A very small but decent mom-and-pop bakery with standard breads, pastries, and cakes. I like the variety of salty and sweet breads. Prices are unbeatable. Owners are very friendly!

Cream puffs are amazing, good thing I don’t live in the area otherwise I will be stalking this bakery just for that. Chocolate cake is fresh, fresh cookies but really delicious cream puffs. I will be visiting this bakery very soon. Also nice selection of breads and savory baked goods. not much selection for sugar addicts but few that they have is NICE Also one important part is that they don’t use lard or gelatin in their sweets

This will be my go-to place for cakes now. I just had a bad experience with a different bakery because I didn’t want to drive all the way here, but now I will definitely try my best to make it here every time. The cake tasted good and the service was great.

Nice Bakery… not so nice bread. Buy 3 get 1 free deal almost feels like I’m doing them a favor and taking some very doughy bread off their shelf. Yes, it was edible but it could be done so much better… The inside also feels really dark and gloomy, definitely needs to change the light bulbs and clean up the place a little bit.

I came here today with my mom to get a cake. It was $ 16 for an 8″(Vanilla?) cake topped with strawberries and kiwis. The inside also had a layer of strawberries. The decorations were pretty and the cake tasted fresh and delicious. Both the cake and the frosting had just the right amount of sweetness. The workers(an older gentleman and a lady) were both very kind and helped me decide on which cake to get. I really liked that the fruits were fresh(this is very important!). My mom and I drove around the Cerritos/Artesia area and visited a couple other shops before coming to Nice Bakery. She didn’t want to get a cake that was on display with all the fruit decorations already on top, because 1. she has no idea how long they’ve been sitting out, and 2. if they’ve been sitting out for too long, they’ll be soggy. Fortunately, Nice Bakery doesn’t prepare the fruit decorations in advance; they prepare the fruits after you order the cake. My mom examined the the fruit in detail when we got home, and agreed that they were fresh(strawberries and kiwi were clean cut, colors weren’t mixing/settling with the frosting). Edit: updating to say the cake also included mangos. Can’t forget the mangos.

I only come here to order rice cake. $ 14 per order. 24 pieces. It is so good. Not too sweet. The owner is so nice. I could only pick up my last order on a Tuesday but they’re closed. He arranged for me to pick up at the restaurant next door. Next time I need to try the other sweets. Everything looks so good!

$ 0.90−1.30 breads, tarts, pastries. Nice selection, got taro bread loaf(around $ 2) and huge coconut bread(only $ 0.90) very delicious and fluffy. You can see freshly baked loaves in a tray behind the counter. Very friendly and nice service! Just wish there were a little more to choose from, but what they have is delicious!

My boyfriend and I came here sunday afternoon for some pastry. By the time we came, there was not a lot of selection left. Luckily, we were able to get the Lotus Pastry, taro pastry and mung bean pastry. They are only $ 1 a piece. The amount of filling they put in each pastry is crazy. The outside breading is flaxy and light. The inside is not too sweet. Really delicious! =P

the egg tarts that my brother bought me was so delish and cheap( ). it was 80 cent each, what a steal right! my brother told me that they run out of fruit tart and custard bun. so i didnt get to try those. maybe ill pay this place a visit when im in the area. cant comment about their service or the cleanliness since i didnt actually come here. but ill give 4 stars based on the egg tart alone.

I. Came here to get my sons birthday cake, it was SO good! A friend of ours got the white cake with fruit and whipped cream for their daughters birthday so it was a no brainer when our sons bday rolled around. The fruit is ripe and plentiful, the whipped cream is made fresh, and their cake is moist and delicious. Only downside is they’re cash only, but luckily there was our bank right across the street. It’s reasonably priced, fresh and delicious! We will be coming here for now on.

I LOVE this bakery! Not only do they have this great buy«3 baked goods, get 1 free» deal, they have delicious baked yummies for my tummy! My favorite, hands down, is their 3 bean bun. It’s this bun that consists of 3 smaller buns with different fillings(taro, red bean, mung bean). They always run out when I’m there — but the few times I did have it I was always delighted. They definitely don’t skimp on their fillings, which I like — I hate baked goods like red bean buns that are 90% dough and 10% bean — yuck! I’ve always been a sucker for mom&pop shops, and this one makes my list of favorites!

