Windsor At Shirlington Village

I lived there for a full year.
Rooms were pretty nice and spacious and rent was on the higher end. The Harris teeter was close as well as a strip of good places to eat. There is a pool open in the summer which is awesome and the gym is in good shape and doesn’t seem to ever get toooo crowded.
It has an outside beachy feel in a way (since the hallways are outside) which is different than most places but is up to your own opinion of taste.
The 2 biggest complaints are its not right off a metro stop which some Arlington/​Alexandria places are (and a lot of my friends/​girlfriend complained about) even though there is a shuttle but it is only work days/​hours. The other is whoever the architect who designed the place must’ve been high. It’s a maze! People get lost trying to get to your apartment for the first time and delivery people ALWAYS got lost and ALWAYS bitched about it.
Staff was awesome and maintenance was phenomenal.
Overall I had a very positive experience and I’d recommend it. However, I would suggest considering other places too especially if metro if a thing for you. 3.8÷5

Location and staff are great! Minor maintenance issues with apartment (normal wear and tear such as a broken microwave handle or issue with a lock) were always dealt with within an hour or two and fixed perfectly. The maintenance staff is also very friendly and respectful when doing work.
Upgrades on building seem to be done and should be nice for current residents.
Office staff is super friendly! They now do extended office hours for pick up of packages and run events for the community. Always very helpful with issues that come up and truly seem to care about your situation and do what they can to help.
My only issue is with the policies, one policy in particular, of the company, which is why I docked it 2 stars. If your situation changes and you need to break your lease it is bad news! My realtor described it as punitive, which makes me think it may be tough relative to other places around here. It was definitely, worse than anything I have heard of coming form outside the area.
To break your lease, you can either give 60 days notice and then pay a two months rent termination fee to break the lease, or you can gamble and just be on the hook until someone else rents your apartment or your lease is up. So if you need to be out real quick you are basically looking at a 4 month liability minus whatever notice you can give that you are vacating. I risked it because I was the only 3 bedroom up at the time, but after paying rent for an extra month and a half my apartment was rented… for a move in date of 2+ months out. It was actually cheaper at that point to pay the 2 month fee than wait for the new renters to come in. In all it cost me over $ 8k to get out of my lease, despite the efforts of the staff to get it rented.
Read the policy and just be very careful if you are not military and you think there is any chance that you would need to move out early for a job, new home, etc! You really do need to know exactly when you are going to move out and the rent goes up pretty substantially if you renew with shorter lease terms. If you do find yourself in this awful situation, I would recommend just paying the two months provided you can give adequate notice. If there is no chance you will end up in this situation (which is difficult to know) I would say it is a pretty good place to live with a great location and friendly/​helpful staff.

I’ve been a resident here since August 2014. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. Yes, it’s an older community. Yes, the fixtures and appliances are cheap. But you know what? It is SO QUIET because it is older and constructed much better than the places they throw up in a matter of weeks. I don’t hear my neighbors. Maintenance responds quickly. They threw out the bad old management and brought in a great property manager who knows what she’s doing. It’s a rental at a reasonable rate and a great location. If you want «luxury» and granite, go spend double at the delancey. They take great care of the place, which is shown by the massive exterior renovation. Where else could you get garage parking for $ 50? It’s a great value for the money and location. And it’s QUIET. Did I mention that? So if you’d rather live somewhere «new and luxurious» with granite, enjoy hearing your neighbors sneeze.

The review you’re about to read is related to the community– the people that reside and most specifically work here.
[Fair warning, I have a tendency to be brutally honest with not a hit of bullshit sprinkled on top.]
Now I have seen my fair share of apartments from New York, Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. I’m well verse in living the apartment life. Therefore, I can tell you that this place is f*cking awesome.
Besides the convenient location of drinks, food, theater, night life, events… the list goes on and on.
Windsor at Shirlington has by far the best, most kick ass, funny as hell, friendly as f*ck and downright awesome staff members.
A home is so much more than four walls to keep all your «stuff». It’s a place of comfort and relaxation. At any given moment I can walk into the lobby and talk with the ladies who have now become my home girls (pun intended). Of course they are just doing their jobs but it’s more than that. They exude a sense of warmth and genuine care for their residents. Marcy, Morgan, Courtney, Emely, and Hilary are incredible. If I need something, they are right there with a solution or the determination to figure it out. If I look like I’m having «one of those days» best believe one of them is reminding me how awesome my outfit is and that «I need a glass of red». If I just want to sit in the lobby and ponder life’s biggest questions, Morgan and Emile are right there with me laughing it up. My dogs even love spending time in the lobby since they know the amount of affection they are about to receive. However, it does not stop with the lobby staff; the grounds keepers and the maintenance workers are just as wonderful. Windsor at Shirlington truly embodies the essence of community. I am so thankful to reside in a caring place among friends.
Btw-​I can’t speak of all residents, but my section has incredible neighbors. Picture this: residents outside on the patio or their balconies, laughing, drinking, relaxing, kids playing, dogs playing in packs or fetching their favorite toy… do you really think you’ll find another place as awesome? I doubt it, but please, try… and when you realize this community is a diamond in the ruff, come find me. I’ll be lounging in the lobby with a fresh cup of coffee.

