Chibis (pronounced: CHEE-​bees) Indoor Playground is the perfect place to let your little ones’ legs and imaginations run free! Chibis’ mission is to provide an environment where parents can play with their children or socialize with other parents while their children enjoy our fun, safe playground. Chibis has fully interactive playgrounds for both big kids and infants. Our climbing frame is build to support 80 adults, so we encourage parents to join in the fun! Our 400-​square-​foot enclosed soft play area is just right for your tots that are still crawling. They can scramble safely and explore to their heart’s content without worrying about any collisions with the big kids. You are allowed to bring simple snacks and packed lunches from home and we offer a variety of snacks and drinks to purchase from our snack bar — and FREE Wi-​Fi! You have two party types to choose from: A Playtime Party that takes place during our Open Play Hours (you share the playground with Open Play Customers and have the Party Room exclusively to yourself), and a Private Party that takes place after Open Play, so you have EXCLUSIVE use of the entire facility plus party helpers to organize all of the details and keep your party flowing from beginning to end so you can enjoy your guests. Celebrate birthdays, baby showers, holidays… anything! No shoes allowed in the playground — Adults and children are required to wear socks. We sell socks for $ 1/​pair.

History

Established in 2012.

After living in Europe for 13 years, we relocated our family to Western Loudoun in 2007. We were surprised to find a lack of indoor recreation options for our young children. We saw a need and started on the path to Chibis. Our daughter (9 at the time) enjoys drawing Japanese manga — it was her suggestion to call our indoor playground «Chibis», which loosely translates to mean «small person».

Owned and operated by Loudoun County parents Tiffany and Joe Burfield, Chibis Indoor Playground is the perfect haven for children and parents alike. Tiffany, Joe and their two children moved to Western Loudoun County in 2007. When the first rainy day came along, they found that there was nowhere for their kids to burn off some energy. What they needed was a large, air-​conditioned, open space filled with toys and activities to challenge little bodies and minds, regardless of the weather. Once they realized that such a place simply did not exist, they decided to create one… and Chibis was born!

A Bit About the Name: The word «chibi» is Japanese and loosely translates to mean «small person». A chibi in Japanese animation is similar to a caricature in American art. The Burfields’ daughter is an aspiring artist with a particular interest in Manga. She came up with the name and we agreed that it was a perfect fit!

Where do I begin! What an AMAZING experience! I booked the platinum party for my sons 3rd Birthday and they were AMAZING! Totally worth every penny. Everything was set up just as I would have done at home. They payed special attention to my guests and I was beyond pleased with everything! Highly recommend this for birthdays for your kids, its clean, safe and friendly! And with 4 boys ages 7, 6, 3, and 1 it was absolutely perfect, all kids were entertained and had a blast!
Thanks again Chibis for making my sons Mickey Mouse 3rd birthday a great celebration and one to remember…

We were visiting family nearby on a rainy day. We had to get the kids out of the house so we looked up things to do nearby and found Chibi’s. It was love at first sight. The staff was super friendly. At first, I thought the prices were steep, but we definitely got our money’s worth. Parents are free! My 7 month old enjoyed the shaking toys and mirrors in the infant area. My 3 year old loved the trucks and the slide in the bouncy house. I loved that the only thing to pay for besides admission was optional snacks. There were no «gotcha» expenses once you were inside. We had a lot of fun. If this was in our area, we would be back every rainy day!

I’ve been to Chibis several times and it has always been a pleasant experience. Its a great place for children 7 and under. They even have a moon bounce now! I plan to have a private party there in June for my soon to be 3 year old.

Chibis is super clean and offers a variety of activities for younger kids. My 14 month old daughter was able to participate in all activities (with my help) except for the bounce house. After the one hour mark she was tired and worn out which made the $ 10 admission fee a bit steep for us. This price point will limit our visits to once or twice per month.
They have a very strict policy against products with nuts. So no PB&Js for those you planning to use their dining area. As others stated in can be a tad cold, but once you get moving you warm right up!
UPDATE: After visiting a few other places in NoVa, I made the realization the $ 10 fee for unlimited play is absolutely reasonable. Chibis offers a high quality experience in a safe environment. Do not hesitate to take your children.

