Steamer’s Coffeehouse and Jack’s Bar & Grill

This is an interesting spot. It’s a coffee shop and grill, and across the street are the prep areas for both. It’s confusing. But the space is nice, lots of room, and quiet enough to talk to your friends. The food was pretty good as well. A large group of kids came in and hung out there without parents, which tells me the area is safe and family friendly.

Great place for both dinner and breakfast! Staff is friendly and professional! The food is tasty and the place is so trendy!

I had breakfast with a friend there this morning everything was excellent. I also picked up some of their jellies they had on sale for Christmas gifts. It is nice to be able to help a good cause and give a nice gift all at the same time. I would recommend the morning after and upgrade to the yukon gold red russet potatoes instead of the home fries.

Plastered across the walls of Jack’s Bar & Grill are many sport-​related items, including skiing and cycling items, which really sets a relaxed mood here. I like a restaurant that is very comfortable, where you can go to relax and watch a football game and the atmosphere here is ideal for just that. You can come here on a Saturday night to enjoy yourself at the bar or watch a college football game. You are able to sit anywhere you please. I chose a table and my waiter gave me a menu and asked what I would like to drink within seconds. I was brought my drink and had already decided what I had wanted to eat, the Italian Grinder ($ 8.95). This restaurant is known for its sliders and that what was I had, but with a little twist. The Italian Grinder was Italian sausage patties in slider form with melted provolone cheese and sautéed bell peppers with a side of marinara sauce. If you are looking for Italian food with an American twist, I suggest you order this, considering it settles a craving for Italian. My waiter came back to check on me a decent amount of times, not too much and not too little and kept my drink filled. When it was time for my bill, the restaurant became busy and it took a little while for my waiter to come back. While some people may not mind waiting while a restaurant gets busy, I did start to get a little impatient. When my waiter did return, he apologized for the wait considering they got busy, and this did put me at ease. If you’re looking for a restaurant that is well-​managed and has friendly staff, Jack’s Bar & Grill is a must.

Coffee is excellent!!! One of the best places to go! Also on Sunday’s they have bottomless mimosas so yes please!!! Food is alright not great but the atmosphere makes up for it! Just a great place to hang out with the family or friends.

Really great food and coffee and nice people. Hit or miss on the servers. They are either amazing or seem like the couldn’t care less. Depending on timing, but I would still recommend it, especially the sliders!

Been here for breakfast a few times and dinner once. So far I am very pleased with this local place! It’s great to have a nice neighborhood restaurant that serves all meals of the day! Not to mention their dessert selection is great!
The breakfast are large portions, but quite delicious. My favorite breakfast is their biscuits and gravy! It’s full of flavor and different from your typical sausage gravy because its made of bacon too!
Dinner was also very good! The French dip and sliders are good eats here. Im sure there are other items on the menu worth trying, so I’ll defintiely be back!
Excellent alcohol selection. Margarita was a well balanced drink, not overly sweet, but good flavor.

It pains me to do this because I love the atmosphere and food at this place. I removed a star because the coffee is just plain awful. It is very bitter and not enjoyable whatsoever.

I love breakfast burritos. When I find a place that serves delicious burritos I have to go back. Jack’s is one of those places. Their smothered breakfast burrito is beyond delicious and is something you need to eat.

TERRIBLE management. Extensive wait for breakfast even though our waitress was doing her best. Comped one round of drinks, but the manager did NOTHING about the sides we didn’t get! Ginger was the manager and seemed in way over her head. Came by once to say she put a RUSH on our order after we’d been there over 40 minutes! People were also carrying ice in buckets that were not properly marked so probably a potential violation. I pointed this out to Ginger and again she only seemed annoyed. We won’t return and suggest looking elsewhere! Perhaps if Ginger weren’t the manager it would have been OK. Food for as good.

Food was very good. The service was awful. We arrived at 6:15pm. Sat upstairs and waited 15 mins before our waitress came with menus and waters. It took another 15 mins to order drinks. It wasn’t very busy either. I will not be hurrying back.

This is actually my third time here. It’s right next to serenity salon so it’s easy to get a quick bite before my hair appointments. Each time previously I have been here for lunch so I’m curious about their wine pairing plate I’m trying tonight.
Well so far have waited over a half hour for my cheese board. Really!?! I will admit that they are busy but this is just ridiculous! If I could get away with no stars I would. The cheeses Baird was one of the lamest I have ever had. Extremely disappointed!!!

