I’ve spent 10 years in the restaurant business. While this hardly makes me an expert, it makes me compassionate, especially when it comes to how management treats their staff. My wife and I stopped in this past Saturday night, and were immediately greeted by a group of people waiting to be seated. We were greeted by the host(guys, it might be wise to have at least 2 hosts on the weekends), who bounced from seating us, to bussing 2 nearby tables, to running dishes to the back, and then racing to the door to seat the next batch of people, Within minutes, the manager arrived, not to help seat people, but to belittle the host. As I’ve said, I’ve been in the business for a long time, and its pretty unprofessional to act like that in front of other guests. That unprofessional conduct is probably why the host walked out on his shift. But at least the food and service was decent, otherwise we would’ve walked out too.

The Gluten free menu has been reduced to almost nothing– no gluten-free pasta or pizza. I had the calzone. How they managed to have a cold inside and burnt exterior is beyond me. Terrible. Salmon was dry and tasteless according to my daughter. The empty dining room at 12 noon should have been a tip off.

Stopped in on a lazy Sunday morning with my wife and 2yo in tow. Not sure what to expect based on the reviews here, but braved it none the less. We arrived to a very quiet restaurant. Immediately greeted and were told to sit where we like. Server was very attentive and made sure 2yo had crayons and apple juice quickly. The rolls that come out are delicious as is the dipping sauce. The salad was very fresh, however the dressing isn’t for us. Way too bitter and bottled. We will go back, and I’ll just ask for oil and vinegar on the side. Pizza was good, but next time I’ll ask them to keep in the oven for another few minutes. The restaurant is very clean and nice with an open kitchen. I really liked it and found it extremely affordable as well. Wife and I each had a good sized mimosa, we had a kids meal, and a nice sized pizza and we were out the door for $ 40 with tip.

I grabbed a pizza and glass a wine at the bar. The bartender was more into making jabs at the wait staff than attending to his station. The pizza arrived with the crust undercooked and the cheese barely melted. He promptly left and never returned to check to see how it was. How a chain can stay in business with so many pizza joints open in the area is beyond me.

Portion size isn’t that great for the price. Good is never«hot» when you get it. Olive Garden chain is better way to go.

I have the soup and salad for 799. We had the mozzarella for appetizer and the tomatoes on top were awesome! My husband had the shrimp Gorgonzola barbecue pizza. Service was awesome roles were absolutely delicious! Not sure why it’s a three star maybe a little overpriced?

2.5 stars… had doubts going into this chain restaurant, surprised there was still one open in the area… Tysons and Herndon had closed a while back. Me and the hubs grabbed a couple seats at the bar… this place is really a local hangout for families and couples… lots of regulars. The bartender was great, attentive and friendly and made a couple recommendations as we hadn’t been there in awhile. Warm bread rolls and oil dip came fast and was as good as I remember… The issue came to the food, we received the entrees prior to the soup and salad… the lasagna was ok… the salad and soup were terrible… and the food runners made no attempt to QA plates as they were just sloppy… we saw the manager chit chatting with one couple for literally 25 minutes… just hanging out at the bar… not good. Oh well, even with my low expectations… they weren’t met.

Can’t beat those bertucci rolls they give out! Every time we’ve been to this location the service has been quick and very friendly.

I really like Bertucci’s for a variety of reasons. It is uncomplicated… food is consistent and if something is not right(happened twice in 5 years), it was cheerfully made right. Service is excellent… the GM and Edward are top notch! The GM, Usla, works incredibly hard. I have a lot of respect for a roll-up-your sleeves Manager as it demonstrates his commitment, pride in his job, and most importantly, is a good role model. We went there Friday night and he literally ran to get my glass of wine(AND he remembered what I always ordered! Maybe a little embarrassing on my part!). Edward is the rockstar of servers! Super nice, professional, DRIVEN and a pleasure to connect with. Bertucci’s is so lucky to have kept him for so long… actually this says a lot about the organization as a whole. If Edward was not treated well I am sure he would have left years ago. Bottom line… Bertucci’s is a solid staple for italian. Nothing fancy, just comfortable and predictable… I like that on a weeknight after a long day. Yes, there can be problems as other Unilocalers have noted, but I believe if you are kind and ask for issues to be corrected, Bertucci’s management will accommodate you. I will absolutely keep going back to this warm and inviting restaurant.

We’ve ordered take out from this Bertucci’s twice. Both times the take out service was horrible and slow. The first time there was one register being used. I had my order grabbed and bagged but the woman in front of me took a LONG time to order. So they promptly unbagged my food to be put back under the warmers. By the time it was put back I was paying and it took a few more minutes to rebag. The second time there was one person working there but no line. Still, it took 3 – 5 mins to get my food. The worker answered the phone in between me paying and getting my food, took an order, got disconnected, got the call back, finished the order, and then gave me mine to go. The food is ok but nothing spectacular and the prices I think too high for the quality. I have some gift cards I’m finishing up but would much rather go to either the fuddruckers or the potbellys next door if I need dinner in that shopping center.

