Amazing customers service and the food taste amazing. My family and I have been eating here for a few years and haven’t had an unsatisfactory experience. I suggest you try the economy meals so you can explore the menu.

I eat out often but seldom write reviews. I’m currently inside my car right outside the restaurant. Exceptional service and bargain prices. Onion pancake– $ 3 General Tso’s lunch special $ 8 (Comes with rice and sweet and sour soup) There is a $ 233 item anytime special so I guess I’ll be taking that in next time I eat here. After my lunch the kind waitress had another lady carefully pack my food to go. Pro tip: the ice water here is amazing. And this is coming from a dude that reveled in Portland water.

Quality and price was good before jan 2016. They increased all the prices in January 2016 but quality has gone downhill. We used to order from them every week and now if i have another choice i would not go there.

Their family black&white dinner menu is really a mother’s dream. Economical, lots if choices, good portion and great taste! Why spend all that energy and money to cook on weekday nights, when all a working Mom want to do is finish feed the family and get some rest! Try this for a change, instead of pizza and burgers!!!

I really wasn’t sure what to expect from this place. We came here at 7pm on a Wednesday. Not too many people. We ordered the beef chow me in, sautéed green beans and pan fried dumplings. The dumplings were okay but we loved the rest. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Can’t wait to come back and try different items next time.

Fantastic food! String bean is just awesome! My friend is a regular here. It’s too far from where I live to be a regular but I will definitely come back.

This place has excellent lunch and dinner specials. Everything is very tasty. Quick service and really good price. One of the best authentic Chinese restaurants on the Cerritos area. The Kung pao chicken is yum.

Fresh stir fry food. The lunch/dinner combo special with 3 dishes is $ 21, and each additional dish is $ 7. The flavor is good. A lot of selection, and all the dishes are common dishes for home cooking. They also have a good selection of drinks. Service is better than most Chinese restaurant. We would come again.

This is one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants in the Los Angeles county. I haven’t had anything from this place that I didn’t like! Customer service is on point

Jumped on Unilocal!to find Chinese food to bring back to the hotel for the night and stumbled across this place! So glad I did! Very friendly! Super clean! And the General Tso Chicken was absolutely delcious! I asked for it extra spicy and extra crunchy which they delivered on! The crunchiest General Tso chicken I’ve EVER had! Huge portions by the way! I couldn’t finish it all and was upset my hotel room didn’t have a refrigerator because it would have been just as good today as well reheated! Will definitely be back soon!!! OH! ANDNOMSG!!! :)

Food is reasonably priced. 3 dishes for $ 25. A little extra for a big bowl of soup. So many items to choose from on the menu. The food is good and the portions are big.

Stumbled across here just randomly and while in the car looked them up on Unilocal and they had great reviews so we checked it out. We got their general Tso chicken and the Mongolian beef lunch special for only 7.50 each and it was Deliciousness! Came with rice and egg drop soup! The price is so reasonable and they don’t hold off on there portion size! I came here with my sister and boy did we have so much left overs! If you guys are looking for some great Chinese food this place is the place to go!

My first time eating here with my boyfriend and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The décor was festive and the place is very clean and well kept. The initial welcome into the restaurant was friendly and we were promptly seated. And the food was… amazing!!! Very authentic and savory. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Delicious Chinese foods. Traditional and American Chinese food dishes too. So you can bring those non Chinese. Of course you should just get them to eat the more traditional items. It’s not like they serve anything gross such as stinky tofu.

Food’s good and priced OK. My boyfriend said to make sure I mentioned that he was super pleased with the food. There was no MSG. The restaurant isn’t fancy. Just a mom and pop business that has great service. Accommodation for 36 so it’s a small place.

I have only been to Kim Tar for anything Wonton related but to my surprise Mays Kitchen had a way better taste at least #35, Wonton in hot chili oil, for $ 7.10 that’s including tax. And it is not just they taste great, equivalent to Mi Lay Cay in the ABC Supermarket shopping center in Westminster or to New Dragon in Chinatown but they gave me a lot, I believe 10 but I started counting after I started eating. Will be back for the Economical Meal, 3 items under $ 20.

