Great atmosphere and service. Food is delicious. I can’t even complain about price because it is worth it! Happy Hour specials are great. On really nice days, there can be a wait.

We drove from Bethesda to come here, after waiting an hour, and this woman so graciously gave us their seats at the bar since they got a table. We order drinks and then find out they are out of crabs, at 4 o’clock on Father’s Day? Really?! And you couldn’t tell people that are still waiting for tables this?! Will never come back here just for the poor communication, and the bartender smiled as if it were funny. Then we ordered shrimp and clams for another bartender to come over and tell us they have no clams either. At this point I was so aggravated that we just paid the tab and left our drinks. Not even worth a star that I had to give.

This is our go-​to outing for great food in a nice waterfront setting. Their for and service is consistently good. We’ve brought guests there and they’ve always been pleased. Keep it up! In a crowded field of unique, casual dining, they stand out.

The food is soo good! I love their crab cake sandwich! And wednesday is a half priced wine! So I got to order my bottle wine for half price! The view is beautiful and the food is amazing! Crab dips are definitely a must as well!

Great view, awesome drinks, friendly staff. And the fried pickles are TO DIE FOR. highly recommended for an enjoyable happy hour.

Great food, atmosphere, service, and drinks! Recommend the pork tacos. Sits on the Magothy River and has some great views at sunset.

Easily one of the best waterfront restaurants in Maryland! Located about an hour from DC, you’d never know you were that close. The restaurant itself is tucked in a neighborhood that you would never have thought something as elegant could be there. You park in the marina under these beautiful boats waiting to go out on Magothy River.
The service was amazing, they even switched our table out for one with an umbrella as the sun was quite hot. I ordered the crab bisque as a starter and it had big chunks of crab in it. Only complaint is that it had a lot a butter in it, making it too rich for me at least. I had the fish and chips for my entrée but with their blue cheese coke slaw instead. This was the best cod I have ever tasted and the best coke slaw ever.
I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to mix up your restaurant routine!

Quality meal all around from the apertizers, entrée, and even dessert. Blow away my expectations. After I left my table I wanted to go through the entire mile again meal again.

I loved this experience. This is a true, Maryland-​style, marina crab house. It is essentially a boathouse converted to a crab shack… what could be more appropriate. Some guests arrived by boat whilst we dined.
The menu is focused on crabs and steamed seafood, which is why we went there in the first place. I had the steamed shrimp, not expecting such a large portion of jumbo shrimp. I left full and satisfied.
The prices are very reasonable, about $ 22 per person with beverages.

A place you have to try! My brother brought us here while on vacation and we loved it. It’s a bit of a drive, so you can’t have too many of the blueberry cocktails. It was raining when we arrived so they had closed most of the outside doors, but we could totally envision a real party atmosphere. The Maryland blue crabs are a lot of work, but their flavor was amazing. Highly recommend!

One of the better waterfront restaurants in the Annapolis area, and a step-​up from Cantler’s in many ways. The atmosphere is just perfect, and the staff are very friendly.
The food is pretty good. I wish the menu had a little more variety, but there are several solid choices and it’s not too pricey. Hard shells are available in season.
Every seafood restaurant in Maryland can be judged by its crab cake. They’re good here, but I’ve also had better. Filler is minimal an they aren’t too saucy. I wish they had more seasoning and maybe more mustard in the mix. My first cakes were cold, and were promptly replaced with cakes that had been a bit over-​broiled on the bottom. I really appreciate that The Point is committed to using Chesapeake crab meat, unlike many Maryland restaurants that are using Asian crab meat (which is flavorless).

I have to break my Unilocal silence for this place. It’s so good. Ate there six times and always tried new things. Tonight, I had the soft shell crab sandwich. It was delicious. Super fresh seafood and good ingredients. Tacos are a hit as well. Yeah the wait is a little long but this place is worth it. The setting, the drinks, the food. Just perfect.
I would suggest the steamed shrimp, jalapeño cornbread, burger and crab cakes. But as mentioned earlier the seafood specials are great.

