Insta Credit Auto Mart

In short, I do not recommend Insta Credit Auto Mart. Their sales tactics are very shady and they say they are giving you a good deal. Trust me. They are not.
Just to give you an idea on where I am coming from: this company has a D– rating with the better business bureau with 90 complaints lodged against the company. My experience with this company wasn’t far off. I consider myself lucky that I wasn’t able to walk off my car with a lemon, like so many people before me.
I drive a Toyota Prius currently, and I was very interested in getting a truck in the future.
Their vehicles were a bit on the older side, many with 100K+ miles on them. Many looked like they were in great condition, though.
The sales person, Joe, offered me some of his pizza, while we went over details. I saw many commercials saying, «mention Buckley and we will give you X amount off of the price of your car. «I mentioned Buckley and the salesperson chuckled, and he never offered me a discount. (Buckley is the company mascot.)
We went over my income and my current vehicle. I still owed money on my previous auto loan, but the salesperson said, that with my income, I should get into a car.
Keep in mind, we didn’t go over vehicles yet, and I never got to test drive anything.
An hour or so passes by and the finance officer comes back and stated that he will not qualify me on anything without seeing the current car. What kind of dealership not has an appraiser on staff during business hours? That is not just crazy, its Insta Credit Auto Mart crazy.
So, they finally come to me saying, «Bring your car in the next day so the appraiser can look.» The sales person said that they would pay off the existing loan. They still haven’t had me test drive anything.
I bring my car in the next day and wait a few more hours. Then they came back with a verdict. They claimed my Prius high voltage batteries were failing and they would offer me a much less amount than what was originally quoted, and asked if I had a down payment. No thanks, no longer interested. My car was in good condition and it runs like I just bought it.
My suggestion: go to Sapaugh motors if you want something used. Go to an actual dealership if you want a new car. Stay far clear of this place.
