Worst food ever ordered the filet medium rare it came out over cooked and grey. It was the worst looking filet I have ever seen. They need to hire some real cooks there that know how to cook

Love chaps go there all the time with family and friends, good food and drinks. Digital jukebox too that’s played good and loud.

Good value, decent food. There is not too much restaurant competition around for nearest 5 – 7 miles or so, and if you drive to Richmond, you can visit the OTHER Chaps. You won’t get a fancy wine list, but you may get a choice of house reds, and by that I mean you can specify Merlot or Cabernet. The food is definitely not gourmet quality, but it is cooked to your order, price is fair, and service is usually reasonably prompt and attentive.

Yikes. Penne noodles? They were not penne noodles. The«garlic bread» was the frozen Texas toast you get from a box. The salad was swimming in Caesar dressing. We couldn’t even eat it. The chicken was however okay. But the sauce on the chicken parm was absolutely to thick and oily to eat. If your not from around here is suggest eating out of town.

I really enjoyed this place. It’s small but quaint. I met a couple friends there, and collectively we had 3 kids under the age of 3. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The place was clean and the food was down-home delicious! If ever I’m in Armada, I will definitely stop by this place again!

It doesn’t get much better then this for good food & a great value. Soups are amazing, french onion in crocks. Their chicken pita’s blow national’s hani’s out of the water. Reuben’s are spot on. Their fajitas are one of the most flavorful that you will have(salsa is canned :-(but meat makes up for it), one of my go to’s. Beer in mason jars, low prices, small town hospitality, what more could you want!??

Everything always good. Can’t go wrong Big beers from Mason Jars. Reuben is my go to sandwich. Fish and chips great for dinner. Don’t pay the extra buck for the All You Can eat because the normal serving is more than you SHOULD eat!

Great burger & fries– & they even actually cooked the burger to medium as requested, unlike most places that ask & then just turn it into a hockey puck– very moist & flavorful. Inexpensive lunch spot after cutting down a tree at Blake’s. Very good beef & cheddar sandwich & cheese sticks as well. Great value & surprisingly good for a small town.

I was in the area and consulted Unilocal to decide my lunch spot. The prices were great and the food was good too!

Found this place via Unilocal for a group of 12 to meet prior to Haunted Hayride at Blake’s. What a little gem! Its local yokel comfortable. We really, really enjoyed it. The food was terrific(our entire group raved!) and diverse American menu with about 10 delicious specials the night we were there.(although the chips used for our nachos were themselves way too salty) The place had a little bit of everything at it. Some music by DJ, some karaōke, a pool table, two games, looks half diner/half bar, cheap drinks, very friendly staff. Crowd got younger as the night went on but everyone was well behaved and seemed mellow and as comfortable as we were.

I like the one in Richmond a bit better. Went here on a Sunday — I am not a fan of buffets and especially ones out in the open with no glass protector thing so people aren’t breathing on the food. Might be wise to invest in one of those buffet servers.

KING Crab legs are $ 14.95 on Fridays and come with potato and soup are salad. I could just stop there with the review. But there’s MORE!!! The jukebox is stocked with country classics given it’s geographic location, the prime rib is well prepared and generously cut, and they serve beer in mason jars!!! The service can be borderline infuriating if you’re ordering food but have yourself a couple $ 332 oz mason jars o beer and you’ll cool off. Also, it’s not uncommon to see locals pounding on the tables and stomping on the wood floors after 10 or so. The Ritz, it is not, but I could easily spend a few Fridays a month here.

Ok, why come to Armada — PIES at Achutz. However, man/woman can not live on pie alone — so where to grab chow and a drink. Chaps is the only place that sticks out in downtown Armada and that’s a good thing. A very good BURGER,(with all the fixings), seasoned fries, and cold beer. The patties come in 1⁄3 or ½ hand made and cooked to order. Sliced pcikles, big onion, fresh tomatoes, and lettuce(I prefer Iceburg but it’s just lettuce). It’s basic and good. Beer selection is respectable however, don’t plan on drinking your favorite bourbon or scotch.
