Newton Lee, M.Ac., Dipl​.Ac. NCCAOM, L.Ac. is a Korean-​American, born in Fairfax, Va. His father, a Doctor of Naturopathy and an apprentice of acupuncture introduced him to Oriental medicine.

He received his Master’s degree in Acupuncture from Tai Sophia Institute. He is currently in the Doctor of Acupuncture program at Maryland University of Integrative Health.

Newton is trained in various styles of acupuncture and uses an integration of Five-​Element Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Tan’s Balance Method, Tung Acupuncture, and Tuina Asian Bodywork in order to achieve the best results for his patients.

He is committed to the ultimate safety and comfort of his patients at all times. The needs of each patient are at the forefront in determining treatment strategies, as each treatment is tailored to the individual. Newton truly enjoys helping patients get better and stay better. He treats every patient with compassion and non-​judgment.

It works! I had lost sensation on the right side of my face due to nerve damage from a bad car accident many years ago. I thought for many years that I didn’t have any choice but to live with it. When I heard about the Acupuncture treatments to restore sensation, I had to try it, and it worked! After only a couple weeks of treatments twice a week, I could feel the difference. After six weeks, the numbness was gone. I was amazed at how effective the treatments were and continued to go for various things, stress, tension, anxiety, indigestion, lack of sleep, even feeling hot all the time. The sessions were spent with Newton taking time to understand the causes, and then he would explain how the treatments worked to pinpoint the exact issue at hand.
Because of my job, I sit in front of a computer for most of the day and often work long hours to meet deadlines. When I would feel tension in my neck and shoulders everyday, I initially got massages. But it was temporary relief, and the next day, the pain would come back. When I finally talked to Newton and he recommended getting treatments specifically for the tension in my shoulder, neck, and back, it was instantaneous relaxation and relief. I wish I had started sooner, because it takes a lot less time than a massage, and the effects last much longer.
