Yeah took my laptop guy
charge me 190 to fix it and i told him i didnt. have that much so he said how. much i can afford. and i said 100. Supposedly he said he fixed it now im with the same problem and have to pay 200 for dumb mistake. Hey pal how about you paying for the cost for my computer to be fixed.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE. Period. Alot of websites where you can find better prices for the brand. Owner will rip you off of EVERYTHING. He acts and talks like an expert on computers but truthfully he’s just trying to get your money for cheap stuff.

MY GOSH I WISH I COULD GIVE INFINITELY NEGATIVE STARS! The owner is complete SCAM, and PLEASE, for the sake of your precious computer, STAY CLEAR FROM HIS SERVICE!!! My $ 1000 Lenovo laptop is completely GONE NOW! I wish I wish I wish I wish I read these reviews before I made such a big decision to trust my valuable possession in his hands!!! I wish I could curse so much on this post to express how ANGRY I am!
My mom suggested we drop off my laptop to this store because we have been living in Cerritos for more than 2 decades, and this store has been there forever… so it’s testament to how good they must be, right!!! WRONG! They make their money f***ing you computer up so that they can resell the parts, and that’s how they make their business. All I needed replaced was the battery charging port in my laptop, which was chipped and therefore my computer was no longer charging when plugged in. Easy! He said he would order the part to replace it. So we are waiting for the part to come…1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 days and it still hasn’t come! We call him every day, and the guy keeps saying it hasn’t come. Finally, at the 10^th day, the part comes! But then when he replaces it, he says the port is not working because there is a problem with the motherboard. He then opens up my laptop and shows a circuit problem in my motherboard, and my mom believes him completely. So then he says my computer is no longer fixable, but that he can sell another computer he has. (It was completely fine before though! What the hell was he doing in those 10 days, hmm??)
We say no, but I really need my files in the computer for some emergent work. So we go back (WHY do we do this?!) and ask him to transfer the files from laptop to an external hardware, and charges us like $ 80 until we tell him BestBuy does it for like $ 60. So he does it for that price and says it will be done in 4 hours. But more than 8hrs later, the transfer is still not done! He makes up some perfectly crafted bullshit answer than he has probably given hundreds of other customers, that the files are so condensed that it takes forever to open and then transfer… some BS like that. My laptop is f***ing only 125GB!!! How long should it take??? When we go back to the store and tell him we need it NOW, he all of a sudden gets it done in an hour. WTF??? What the hell was he doing all that time!!! F***ing around?! He is a major procrastinator and liar!
He charges us, but then he says we don’t need to pay if we WRITE A GOOD Unilocal REVIEW FOR HIM or if we instead sell my lenovo to him because the parts are still valuable to reuse. At this time, he put us in so much damn stress, we say no. I then wondered why the hell a Unilocal review was that important to him? That is when I find out he has done this sh** before and scammed other people!!! I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED Unilocal IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! I would then still have my laptop to this day!
After reading these horrible reviews, we went to another trusted computer store to see if my computer can still be salvaged. The owner there said that the guy unnecessarily tampered with my motherboard and damaged it purposely when all I really needed was a simple replacement of the port. Screws were missing, and the circuits were cut or damaged or something. WE WERE FURIOUS!!! I LOST $ 1000 on that crook, and I can’t get my beautiful computer back to life ever again! We took it to BestBuy, and they said we were better off buying a new computer.
Let it be known that this guy PURPOSELY damages your computer so that he can sell the parts in it. He lies through his teeth, and he deserves to be punished from above, which he will no doubt! I had to buy another computer because of this unfortunate incident, and he put my family and me through A LOT OF STRESS for WEEKS. If only I read these reviews before! PLEASE PLEASE take them seriously for your sake. STAY THE F* AWAY!!!

I been having issues with my laptop until I took it to modern computers. I dropped it off in the morning and 3 hours later it was all fixed. I had a couple of questions myself for my laptop and without a doubt had answered all of them. I can’t say enough on how fast they fixed my laptop. Great customer service they’ll for sure take care of you and your computer.

I WISH I had read the reviews here before going in. This guy is useless for figuring out a computer’s problem, and his only solution is to say your computer is fried, and then sell you an overpriced piece of crap in return which he says is faster. NOT. Too many terrible details to recount, after many days and several visits and calls… just RUN AWAY.

Don’t go here! I came here to get my computer checked out, i accidentally unplugged the power connector to the power switch on the motherboard as i was cleaning it, I didn’t know anything about computers back then and he was charging me $ 80 JUST TO LOOK AT IT! because he said that I might have damaged another component, he wouldn’t touch it til I give him $ 80! So I went to another computer store and they plugged the unplugged cord for free and my computer came back to life.

Modern computers built me a new tower that’s super fast! They did an incredible job and work until midnight to finish it as promised! Way below Best Buy in cost and a full warranty! Can’t recommend them enough… Thanks guys for the new tower & GREAT JOB! I’m going to recommend to you all my friends!