Clean indoor playground just big enough to keep the little ones busy. Most of the items are for little ones 1 – 5 YO, kids over 5 may be pushing it depending on their size and maturity.

Eh, my son sort of had fun. He’s not used to the wide blue print layout. I liked it better if the entrance fee wasn’t based on an hourly open gym concept. The interior design is clean and efficient use of surveillance was well installed. Location is quite a find and that’s always a problem

Forget bounce houses, forget Kid Junction, forget Chuckee Cheese: this is the COOLEST indoor playspace for kids in northern VA. I can’t tell you how impressed I was with this place. I’ve gone to a bunch of these indoor deals over the last few years and in addition to it being incredibly clean and organized here (there was even a nice changing station in the bathrooms with wipes supplied!), it offers a variety of activities and play spaces that most children can engage in for hours. We were there for over 2 hours, which normally would grate at my nerves, but they had nice, comfortable lounge chairs for the parents, free wifi, and the seating offered a pretty panoramic view of the entire place, so parents can pop a squat and play on their phones without judgment.
We ended up leaving because another kid’s forehead bashed into my son’s nose and blood was everywhere, but the owner quickly came to help out, provided an icepack, and told us not to worry about the mess. He was awesome and quick to communicate and help out.
I honestly can’t recommend this place enough, it’s a little far for us but the entertainment factor it provided for my kids for hours, the cleanliness, the user-​friendliness for parents, and the helpful management made it the clear winner for where we will be spending our mornings this winter.

We had a party there November 15th for my daughter who was turning four. It was the first party we’d ever done outside of small family parties at our house so we were very concerned with finding just the right spot. We looked at several spots before choosing Chibis. The space had everything we were looking for in a venue and Tiffany and Dave answered all our questions promptly and thoroughly throughout the process. They were able to accommodate our requests and followed up exactly when they said they would as the party drew closer.
On the day of the party Tiffany helped us set up the party decorations, served the food, cut the cake, and did a fantastic job of corralling 20+ four-​year-​olds into one spot to sing happy birthday to my daughter. All the kids, especially my daughter, had a blast. We had rented out the space for a private event which turned out to be a smart move as it gave the kids plenty of room to play without bumping into other parties as we’ve experienced at other children’s parties. Everyone also liked that there was additional playtime after the food so no one felt rushed out the door after eating.
The parents had a good time too. Several wanted to know how we found the place as only a few of them had been there. Also, the option to serve alcohol was a big hit as we served nautical-​themed beer and cider to our adult guests (it was a pirate-​themed birthday party).
In short, we could not be happier with the experience at Chibis. Our daughter got exactly the kind of party she had been asking for for months, and we got exactly the party we planned and hoped for!

Great area for my son who is under 1. They have a special area for children under 2 (I think it is 2?) and it is cheaper if they can’t walk yet either (I think $ 8). Remember to bring socks (for adults and kids!). They are open until around 7pm on weekdays and if you have a very young baby that you want to let explore/​crawl/​learn to walk, I suggest going at like 5pm on a weekend after work. Then you can pretty much have the whole facility to yourself.

My son had a party on 11⁄7 and it was the best experience ever. There was 0 stress, everything was taken care of for me and the staff was so accommodating. Dave and Jeff constantly checked on my party to make sure we were comfortable, we had enough supplies and the play time to eating time transitioned nicely. I will absolutely do business with them again and give recommendations to my friends!

