cleanings, and she was completely nonjudgmental. She helped me get right back on track and now I feel great because I’m taking care of my health again.
I highly recommend her. She and her support staff are all wonderful, and I really appreciate how Dr Azmoudeh does nearly all of the work, including the routine cleanings. She is always willing to hear you out if you have any concerns, and is super friendly and soothing in her demeanor. I’m convinced she must be the best dentist in NoVA!

This office is pristine! It is wonderfully decorated and very comfortable. After a very negative experience I had with a dentist in the area, I researched my next dentist very carefully and Dr. Azmoudeh was the right pick. She and her staff were very kind. The procedure was very comfortable. She patiently answered all of my questions and just took great care of me.
I love that her treatment chair had a little back massage built into it! A nice little touch that shows how much thought she puts into her operation.

I have been going to Dr. Azmoudeh for a little over a year now I was referred to her by a friend after having a dreadful experience with another dentist in the area.
She is very caring and willing to take her time. She always gives you a full explanation to everything she is doing and what you can expect to feel before she performs any procedure. I have never felt like she is rushing her work so that she can move on the next patient.
Dr. Axmoudeh and her staff are very friendly and helpful I never feel like I am just another payment to them I always feel like the truly care about me as a person and my dental health.
I would recommend her to anyone who has fears of going to the dentist she is very inviting and has a personality that will put you at ease.

I had been nervous about finding a new dentist after moving out to Ashburn. I have had bad experiences in the past and, after finding a great dentist in Arlington and going to him for five years, I procrastinated in seeking out a dentist, thus making it increasingly daunting as time went on.
I cross referenced my insurance with a positive review here and made an appointment with Dr. Azmoudeh. I will reiterate a lot of the things that previous poster Meghann J. indicated, part of the reason that I went here in the first place.
The office is new, bright, and quiet, with all new, state-​of-​the-​art equipment and fixtures. The receptionist is fabulously friendly, from the time you call for an appointment to the time you leave the office. She contacts your insurance company ahead of time to make sure that there are no billing surprises come appointment time. They are willing to take on all of the insurance paperwork, whether they are preferred providers or not, although both my insurance (Aetna) and my fiancé’s (Delta) were accepted here.
We were taken right on time for our respective appointments. Dr. Azmoudeh is calm and friendly. She does all of the x-​rays, cleanings, and exams herself, and explains everything before it happens. She asks about any concerns or nervousness ahead of time, and was very reassuring throughout.
One of the problems that I have faced with past dentists is the «hair on fire» attitude that you need to replace all of your old fillings immediately, one must have dental scaling, teeth whitening, etc. Dr Azmoudeh has put me right at ease as far as she is concerned. She indicated a few areas that I should pay attention to and that we will want to revisit in the future *if* they start to bother me. No «used car salesperson» feeling here.
We really enjoyed our visit (inasmuch as one can enjoy going to the dentist) and feel that we have found our new tooth care provider in Ashburn.

I am one of those 20 somethings who hasnt exactly made it a habit of going to the dentist every 6 months like I am supposed to (luckily I have good teeth and brushing habits!) I went to the same dentist from the time I had teeth until the time I was 23, it was what I knew. That dentist doesnt and hasnt accepted any of the insurance that I have had since that time. I did make the mistake of picking a dentist out of the list of in group providers about 4 years ago and that was a disaster. I was in a lot of pain and I only went in for a cleaning!
Dr. Azmoudeh came as a referral from a very good friend and coworker, so I figured that I really did need to get in to see the dentist, it had been entirely too long. I made my appointment on a Thursday and was able to go in this past Tuesday (no long waiting periods for an appointment because her practice is so new!)
The office is in a one of the new business parks in Ashburn, so when you walk in everything is completely new. Dr. Azmoudeh went over my dental history and was very eager to learn about my history and why I was there. She did a fantastic job at easing my nerves after my last bad dental experience. She is also the person that does the actual cleaning and takes the x-​rays as opposed to having a hygienist do these things.
Seriously, I almost fell asleep while I was having my teeth cleaned. She has a massaging chair (that she will turn on or off at your request) and she plays music while working. Being such a new office she has all of the latest gadgets in the world of dentistry.
This really was a great dental experience (seriously…I just said that), so if you are in the need of a dentist and dont mind heading out to Ashburn, I highly highly recommend Dr. Azmoudeh!