Why am I not surprised this place has poor reviews? These guys are rip offs, scam artists, etc. Horrible service! Take this as zero stars. you ripped me off almost 200 dollars a month ago over a simple virus. Then, you sold me a new keyboard, I believed I really needed it but when I got home, I checked and the one you told me was broken and it was working just fine. You would not even accept the return of the new keyboard I didn’t need because the packaging was open, You may have pocketed some money off me and a few unsuspecting customers but that money won’t last you forever. Karma will get you one way or another. I could add more detailed description to my review but I see I am not alone. You are a lowlife for ripping me off as well as others. Not our fault you pay top dollar rent for that run down building with 4 parking spaces.

I wish I could give it less stars. This place is horrible. Don’t go there.
I took my laptop in around Christmas last year, and it took a month for me to hear back. They hadn’t even looked at it yet! They wanted me to give them two more weeks. I did, and when I called back two weeks later they still hadn’t looked at it! They asked me for another week and grudgingly I conceded. When I called back, they told me my motherboard was fried and needed to be fixed for $ 175. This seemed steep to me, but in my need to get my laptop back, I finally just told them to fix it. They said it would be two days then it will be ready.
A week later I called for my laptop, and they didn’t pick up. So I went to the store, ready to pick up my new laptop… And guess what… They hadn’t even started on it yet! Matter of fact, it was laying in pieces, disassembled, in the back somewhere.
I was furious and told them to give me my computer back. I was deeply upset with the store.
It wouldn’t be bad if this were the end of the story, but it’s not! The owner of the store called me apologizing for the poor service, and told me he had a new laptop that I could get for a low price. I took my friend with me this time so he could see the poor quality of service for himself. I went back to the computer store with My laptop, to see what we could do. The owner of the store tried to sell me an old Toshiba laptop with a broken screen. After I refused he then produced a newer laptop but he wanted me to pay full price for ($ 425).
I said no way, as I can get a new laptop at Best Buy for around 300. Finally, upset and flabbergasted, I said how much to just fix my motherboard like he previously said he would do. After scribbling some numbers on the paper, he told me $ 225! This is a full $ 50 more than what he originally quoted me for the exact same service.
This place is a sham. Think of them like a shady car repair shop. They probably screwed noncomputer savvy people out of their money with exorbitant prices and unnecessary service. Don’t ever go there. I hope they get shut down soon.

I brought the PC into the store ONCE. I was promised a return in 2 days. 4 days went by before I followed up. This was for a NOT BOOTING ISSUE, had nothing to do with a virus or trojan. When they can’t figure out the problem they just blame it on a virus.

I made a commitment to the owner, Mr. Jonas Nabilisi that if I received my reimbursement I would post that I did receive it and I am hear to report that I received a Cashiers Check of $ 100.00 to replace the AC adapter cord for the PC that I purchased at his shop. It took, and it only took five month’s because the note that I received stated that he is very busy and he needed my address which he has had since October, 2011. First, I think it is great that sites Unilocal exist to be able to post what occurs to customers at various businesses. Second, consider what happens to people who get bullied and made to feel like they do not have any recourse when dealing with issues like computers that need to be repaired. Third, whatever happened to «Customer Service?» It has been my experience that most businesses are very professional in the way they handle themselves with their customers. From this experience allow me to offer four observations that I have made that may help somebody in the future:
1. First, if you walk into a computer shop and it looks like a tornado hit it and there is literally equipment that is strewn all about the shop — Not a great idea — If other peoples equipment is like that what makes you think your Toshiba will escape this fate.
2. Second, when you are told to return back at a certain time and the person telling
you is not only not just there but the shop is closed and his employees are out
front wondering when he is going to arrive. Not a good sign.
3. Third, when you are in the shop and you hear the person who is helping you being rude to other people with short terse answers or will even debate with the customer that the issue they needed to bring their computer in what not what was needed. I call this Twilight Zone Customer Service. For instance, ‘What your screen does not work!” Why yes, that is why I brought it in! No, we fixed the problem it had nothing to do with your screen. Stop, Do you here that music — You have entered the Twilight Zone of Customer Service. RUN AND GO TO BEST BUY!
4. Fourth, when you have purchased an item at a shop and later you found out that the mark up is a whopping 50% lower somewhere else — Not good!
I finally received my reimbursement and I am grateful that it occured prior to the end of the Mayan Calendar and Jonas you did get my money but you never once took reponsibility — it always has something to do with the customer. A little humility goes a long way. I cannot recommend this business but I hope the business practices do change. THE END!