May’s Kitchen is located conveniently close to my grandparents’ house so my grandparents like to take their friends here. They have a 3 dishes for $ 19 dollars deal, and who can say no to deals? Between six people, we ordered 5 dishes, and it came out to be around $ 50. For decent Chinese food, I’d be a fan! They also make their own milk teas here(and it’s Buy 1 Get 1 Free). Service here is so cheerful, friendly, and helpful. You’re bound to leave this place happy.

Oh May, my love soufflé. Or, I should say, my love chao siu bao. Yet another great lunch spot in the 562, May’s Kitchen offers delicious Chinese food(my fav) at affordable prices. Closing for lunch at 2:30pm, then reopening for dinner at 4pm, I managed to be the sole lunch diner before the midday break. Perusing the lunch specials, which include soup, rice and hot tea, I requested the pork with bittermelon. «We don’t have.» Shucks! Okay, Plan B(No, not the morning after pill ;p). Bamboo shoots with shredded pork sounds good. I’ll have that. Yes, Cerritos! Crunchy bamboo shoots with tender pork. If you listen closely, you can hear an «oink» with every bite ;p I enjoyed the taste and portions of my meal. The soup was hearty and sour, which I love. Lots of white rice, of which I will use to make fried rice later. Plus, the complimentary hot tea made me a May’s Kitchen convert. Tables are available for seating, accommodating around 30 people. Near the entrance to the restroom, there is a semi-private VIP table. I’m not sure if people can make reservations, but it’s good to know you can have a meal with all of your mahjong buddies. Speaking of restroom, the men’s restroom was clean, with no vandalism. It’s nice to see, since vandalized restrooms disgust me. Destroying people’s property = no bueno. Parking is plentiful in a private lot, shared with Pizza Hut, Kim Tar, Sona Chaandi and other businesses. Service was with a smile. I’m definitely coming back! The food’s good, the prices are great and it’s so close and convenient. I’m a fan, for sheez! Highly recommend! Selfie NOMNOMONMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

As with most great places with humble beginnings, May’s Kitchen is located in a nondescript and aging strip mall in the extremely diverse city of Artesia, California. Several Chinese and southeast Asian restaurants are located in the area, formerly anchored by Diho, a large Asian seafood market, on the northern side of the Little India district. Diho, unfortunately, currently sits vacant. May’s, however, still manages to attract brisk business on days in which I visit. This is surely due to the fact that the food here is good and is affordable. There’s also a big Asian clientele in the area to support this great hole-in-the-wall. In fact, there is a section in the menu that present an «economy» meal. You can’t get more economical than that! I always come here during lunch, so most of my experiences here surround the lunch menu, which, for those dining in, is located at the back of the menu. That’s where I recommend you turn to right away, unless you plan on having a large party come in. You get the soup of the day, a bucket of steam rice and the lunch entrée for one of three price sets, with the most expensive being $ 6.95. I usually go to the«pricier tier» because that’s where most of the seafood is located. I typically get anything that doesn’t require extra work to eat(i.e.: no shells or bones) and things that are spicy. Typically, I go for #33(a.k.a. the fish fillet with spicy red bean sauce). That, along with a cup of soup is sufficient for me. In fact, I usually leave the place in a sweat, because, in addition to getting a spicy item, hot tea, and no real air conditioning, I don’t like to order water at Chinese places(you know, trying to keep it OG and not seem like a wuss to the staff). The owner and their staff are pretty friendly and are very flexible. Sometimes I want to pay up at the counter, sometimes I pay at the table. Sometimes I pay with a credit card below the minimum amount recommended, sometimes I don’t. You get the picture. By the way, Visa and Mastercard only here, with a recommended amount of $ 25 or more only. As with all Taiwanese-owned restaurants, you can bet they have some form of ice milk tea or boba to-go. I order one occasionally because the price is right(just a couple bucks) and the coffee is usually stronger than the stuff you get in American coffee houses. It’s also a great way to cool off and hide the fact that you’re suffering and sweating profusely from your refusal to get a glass of water… because you want to seem as in touch with your Chinese roots as possible.
