History

Established in 2012.

My passion for photography started in 2006 in high school when I joined the newspaper staff. I volunteered to help take photos and fell in love with documenting events and photographing people. For the remainder of my years in high school, I was the photo editor for the newspaper as well as a photographer and section editor for the yearbook. I took photography courses all throughout high school as well, introducing me to film and darkroom processes. When it came time to choose what to study in college, there was only one answer: photography.

Since graduation, I’ve been blessed to be the owner/​photographer of my own company, Christa Rae Photography. Telling love stories through my lens is my passion — whether it be your wedding day, an engagement session, or an expectant mother! I love to hear a couple’s love story and help express their love through my artistic expression with my camera.

Hello! My name is Christa Rae Settle, and I am an award winning wedding and concert photographer from Annapolis, Maryland. I am truly blessed to do what I do and would be honored to capture your moments and tell your story!

I feel so honored by each of you who selects me as their wedding photographer and trusts me with capturing your day! I know how important this decision is for you and how important your wedding photos are to you. I do not take the responsibility lightly — I promise you!

I’ve also had the absolute honor to be a venue photographer for Rams Head Group, photographing amazing shows at their venues Rams Head Live, Pier Six Pavilion, and Rams Head On Stage. Music inspires me so much and is a huge part of who I am. From the lyrics of a song to how someone strums their guitar, to how an artist dresses on stage, a live performance is always so mesmerizing! To have been able to capture performers like Ke$ha, Imagine Dragons, FUN., John Legend, and many more!