My visit to this establishment was not too good but the manager tried his best to make it right. I called ahead and ordered their Lobster and Shrimp Scampi and the Lobster and Shrimp risotto. Upon picking up my order I checked my food(always do this… out of habit from going through drive-thrus and missing items from my bag and having to return back to the restaurant). I viewed my orders in my car and noticed very little lobster on each of the of the entrees, so I returned back to the restaurant and expressed my concerns. The manager told me that it was policy that they add 3 ounces of lobster to each dish. I looked at him like he had a second head. I could not believe that a dish with«lobster» as the first word in the title and is the selling point for the dish comes with about a ¼ cup or less of lobster with most of the meat coming from the claw. So, in general, I was paying $ 19& $ 20 for a plate of pasta with about 6 shrimp and 3 ounces of lobster. The manager offered to give me my money back but I really had my heart set on trying these two entrees so I asked if I could pay for extra lobster on the side. He told me that it would be an extra $ 5.99 per entrée and I agreed to pay it. Once my order was ready the manager brought it out and actually did not charge me for the l additional lobster, which is why I gave their rating 3 stars instead of 2. He did his best to ensure I was a satisfied customer. When I got home and tried both entrees, I was so disappointed with the risotto. It was by far the worst risotto I have ever had. I didn’t have the heart to return it back to the restaurant so I picked out all the seafood and added it to the Lobster and Shrimp Scampi which, by the way, was pretty good and threw away the risotto. Even though the scampi was good I would not order it again because with the way it originally came there was not enough lobster and I’m not willing to pay an additional $ 6 for extra lobster that should already come with the dish. This was my second time visiting Bertucci’s, the first was for pizza, which was okay but not outstanding, so after this experience, it will be my last.

I used to love going to Bertucci’s for the brick oven dishes, specifically frequenting the one in Herndon. Lately, several of this chain’s locations have been going out of business, and I can see why. This Ashburn location is still(somehow) open, but I doubt it will be for long. The food is fine(just fine, nothing notable… even the pizza is kind of sloppy and just meh), but the service is atrocious. Precious was the server’s name. No, I am not making that up. I swear. I don’t think she was by Sapphire, and if it was the one from that movie a few years back, then she’s lost about 300 pounds. Regardless, what she has not done is brush up on her serving skills. Precious plopped a bowl of oil and herbs down on the table and took drink orders and then disappeared. When she finally brought the pizza out, she realized she had forgotten to bring any«breadrolls.» Yes, like 30 minutes of just some oil sitting on the table — was I supposed to drink it or what? So she brought those next, sort of like Xzibit — «Hey yo, I heard you like pizza dough in your pizza dough so I brought you some dough so you can eat dough while you eat dough.» Whut. Soon after, the drinks were dry. Precious was nowhere to be found. She brought ONE iced tea out when she came to clear the table, looked at the other empty glass of iced tea and said, «I’ll bring another one out in a minute.» What, are you rationing drink refills now??? So, along with the check and a box for the less-than-substantial pizza that’s totes not worth what they charge for it(it used to be better, right?) came another lonely refill. This meal was not precious at all, Precious.

My husband and I have been to this Bertucci’s twice now. Our first visit was really good, but our most recent visit left us confused. We waited at the door for a good 3 minutes without anyone saying even a «hello, we’ll be with you in a moment.» We nearly walked out, actually, right when a manager finally noticed us and came over. I noticed that this manager seemed to be running all over the place trying to do all the jobs at once… I didn’t think the restaurant was under-staffed(the tables were nearly empty) but either they must’ve been or some of the staff were severely slacking or something — I felt really bad for the manager. They didn’t get my pizza right(left a topping off), but, I decided not to have them correct it and just to save a few bucks instead. They wound up giving us a free dessert, so I didn’t mind the missing topping too much. Still, it was just a weird visit… it was very quiet but slow. Food was OK. The free bread and oil is always my favorite thing. Actually, I ate that and then basically ate none of my pizza because I freaking love that bread & oil. I’m sticking with 3 stars because the people are nice and the food is good, but the service was lacking tonight.

Came here after a long work event; we were seated quickly and greeted by our waitress for the night, Khadija. She was super friendly, attentive, and patient with the two little ones we had in tow(definitely worth the 5 star just for that!). I enjoy a bunch of their dishes, including: baked tortellini chicken gratinati, any of the salads(caprese is faves), the pizzas(try the sporkie, it’s pretty awesome!), and, of course, their house-made sangria is tasty as well. Decently-priced foods, considering the area, as well as nice lunch specials. Definitely one of the go-to favorites when I’m in «cAshburn» lol

Horrible service. If you have the patience it’s worth it. They took a long time to come to the table and even longer to bring the drinks. Food was good but not worth the horrible service. Nice outside patio.

Bertucci’s is A-OK. My family loves this place and we go here fairly often. It’s a big chain, so if you’ve been to one, you know what to expect from this one, too. It’s sort of on-par with Olive Garden, but more focused on pizza than on pasta. The pizza is pretty good, so are the salads. Service was fine. Not extraordinary, but not bad either. I guarantee we’ll be back.

So, we got there and I was wondering if they were open because there were only about 4 cars in the parking lot. I saw people eating outside, so we went in. Of course, the inside of the restaurant was nearly empty, so we were seated right away. We had been seated for about 5 — 10 minutes before anyone came by. The waiter who did come by, Will, was genuinely annoyed and concerned that no one had stopped by to serve us. Will was great and provided fantastic service. He felt so bad, he even gave us 2 free cards for Starters the next time we’re there. The food was very good. It’s a definite improvement from the times I had been there before. The rolls came out very hot and fresh, the pizza was excellent, and my spaghetti with meatballs was very good.