P. S. — As the roomie, significant other, and/​or pain in the butt that resides here as well, I would just like to throw in my two cents worth. I love the affordability of these apartments. It’s very reasonable considering how close we are to pentagon city, but it is also much more affordable than the surrounding apartments in the area. The neighborhood is perfect! Walking distance to everything you could possibly want (minus an ABC store). But I also love the shuttle that runs in the morning to the metro, especially the driver. You find you will tend to have the same passengers everyday on your commute and the driver is the warmest and most welcoming face first thing in the morning!

I moved out one year ago and by the current reviews nothing much has changed! BTW… one of the pipes burst in the apartment causing massive leak ruining the carpet. They actually had the audacity to try and charge my family for full carpet replacement! We acknowledge that one red spot in the living room may have been caused by us and were willing to pay for it but not the entire apartment!!! It was only after I had a heated battle with the General Manager that we ended up paying $ 200, NOT the $ 1,300 + they were trying to charge us. These people use the term luxury in order to justify the prices of the apartment (We stupidly paid $ 3,500 per month) for our one year luxury ghetto experience. Never mind what the management says in her response to reviews because if you notice ⁹⁄₁₀ times its simply a cut and paste job as she does try and respond to every negative. The location is great but after you’ve eaten at all the restaurants even that gets old yet you’re still paying for it. Do yourself and your wallet a favor look past the glitz because at the end of the day… you still have to actually live here and for the price you pay it’s not worth it. If the location means that much to you get a tent and sleep in the park, or find an apartment a few blocks away within walking distance. This is ghetto luxury at its finest!

My husband, son and I lived there for a few months from May-​July 2015 while we were waiting for our long-​term housing. The apartment complex is in a GREAT location (you can walk to lots of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery, etc.) and the management office and maintenance staff are very nice and responsive. However, the apartments themselves are very cheaply made and poorly designed. Not much storage space. Noisy (and older) appliances. Cheap, hollow doors. We had several water leaks in the walls during our 2 months there. The stairways down to the garages are dirty and moldy. Overall very poor quality apartments in terms of their construction. Fine for short term but I wouldn’t stay more than a few months.

My review will highlight convenience and people.
Spouse and I moved here in late December 2014 with two year old child. We
absolutely love the proximity to so many conveniences. While the Windsor
does offer a shuttle to and from the metro; it is hard to beat the
Shirlington Transit Center for the multitude of buses, and their various
routes, that is a 2 – 3 minute walk from one’s front door. On top of the
transit center, Harris Teeter, Library, restaurants, park and dog park all a
short walk away. Hard to beat.
And regarding people, Milton deserves heaps of kudos. I recently placed a work order request for our air conditioner because it was not blowing cold air. I placed the phone call around 8:30 — 9:20 PM assuming that the work order would get addressed the next day or two. Within a few minutes, Milton knocks softly on our door and is prepared to work. Now… the responsiveness of the maintenance team is nice by itself but Milton’s attitude was surprisingly positive and kind. Milton had to depart for a few minutes in search of a tool that was necessary to finish the repairs. I was already slightly embarrassed at having called him out so late and offered for him to simply come back tomorrow since the issue was far from critical. But Milton just sustained his positive attitude and genuinely wanted to get the issue resolved for my family. This kind of customer service, commitment, and professionalism seems increasingly elusive but not for Milton or others on the Windsor at Shirlington team. Thanks guys!

Fire alarm continues to go off without reason. Five times tonight alone.

I was actually surprised by a lot of the negative reviews I saw on here so I had to get on here and write about my experience. My fiancé and I have been living here for about a year now and just renewed our lease. Our rent actually went down. I believe they calculate your rent based on what the market is doing at the time of your renewal. I could be totally wrong about that but I believe that’s why rent prices fluctuate at any given moment. They also let us choose something to do to the apartment if we renewed, we decided to have our carpets cleaned because we have two dogs. Yes, you are paying for location but compared to a lot of other communities that are surrounded by restaurants, bars and a grocery store, they are priced a lot higher than this one. Every maintenance request has been filled by the very next day and the maintenance staff is very friendly and polite. The staff in the office are always friendly and happy to see you when you walk in. My only critique is that we need new grills out by the courtyard and the way the chairs are tied around the tables to keep people from stealing them is a little dangerous. I’ve tripped multiple times but luckily caught myself before hitting the ground. That definitely needs to be rethought. Other than that though I think this is a great community! We love the dog park and the trails that are surrounding it. We’ve even talked about getting a two bedroom here when we try to have kids while saving for a house. Great gym. Plenty of parking, which you can’t find in a lot of places! Our last apartment we were only allowed to have 1 car and no visitor parking. Love this place! This is the best apartment we’ve lived in since moving to Arlington.