My mom went a little nuts buying various breads, tarts, cookies, and mooncakes from Nice Bakery over the last two weeks for my fam to snack on so I got to sample a variety of their baked goods. Overall, I’d have to say its a good not great place to get your Asian baked good needs but the prices are fair and the service is nice. Mooncakes — Fresh baked daily for the Moon Festival season and your choice of lotus, red bean, and dates. The exterior of the cake is a little oily and the fillings are rich in flavor. Asian«cookies» — They list these as cookies at the store but I’d say they’re more like a flakey puff pastry with a paste filling in it. My mom brought home a bunch of lotus, green bean(mung bean), and taro ones to try on several occasions. I’ve noticed it’s kind of a 50⁄50 shot of whether they let the pastry cook long enough cuz there were a few that I bit into where the bottom was still a little doughy. Of the three flavors, mung bean was my favorite and it was the most flavorful and fragrant too. The taro was absolutely my least favorite especially since it taste like anything whatsoever – I’m talking flavorless paste and pastry. Green Tea bun — Didn’t have a greasy exterior. The bread was good and the filling was great – lot’s of green tea flavor. However, there was so little green tea paste in the bun to be found which is a bumer. Green Onion bun — Greasy exterior with some little chopped green onions on top and chopped ham bits as well. Again good bread but I would have liked to see more green onions on top. Egg tart — Eww. I don’t even know if you can call it an egg tart, tasted nothing like one. The custard part had the same consistency as a jelloy flan and tasted bland. I didn’t even want to eat it past the first bite. Stay away from it!

I proclaim that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Oh yes, I do LOVE this place! I came to visit California over one weekend and was craving for their Fruit Tart… my friend said they would have it. Went to the bakery with my friend late afternoon and all the fruit tarts were sold. I was very unhappy, but my friend decided to ask if they had any in the back and they said they were out. However, they came back and asked how many we wanted and they made them just for me! Awwww… that is why they get the 5 star from me. ;o) This is a small Asian bakery, but they have been there since for over a decade. Their fruit tart is my fave, but I have had other goods from them.

This is a SMALL, Chinese bakery. It’s usually dark inside, but the lady working there is so nice. They have many different types of buns(ham and cheese, red bean curd, hot dogs), cookies(lemon and chocolate chip), and some of the softest bread loaves that I’ve ever seen. The buns keep well in the fridge for a few days and make great snacks or breakfast while driving. The cookies are not moist and are not too sweet. They also have delicious-looking cakes and tarts. They take cash only and there’s an ATM nearby if you forget.

This place is small and sort of hidden, but I would recommend every Bride who is on a budget to check it out. They make cakes to your liking(Asian/Chinese Fruit Cakes, that is). I am not from the area and I had a week to find a bakery that would bake me a wedding cake for my wedding reception down here… and I found the place. A 3 tiered square cake… each layer with different fillings for only $ 260!(see picture… though you should know that the picture doesn’t do it justice because the restaurant where my reception was held didn’t have room for it in the fridge and left it melting in the middle of August… not the bakery’s fault) AND it was delicious! Don’t believe me? Check it!

This used to be my go-to bakery whenever I needed a pineapple bun fix. Also back then, this was probably one of the only two Chinese bakeries in this area. Nowadays, there are plenty of options and it doesn’t look very good to this place. I love the confidence in their name. Nice Bakery… you got to hand it to them for modesty. At least it’s not the Bakery King or Bakery Master. With so many newer bakeries opened up with ways of making unique buns and cakes, it leaves Nice Bakery in the ancient times. The place is… NICE, but it can do better in terms of offering some better selections other than the usual suspects of red bean buns, pineapple buns, and the popular corn on the bun. They do offer some incentive to get you to buy more as they offer a buy 5 and get one free. The problem with it was that the selections are not many and each of the selections are in low quantities. It’s a no-frill place that still lives in the 80’s and really need to brighten out the place more to reflect the current times. With the bigger guys like Cathy Bakery, JJ’s, Diamond Bakery, and MiCasa Bakery chains that are set up on all over any place that have Chinese populations, it will get harder for them to compete. In fact, three of those names are within two miles from them. I still like the standard pineapple buns they served. I never tried the cake only because the bakery in Ranch 99 market offered a cheaper price so it negated me from trying it out. The no-frill place from the old bring the sentiments in me to come here, but just not as often as it used to be.
