I was biding my folks in St. Louis and my dad brought me and my son here. I enjoyed the variety of options and flavors. The whole time I was in St. Louis, I came here at least once a day. Awesome place. A must try!

Good snoball and custard joint. Only complaint is the place is a mess. The kids they have working seemingly never empty the trash cans or wipe the tables down, so bees are swarming come summer.

My favorite custard place in the St. Louis area! The custard alone is awesome but the concretes are AMAZING! The Baby Joey is my favorite! It has brownie and cookie dough in it! They have a wide variety of different choices for concretes, sundaes, and snow cones.

If you like frozen custard this is the place for you! I recently moved here and live near this place. I noticed they are always busy so figured it had to be good. I took my family here and boy am I glad I did. You won’t be disappointed by going here.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. I loved it then, and I love it even more now! This place is a staple for all things snowcones in Arnold/Imperial, but that’s not what I get when I go. I ALWAYS get the peanut butter concrete. If you love ice cream, and you love peanut butter, TRYIT! They use REAL peanut butter and blend it with delicious ice cream to make a concrete that is worth every penny spent. The people working always seem like they are in good moods, and the prices are reasonable. It is clean and even when the lines get long, the wait is always a short one. I’d recommend this place over every other dessert in Arnold. And if you are a snowcone person, try the Tigers Blood! They definitely don’t skimp on the syrup!

Snoballs are awesome and the concretes are just as good! Open all year around too! I enjoy s&j’s so much that I can’t go to dairy queen or other snow cone places without being disappointed. They are generous on the syrup but you can always get a lighter pour. If you get a concrete expect a LOT of your add ins! I seriously don’t like DQ’s blizzards anymore after having s&j’s! Credit cards are accepted but there’s a $ 0.50-$ 0.75 charge on your card depending on your total bill. This is NOT a big deal at all, don’t stay away from here because of that. I only mention it if you’d rather pay cash.

Absolutely my favorite place to get a sweet treat. Prices are fantastic and the kids who work there are always quick and so very nice. One thing I would say though is the parking lot has a couple big pot holes so be careful if you have a car that tends to bottom out easily!

The perfect combination of deliciousness and affordability. Whether you want a snow cone, a concrete, or even one of their great Rice Crispie Treats, there is something tasty for everyone at S&J.

If you are not close to a Ted Drewe’s, this place is a god send. I am not comparing this place to a St. Louis tradition, that would be blasphemy. But, this place does make some damn good custard treats. I usually get their«baby joey» concrete, which is always amazing, but this time their make any cake flavoring caught my eye. I managed to order a blueberry cake concrete, and it definitely tasted like a blueberry cake. My friend who went with me chimed in that the custard tasted absolutely amazing. Their sno-cones are not that bad. However, I don’t see how I should pay a high premium for crushed ice and a bit of syrup. If you are in the Jefferson County area and have the hankering for good custard, check this place out.

This place hits the spot on a nice hot day… strike that it hits the spot any day! This place is great for those whom love ice cream OR snow cone enthusiasts(the good kind… you know… sipping with lots of juice. I dislike the ones where they are stingy with the juice). They have a lot of juices and you can pick up to three. so the choice is yours!

This place has been around since I was a kid. Love it. Try the Chocolate Royal. Custard on bottom, shaved ice with chocolate and cream syrups, topped with whipped cream. Honestly anything you get here is good. If you don’t know if you’ll like the flavor, ask the staff if you can try it. They are usually very helpful.

If you are traveling on I55 between Arnold and Barnhart, MO, — i.e., just south of St. Louis — then this is your must-stop-here place! Even if the thermometer does not quite hit the 107 degree mark in your rental car, as it did for me, then this still is worth it for an indulgent treat and a taste of Americana. While visiting HOT St. Louis, a rich, yummy custard cup treat was a must and cooled me down in the Independence Day heat. I stuck to the creamy rich chocolate peanut butter custard concrete: it was decadent and yummy in the heat. SOWORTHIT. I smiled when the window clerk stated her mom had no idea about . And, I wanted to buy two concretes when I heard her explanation of the selection, but my figure stated eat only one! On this occasion, I sought refuge in the AC of my rental car. To me, it was shameful to waste the fresh air experience, but it was just too hot. I love a good Americana Drive-in experience and you will find it here. But, before you stop you should be aware of things to plan around. On other trips, previously, I had stopped here and did not gather up the fresh air for other reasons. The some of the parking lot and seating area has gravel not pavement. For my purposes with my uncle(age 86 at the time), this was less than ideal because he was and is wheelchair bound. Also, though the area is at the base of a good-sized hill, the eating area before sunset is not shaded. This adds to the heat factor of sitting outside along-side the highway. On that trip, my mother(age 74) really enjoyed her custard concrete in the car as well. Though I might opt for a more solid and chunky peanut butter mix-in, to cut the sweetness of the custard, it was still a great HEATRELIEF experience. And, on my next trip to Liguori, MO., I will venture to try their fresh fruit concretes. There will be a next time… So… what’s the reason for my «five stars» given my comments? Well, it is refreshing to see a «Mom and Pop» drive-in shop like this business. With the daughter at the window, it is a gem of a place that needs to be supported by locals. I promise to do my part when I am in the St. Louis area.

Best snow cones on the planet. Recently moved from jeffco to O Fallon and can’t find a snow cone place that even comes close to the flavor of S & J. My wife and I sometimes make the trip to the High Ridge location from our house. They are that good. Try the tiger blood. Best ever.

Absolutely fantastic! I dropped in here randomly after picking up my car from Aamco because it was scorching yesterday. I expected your run of the mill ice ball snow cone but was blown away by the deliciousness. They had a million flavors and it was actual SHAVED ice. So light but didn’t melt immediately. And so cheap! I had sweet tea and cream soda flavors on mine while my friend got watermelon, which I expected to taste like watermelon jolly rancher, but it actually had a natural fruit taste! Delicious! I talked it up all night to my fiancée and want to go back ASAP. Unfortunately Arnold is not close :(