I would give it another shot based upon the customer service. The customer service was excellent and the staff were patient. Did not like the crab dip as it had some kind of tangy taste to it I couldn’t place. The cream of crab soup was awesome (especially with some extra crab seasoning)!

My favorite place to eat!!! Happy hour can’t be beat– half price appetizers! I love the fried pickles, mussels, crab dip, the list goes on! Crab cakes are exceptional and the service is always great. The view, spectacular! I can’t say enough about this gem!!!

This place is awesome! Great crushes! I usually get the crab cakes, scallops and grits, or the burger w/​hand cut fries. A must visit if you are in and around Annapolis, MD

Eh… this place is ok.
We came here after our plans to travel to Kent Island were spoiled due to bridge closures. The people were nice and we were sat quickly.
Even though we were outdoors, there were bugs everywhere. Usually places that charge a little more tend to try to curb the bugs around food.
Also the food had that generic «resort food» taste to it.

As a frequent Unilocal contributor, I too Unilocal places to see if they are worth my time or not and I have to say The Point Crab House and Grill was a disappointment. I went on a beautiful Annapolis Saturday afternoon. The location was nice and hidden, very open floor plan and if you’re rich enough to leave the Mercedes at home and drive your boat to eat…, they have a docking station for you to do just that!
The service was friendly and we were greeted right away however, it took a month for our beer to arrive. Shock top is always great so no disappointment there.
For my appetizer, I ordered the Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs. The presentation was amateur-​like (I actually dressed the tomatoes as you see in my picture). The portion size was great, and although they politely placed one piece of crab meat in each egg, it did not enhance the taste one bit. Maryland crab is always fresh and tasty but the chef should dry a different recipe when it comes to the egg filling. When I think of deviled eggs, I think of the devilish calories I will obtain by eating 5 in a row and how I might feel guilty afterwards. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel that way. If I was not starving, I would have left them on the beautiful piece of lettuce they served them on.
As for my entrée, (and the reason why I decided to dine here) I ordered the Cod Fish Tacos. Those tacos hurt my feelings. They had so much potential but totally went flat. The fish was served in a crunchy taco wrapped in a soft flour tortilla shell, topped with slaw and dressed with avocado cream sauce. I guess my mouth was expecting the Cali-​Mexi fish tacos that I love but it went so wrong. The fish was not seasoned well and could have been cooked a little longer so my taco didn’t fall apart from all the excess water from the Chesapeake Bay they caught them in.
Overall, I enjoyed the peace of the restaurant and the view was serene. The Point Crab House and Grill is definitely a great place to bring your partner for a quiet meal and nice talk, just stick to ordering the crabs (which btw are $ 70 for a dozen) pretty ridiculously priced but they looked tasty! 2 stars for location and ambiance. 1 more star for potential.

Ambiance and service: 5. During the summer, they leave the entire dining space open to the marina, so every seat is a good seat. Lots of outdoor dining tables too. You can boat right up to the dock, or even kayak up to the restaurant. They play the usual good reggae and typical waterfront bar music. Just a great place to gather with friends or family.
Food: 3 to 5. If you stick to crab, crabcakes and shrimp, it’s a five. Prices are pretty reasonable. The crab cakes are large, have generous amounts of sweet flaky blue crab, and are perfect if you’re a lazy eater like me.
The crab gazpacho was a little too thick, almost like a salsa, and the seared ahi taco was more like fully cooked and all I could taste was the cole slaw.
They do not take reservations, and this place is rightfully always packed even on weeknights. The only time you can get right in might be when they open, at 11 am.

BEST crab cake EVER!
I came here for a quick lunch with my friend B. yesterday and we shared a side of corn bread and a crab cake.
I was not really into the corn bread with its strange maple glaze, but the crab cake was to die for.
Perfectly prepared, no fillers, super fresh — just amazing.