It’s a great place for kids of all ages! I took my 6 month old to the infant part and she absolutely loved it. Most staff there are really nice and understanding, however there’s one staff member that is just kind of rude and gets annoyed very easily but other then that the place is great

I’ve been to Chibis twice now, and had a great experience both times. They have a great variety of toys and structures to suit a wide variety of ages — my 1.5 year old had a great time playing in the play kitchen, climbing on mats, and going down the slide. The area for eating had a number of highchairs available for use, and, while I didn’t use it personally, I appreciated the availability of free wi-​fi. The entire location was very clean, and the staff member that was running things was friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely return.

Just adding to the pile. This place is great. Clean, affordable, and well organized. It’s a welcome retreat when the weather isn’t good for outdoor play. Don’t forget your socks, but if you do, they’re kind enough to sell them for $ 1 a pair.

This is a reluctant five-​star review because, in all honesty, I don’t want Chibi’s to get more crowded than it is now. It is wonderful, clean, safe, just about everything you could ask for in a child-​friendly play zone.
My only gripe is that Chibi’s closes at 5, that’s a little early for the working people. I moved a little farther away and I don’t feel like I have the time to take my kids there in the afternoon after work. Yes, I know its open until 7:30 on Friday but why not Monday-​Thursday too? It is literally 2.5 hours of one paid employee, and if nobody is there by 6:30 or 7 you can close early.

Chibis is a dream come true! My family and I were lucky enough to be referred to this indoor playground by a friend. Once we stopped in for a visit, we were convinced that this was the perfect place for our daughters’ birthdays. The establishment was clean, inviting, and met the needs of both an infant and toddler with its developmently-​appropriate toys and equipment.
My husband and I booked a party with Chibis to recognize my oldest’s 3rd birthday and my youngest’s 1st birthday. We were able to fit approximately 24 children and 50 adults very comfortably for our evening event. Prior to the party, the owner (Tiffany) touched base with me personally to make sure all of the food details, décor, and arrangements were to my liking. She went above and beyond to make me feel at ease.
At the beginning of the party, Tiffany set up everything — food, drinks, and decorating! She was also excellent at overseeing the details of the evening and helping things run smoothly. I literally did nothing other than mingle with my guests and take care of my own daughters. It was probably the best party I’ve ever «hosted» because the Chibis crew allowed me to enjoy it.
If you’re looking for a place to play or hold your party, I can GUARANTEE this is where you want to go!

Chibis is a wonderful place for your children to play at any age. The thing that really sticks out to be here is how CLEAN it is! I feel great bringing my kids here on cold days when they need to get out and play, and can’t outside, and know that it won’t be crawling with germs (albeit some germs because it’s indoors, with kids, in winter).
I love the variety of activities they have for kids from the train table, cars, doll house, kitchen, huge play structure and little cars and tractors for the kids to drive. The area for smaller kids also (two and under) is great for taking your little ones and knowing they won’t be trampled by big kids.
They have supplies in case you forget something such as diapers and wipes (I forgot my youngest’s bottle last time – rookie move! and they had an extra so we didn’t have to leave early and disappoint my toddler).
They also sell small snacks in case your child needs to re-​fuel and have a strict area where kids can eat to keep crumbs and the mess out of the play area, thus, keeping things clean!
The price at chibis is great as well. $ 10 for a toddler, $ 8 for a little one, or if they’re non-​mobile, they’re free if they’re in a seat, wrap or you’re holding them.
I love that chibis is in our area!

Came here for the first time yesterday and my son absolutely loved this place!
It was clean, colorful, and safe! The bathrooms were also very clean which was a plus. I liked that there is a no food/​drinks allowed on play area policy. The staff isn’t really that attentive though. When we first got there we literally had to wait almost five minutes at the desk before anyone could even acknowledge, mind you it wasn’t even busy. My son had a great time and he didn’t even want to leave! They have a huge jungle gym and slide. They also had a play area for children under 3 which I thought was great too. I wish there wasn’t a 90 minute limit, because that was not enough for my very energetic toddler lol.
This place is definitely worth the drive for me and I will be taking my two year old back and hopefully plan to have his bday party here in September!