We’ve now been there twice for breakfast, and we really enjoy this place. The food is really good, the service is prompt, and everyone we’ve met is very friendly. We will definitely keep coming back!

I love this place! Especially for breakfast and lunch. The service is awesome and they really seem to care about the customers and what is going on in their lives! Sarah is the best bartender and always cares about my food and refills and making sure the people around me are happy and satisfied. I definitely recommend going here for breakfast or lunch or just to pop in for a beer :) even when they are busy they are still so nice and amazing at their jobs!!!

We really enjoyed this place. Tucked back into this quiet neighborhood makes it feel cozy, good for date night and if you start to look around a bit, it makes you want to start looking at homes for sale. Lol. We enjoyed a few cocktails and split an order of sliders. We thought the quality and freshness were really outstanding. Huge Tip! Go on a Wednesday when the sliders are half price. The wait staff were exceptionally nice. I will reserve the extra star because of the week drinks. I asked for a rum & coke in short glass. Asked that it be a little stiff. Request not granted and it tasted more like a plain Coke. Other than that, come check them out. At the very least try them once. You won’t be dis appointed you made the trip.

I love this place!
My husband and I usually come here for breakfast on weekends, and I love sitting outside on the patio. They have great specialty coffees, and the prices are very reasonable. Try any of their quiches, or the breakfast burrito.

This is the second time we came here. We came back only for the gluten free bread. My friend loved the bread. But that is all.
I get the concept of the place. Good for them. The only reason they get one star.
The first time we went we waited 30 mins for a table. Then they us Told they stop serving breakfast. The whole reason we went there… Hmm. Ok. The waitress was not friendly we tried to make conversation. No go. So we had lunch. Mediocre food. Bleh.
We came back to try the breakfast a couple weeks later.
We ordered. Waited 45 mins for our food to come out. No apologies nothing. We watched others come and go. Ok now our food comes out some plates were cold, one order was wrong. No apologies but. An excuse. The kitchen was backed up??? There were only 20 people in the place ??? Food was blah. Cold. Over cooked some plates
So now I sit on the toilet sick. My wife is also sick.
Never again.

Steamers it seem is the only game in town with the highest stars on Unilocal.All deserving.
They have an upstairs and a downstairs area. We chose to hang upstairs. It’s definitely less busy.
Our server was quick and knowledgeable and on point with her suggestions. I wanted to share something between Adam and I. So we ordered the Club Sandwhich and a cup of chicken and tortilla soup.
A sandwich is just not a sandwich. It has to have the proper amount of meat especially. It must taste good. Whatever you do make it taste good. This Club was really good. It came with a side of golden, crunchy salty fires. My cup of soup was also the bomb.
If in the area I will definitely drop by again!

Incredibly slow service. I waited 10 mins for my drinks to come and it was easily another 10 before anybody bothered to take my order. Another 15 before my food came. 35 mins from the time I was seated before I received my food. That’s a long time. Mid meal my waitress checked on me and took my tea to refill. I didn’t see her again until she brought my check. The guy running the register finally brought my drink to me but it took him a good 15 mins to realize it was sitting there. The food was decent but this place is way to slow and unorganized. I watched a group of girls wait 20 mins to place their order at the counter. I probably won’t come back.

My daughter and I went here after an early release day from school. I knew they’d have something for me and for her, based on the reviews I had read. There were a lot of kids because it was an early release day, and we had to wait behind a big group kids. No one offered to help us, even though there were three workers just standing behind the counter. Finally a young guy took our order. He was nice.
While we were waiting, more kids came in. The workers looked like they were about to scream. They glared at the parents and tossed things around behind the counter. «I’m not doing this anymore» and «you deal with them» were just a few of the things the workers mumbled to each other. Yes, all of the children were out of control, but the attitude of the employees was enough to prevent me from going there again. Not once did I see them smile or say thank you. Suck it up and treat your customers (even the ones who have screaming toddlers) with respect.
My daughter got ice cream. It was fine. I got their homemade chai. Couldn’t even finish it. I should have had the Oregon chai. We didn’t get food, but it smelled good. Unfortunately, I don’t deal with rude employees very well, so we won’t be back.

Fab restaurant. So far it’s the best tasting breakfast, since I’ve been here. Many options and healthy alternatives. I had the Skinny Minnie (Basted Eggs with Black Beans) with avocado toast and it was delish.
Service and ambience was excellent. Head out to Steamer’s Coffeehouse they will not disappoint.
