Brisco’s True Value Hardware

Local excellent business. I support them by heading here before Home Depot etc. Get good advice and no bum rush!

I live in the area and my whole family has been building all kinds of everthing for many decades. Brisco’s is an «Old School» hardware store. C’mon, they close at 1pm on Sat. and are closed on Sun. But If you want Home Depot, go there. I had an old faucet. One of the clerks literally took a standard screw out of a box and custom machined it, so it would fit my old faucet since he knew exactly what was required. I was charged only the standard price for the screw. They like to help. Another time, I had a broken piece of equipment. I decided to replace a piece of acrylic that had cracked with a piece of wood. The clerk in the back cut it to size, planed it, and shaped it for the price of the small piece of wood (lumber) alone. When companies like this are gone folks, we will be quite alone, with the corporate conglomerates If they charge a few pennies more for this and that, remember how much personal attention, and valuable experience that you are really benefitting from. My husband is a painting contractor, we often go to Briscos for home needs as well as supplies for our business. The staff is always helpful and polite. I love the hometown feel and service that we get at Briscos. It’s very refreshing to get knowledgeable and personal service as opposed to the non service that we get at the large box chain stores. I highly recommend Briscos for all of your hardware and construction needs.

Hmmm… I’ve always found the folks at Briscoes to be knowledgeable and even solicitous. Odd is that they close at noon on Saturdays!

Poor customer service, over priced products and ignorant staff. Save yourself the trouble and money and go to Homedepot or Osh. Long story short; wanted to return something, asked an employee, employee gave me attitude, was rude and threw a fit, asked for MG and employee stomped feet like a five year old. Finaly talked with an aldult and return was a success. True Value my ass.
