Business Owner

Kelley is an owner/​broker at Cedar Creek Realty. She developed her real estate expertise in the vacation rental and property management arena and later expanded to home sales in the Ebbetts Pass mountain resort area. She is a full service agent who was crazy enough to take on the additional challenge of developing our very successful and busy Vacation Rental Program, the largest on the entire mountain — a position that proves she can juggle, smile, please owners, cater to vacationers and sell cabins all at the same time.

Not content with that handful, Kelley has also served on the Site Council for her son’s schools, was President of the Bret Harte Football Boosters, acted as the Referee Coordinator for the Youth Soccer League, kept score at many a Little League game, and handled awards and time keeping for the local Dolphins Swim Team.

Prior to her arrival here in the mountains, Kelley and her husband were the first Americans to start a corporation in Mexico without a local partner

I would rather give this company a negative star review at the moment. They have lied to my family and I for the last hour. We rented this cabin months ago for a family vacation, the advertisement said the cabin would have air conditioning on both the Cedar Creek web-​site and the VRBO listing of this home. When my parents arrived they told me the house was hot — so I looked both sites up on my computer. You will see the advertisement including the line about air conditioning on their Unilocal page — within 20 minutes of my parents calling the verbiage about the air conditioning was cut from the VRBO site. Within the next hour the verbiage was also taken off of the Cedar Creek site. Good thing I had left my computer on… still had the correct ad. Kelly then proceeded to tell my sister that we needed to refresh our «cookies» we weren’t seeing the right ad, and they had no way to be changing the web-​site. This is such an outright lie — I watched both ads change from my own computer! Also — even in the event a cookie refresh meant anything — they should have warned us months earlier that this home suddenly would not have A/​C. I am amazed that this company would call my mother a liar, and that they would continue on in their lie with no hint of doing the right thing. I will be posting on all social media — and with the screen print of the correct ad. Do NOT rent from this company!

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. They totally got the dates wrong when we made our reservation. We showed up to the cabin we rented late in the evening. We were exhausted. We went to bed to only find hair on the pillows and linens. Disgusting. Every bed in the house was gross. Urine on the toilet seat. This place had not been cleaned before our arrival. I also have a friend who has a cabin in tbe area who had to fire them due to the same issues. Do NOT list your property with them. My friend has had multiple issues with them!!!
P.s we had no hot water all weekend and the damn smoke alarm beeped all weekend also. Needed a new battery.

Beth Parker, an agent at Cedar Creek Realty in Arnold, is a rock star! She helped us with the purchase of our mountain cabin. She was attentive, extremely knowledgable of the area and local market trends. We were thrilled with our purchase, and by the close of the deal, felt that we had made a friend in our new vacation town. Through the years she was there to offer referrals and recommendations, assisted with renting out our cabin and keeping us up to date on local news and events. Many years later, when it came time to sell our little piece of paradise, Beth was ready to help. We lived out of the area during the sale and throughout the entire process she went above an beyond our expectations. Her service was friendly, professional, and over the top helpful in more ways than I can express. I could not have sold this property without her commitment and ability to quickly resolve issues that arose during the sale. I you prefer a realtor with integrity, who will be there with you every step of the way, who is honest, knowledgable, and really listens to your needs, I would not hesitate to recommend Beth Parker. If I were lucky enough to make another purchase in the Arnold area, she is the first person I would call.

We have used them for rentals in the past. They have been mediocre. This review is for the last house we rented from Cedar Creek Realty in December of 2011. It was a large house accommodating 16 people. According to their advertisement, it had a steam room, large kitchen etc. What they forgot to tell us was that about 1⁄3 of everything in the house did not work. That didn’t seem equitable since we paid over $ 3,300 for 7 days rental. The response from them was poor at best. The smoke detector was going off one night (what is one night’s sleep anyway). Tucked up high so we could not get to it, we had to call them the next day. They sent someone to replace the battery.
When we arrived the first day, the kitchen dishes and dishwasher were very dirty. The bed coverings we paid for were not placed on the beds. The sound system didn’t work. The TV’s were old and the main one was very high and gave you a stiff neck looking up at it…
During the second to the last evening, I stepped out the back door. It was dark because the lighting is very poor in this house. I turned my ankle very badly. When we reported this to Cedar Creek Realty, they basically said «too bad». Even though I had to be taken to the Sonora Emergency Room, and have had to cope with this for over a month (still rehabbing), they would not give us any help with contacting the insurance agent for the property. We were told that the form my wife signed waived all our rights (including death) while at that property. I would give the 0 stars, but that is not an option on Unilocal

We used Cedar Creek to book at cabin in Blue Lake Springs. They were easy to work with and answered every question I had. The house was in good condition and we enjoyed our stay there. The reason they did not get 5 stars is because they claimed the house had movies and Wii Games when in actuality it had one or two of each. There was also only one roll of
Toilet paper in each restroom and and half of a paper towel roll for 6 people who were staying 6 days. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and plan on returning in the future.

After many hours of searching vacation home listings I selected one and booked it through Cedar Creek Realty, the property rental agent, for a summer trip at the price stated on the Vacation By Owner Website. After I had invited my family, and shared the photo’s, I was informed I would have to pay significantly more, accept a lesser quality cabin, or lose the reservation, even though I had confirmed the price during booking. I would say this is a very bad business practice, and very unprofessional.

We used Cedar Creek to rent a home for a recent trip to Big trees and will do so again. Paige was wonderful and answered all my questions no matter how silly. Thanks Paige — great experience! Give her a raise or bonus!
We rented Stargazer in the Big Trees area. We arrived just after the snow storms — very cool! Great kid place — besides pool & Foosball table, there were plenty of board games in the house. I agree with the comment that the photos did not do the rental justice. This place was tri level and the game room downstairs was FABULOUS and on the 1st floor — away from the living areas and bedrooms! Seriously managed the boys from damaging my calm. We had some friends over for dinner and wine. While the adults enjoyed good conversation & wine — the kids played downstairs!
Our place did have WiFi however my husband forgot the laptop and I was forced to have an extra glass of wine to calm my withdrawals.
Be aware — cell phone coverage is non existent in Big trees if you have Verizon or AT&T. No Blackberry — OMG withdrawals — thank goodness we brought wine
Only thing Cedar Creek could improve on is enhancing their website to allow better searches for places. Minor gripe.

We used this Real estate company after I found an ad on Craig’s list It was truly a great experience dealing with this company. They are so organized and professional. We arrived to find our keys and a welcome envelope waiting for us at the office which is on Highway 4. The house the Charlotte Chalet was way more charming than I expected. The pictures on Craig’s list did not do the house justice. I expected it to smell funky and the furniture to remind me of a 70’s sitcom… well I was in for a pleasant surprise. The house was adorable. It has wood flooring on the first floor. It smelt fresh and was very inviting. All appliances were in tip top shape. A few minor issues. They needed to have more concise instructions for the heating, oven, TV and fireplace… city folk are not used to roughing it. The backyard was perfect for sledding and we had a hammock strung between two redwoods. It was truly beautiful staying in a cabin surrounded by snow laden redwood trees. This is a super company to deal with for rentals. We are already planning a trip for next year.
Just a note about Arnold. No cell service seems to work here and you have to wait until you are up at Bear Valley Ski area to use your iphone or other internet devices. We took 3 cell phones Verizon, at&t and a tracphone. You cannot use the phone in the cabin except for local calls so make sure you take a phone card. We were in serious net withdrawal. They do have WiFi at the Ski resort and the Iphone worked perfectly there.
