Arvada Care and Rehabilitation Center

This place was clean looking but the staff ignored the patients request for help to go to the bathroom. The staff was busy looking just not with the patients. The food choices are mediocre and not suited for diabetes or other restrictions. I would be worried to leave my loved one in their care. Eek

My mother recently spent 4 weeks at Arvada Care & Rehab Center. From the start, the place gave me the willies. Their web site shows pictures of nice looking rooms with comfy beds and recliners. Not true — rickety old hospital beds with one folding chair per guest. They started out by putting her in a broken wheel chair that couldn’t even put her legs up (she had a serious leg wound). Over the weeks to come, we suspected that they were diverting her pain meds (Oxy), as she would request them, but not be given them, yet the drug log showed that she had meds every 4 hours. When we complained about this, they decided that she needed to be discharged even though she still needed support with the basic daily functions, and her wound was not yet ready for a skin graft. If I could give negative stars to this place, I would.