It’s businesses like this that underscore why Unilocal (and social media in general) are such a godsend for consumers and conscientious businesses. The social web is making businesses accountable to their customers and communities in ways that business-​owners like this detest.
Gone are the days when you can take your customers for granted, or treat them like suckers and expect to be in business very long. Word gets around much faster these days.
INSIDE SCOOP:
I had the eye-​opening experience of working (albeit briefly) for Mr. Nabilsi when I was in college, and from the look of these reviews, I see little has changed. I won’t bother repeating what the others have said except to say their complaints are spot-​on. The only insight I’ll add is this. Mr. Nabilsi made a habit of making promises to people and making sure he wasn’t around when it was time to make good on those promises. Instead of taking the heat himself he had a webcam hooked up so he could sit at home and see who came into the store. He’d then call me to try to feed me whatever BS story he wanted me to communicate to the customer about why their computer wasn’t ready when it was promised, why the price was double what he quoted, etc, etc.
Needless to say our moral/​philosophical differences didn’t take long to become an issue and the relationship was ended. When I advocated things like moving towards more transparent pricing, getting real with the customers or god-​forbid cleaning up the place he shot back with «We deserve to make a living too.» Yeah, by over-​charging and under-​performing expectations apparently.
No doubt Mr. Nabilsi will attempt to deny/​challenge or otherwise obfuscate what I’ve said here, but it’s nearly impossible to miss the consensus that MCS is failing to deliver the kind of value, service, honesty, transparency and basic respect that customers expect and therefore won’t be in business much longer.
UNLESS, of course, Mr. Nabilsi wakes up, realizes the rules of business have changed, leaves behind his used car salesman mentality, and decides to join the Internet Age where honesty, transparency, trust and above all VALUE are the keys to success.

This place was just awful. The owner seemed like a nice foreign guy and seemed to genuinely care. I gave him a shot since I could literally walk here from my house. I left my laptop for a screen replacement and he said that it would take 2 days.
I went to pick up my laptop 2 days later and he said that he hasn’t been able to get the screen and that it is a very «rare» part and he didn’t want to order from «China» because it would be cheap so he would get his friends from the «Mid-​West» to send him a great screen. I gave him another 2 days…
I came back and he had the same story of how «rare» it was and he didn’t want to charge me so much for a screen and he was trying to get a hold of it. He asked me to give him a week while he was trying to get a hold of the screen.
I came back in a week and he said that he had been ordering the screen and it is so «rare» and only made for a short amount of time that he was going to have to special order it from HP and he hates dealing with them. He said give him a few more days and he will pick it up directly from Los Angeles.
By this time I feel completely retarded for believing him all of this time and for leaving my laptop there for so long. When I came back he obviously didn’t have it and he was making up some other story. I asked him to give me my laptop because I was going to get it fixed somewhere else. He takes 20 minutes trying to find the cover for my screen, then another 15 to find the screws which was in a little box with a MILLION other screws! Then he gives me my laptop and tells me to be on my way without giving me my AC power supply. When I asked him for it, he was looking frantically and ended up giving me some old crappy one that fit my connection! He couldn’t find mine. His place was a mess with absolutely no organization whatsoever! If you want all of your pieces back just as the came from the factory, then avoid this place at all costs.
I did not get ONE phone call throughout this whole time at least keeping me updated or making some sort of decision whether I wanted to leave it there or not.
Needless to say, that very night I went online and purchased a brand new screen online from one of hundreds of online stores that offered it for $ 68! That’s $ 122 less than what he was charging me. That’s not including the labor!
Don’t go here! Shop Craigslist or do it yourself through youtube!

Had a wonderful experience and not sure what these others experienced. But the Owner was very professional and helpful. Even took extra time to make sure everything was to my satisfaction and offered up additional tips of the trade. Would go back & back again.

this place sucks. the owner is a cheap man who SERIOUSLY ripped me off. I took my computer in to get it diagnosed and fixed.
he said the 85 $ diagnostic fee is standard, but if we can fix it, we’ll credit the $ 85 dollars toward the repair instead of charging BOTH.
he tells me it’s ok to pick up, come by tomorrow, we open on sunday at 11…
HIS OFFICE WAS CLOSED. i made special trip to pick up my laptop, and NO ONE was in the office.
on top of that, when i went back on monday, the manager wasn’t there, and ended up charging me 250 for replacing a hard drive that’s ONLY 100 GIGS…
he’s SERIOUS rip off. DO NOT come here.
questions about the pricing and charges came up, and his employee called him and asked him about the charges that were made… EVERYTHING ON THE INVOICE IS WRONG…
it said 2.5 harddrive repair on the invoice.
after we went back and forth on the phone, he said… give it back, you pay us 85. and i’ll reverse all the work.
after 3 days of having my laptop, i think not.

If you’re like the rest of us and would rather not put up with people who disrespect you or can’t give you good prices or try to take you for a sucker, then avoid this place.
The worst thing is that I dealt with the owner. I was trying to buy an AC adapter for a laptop and he offered to sell me one for $ 80.00. I told him he was batshit crazy if he thought that I would pay that much.
I mentioned that C Technologies in Fullerton sold one to me for $ 35.00 a couple years back.
To dismiss the valid comparison, he dissed C Technologies and acted as if his dump was any better. And who can blame him, especially when he just got moted.
He dismissed me simply for being a savvy customer. As I put my laptop back into my bag, I told him «Have a good one.»
He replied, «Yeah, okay.»
He deserves to go out of business.
