Anheuser-Busch Employees’credit Union

I have been using ABECU for the better half of a decade. While what another reviewer stats is in fact true about their wanting only the cream of the crop in their loan department. That’s true about any lending institution these days. Oddly enough I do have the advantages listed by the previous reviewer and even I find myself frustrated with their loan process as of late. I doubt that will be much different anywhere else tho.
With that said.
I have watched over the years as ABECU went from a wonderful place to do business to something very terrible. I have heard (although not confirmed) that the CEO or some other level of management took over a high position in ABECU and this persons cancer has spread from the top down. Over the last few years the staff have become unpleasant to deal with. The Skank (I know they are a CU but they act more like a Skank these days than a CU) policies that continue to evolve are more and more like dealing with ‘Skank of America’ or «U.S. Skank». There is a fee for this and a fee for that etc.
No one that can do anything is ever at hand to answer a phone. You’re always forced to a call center where they quickly tell you that you have to call a branch. Almost as if to tell a joke. The call center offers to take a message and someone will call you back. Get this. In 24 – 48 hours. What?! Are you kidding me? Generally when I call the Skank, I have an issue and that issue can almost never be dealt with in terms of DAYS. These people have become laughable, well if there weren’t my money involved.
This is all compounded by the fact that last time I checked, credit unions as a whole were more or less not for profit and owned by the people that use them. This could have changed and I intend to check before asking for any official involvement to see if ABECU is violating any laws related to this or their charter.
Needless to say that if I wanted to deal with these sorts of attitudes and issues. I would open an account with Skank of America, U.S. Skank or Fifth 3^rd Skank. At least that way I will get a better technological experience than ABEU whilst dealing with the same attitudes and fees imposed by the larger institutions.
I wouldn’t recommend that anyone open accounts with this institution.

This credit union now called American Eagle. These people are so rude. And won’t give a person a chance to prove themselves. They are arrogant cold and ignorant to a persons needs. Stay away from these souless individuals who just care about the bottom dollar and people who have good credit and money. They give no leeway or chance to be a member unless your perfect. So don’t waste your time at this horrible place. Good Luck