THIS PLACE IS A DUMP!
If I could rate it zero or a negative number I would. The neighborhood which the complex is located is great; however, they advertise luxury but there is NOTHING luxury about this entire complex. This place is the pits… its Overpriced and the quality is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP… I can’t emphasize how low rate this place is! The exterior of the complex and grounds are unkept. There is trash and debris throughout the complex; which the housekeeping staff continually overlook (don’t sweep or pick it up). There are many cracks/​holes in the sidewalks, steps (throughout the entire property even the main entrance steps heading into the office). Even the water fountain portrayed in the online video doesn’t have the «W» on it anymore. The apartment doors are painted in an odd assortment of colors (red, yellow, or blue); therefore, do not coordinate with anything else on the building. The courtyards are dreary and have dated faded out hard wooden furniture (1 – 2 small bench seats without pillows) that need to be completely removed and replaced with modern luxury patio furniture, the grills are old and rusty (the 1 – 2 in each courtyard). The interior of the apartment has cheap appliances (washer and dryer), cheap fixtures (lights, faucet handles etc.), carpet is thin, stained, and of poor quality (its like a thin cheap non-​absorbent dish towel). All in all, this rats hole apartment complex is a horrible nightmare and needs to be gutted and remodeled. There are online comments several years ago stating that the complex is undergoing a renovation but from what I have seen, it is far from renovated or luxury. If any renovation has taken place it’s not much to brag about. I would suggest that you DEFINITELY rethink this landfill or otherwise you will be jilted out of your dreams of living in luxury.

At first, I was leery of the place after reading about some of the complaints on here. However, understanding there are some Unilocalers who will never be satisfied (check out their review distribution — you’ll see an «L» instead of a «D,» I decided to check it out myself.
I met with Allie who gave me the tour and showed me the model unit. One thing for potential residents to note — the model doesn’t have the half wall that bisects the apartment. Yours will. It’s also very well lit in the model. Yours will have some track lighting in the dining room, the kitchen lights, bathroom lights, and nothing else. All others are your responsibility (par for the course in Virginia apartments).
The Windsor only provides a military discount to Active Duty members — not Reservists or National Guardsmen. They also do not provide the government civilian discount some other properties are providing these days. It’s a Windsor thing and when I called the regional office to see if I could press my luck, they were surprised to hear other properties gave a civilian discount and asked me to provide the names of those properties so they could research it. It may change in the future so stay tuned.
Move in day was tricky — there is no reserved loading dock of freight elevator. If you have a truck, your best bet is the fire lane on the south side of the building and get the elevator closest to your zone. If others are moving, it will slow you down.
The management office will have you review paperwork, have you sign a few more papers, and pick up your keys/​remote (if you have a car) so be prepared for the 30 minute delay. They’ll also do a walk through with you to ensure everything is set. If you do find items that need to be addressed, they give you five days to report any damage to the apartment.
Layout is a tad cramped in the kitchen. You can easily have the «too many cooks» cliché going with more than 1 – 2 individuals. Cabinet space can be used well, but is a bit tricky for those with lots of furniture. Highly recommend a curio cabinet for the dining room space to accommodate any fancy dishes.
The rest of the apartment is pretty good — plenty of open space in the dining area and living room area. The halfwall does a good job of defining it for you and provides are an area for lamps or other decorations. Carpet is a bit cheap — I would prefer a high traffic berber instead of the high pile carpet they have installed.
You will be well shielded from noise — I live on the 395 side and I don’t hear the road at all. amazing. The only apartment dwellers I’ve heard are my upstairs neighbors on random, infrequent occasions, and the blow dryer from my female neighbor downstairs. I’m sure she enjoys my kids running around, so I guess we’re even.
Very quick to major arteries if you drive — there is a ramp onto the HOV from the Shirlington on-​ramp to 395 and a shuttle bus to the Pentagon City metro station from the property. If you miss that, there is one of the «million dollar» bus stations right next door to the property as well.
Overall assessment, so far, so good. Management has been good to me and maintenance orders were taken care of the same day that I put them in. I’ll share more when my lease is up, I’m sure. :)

1 star. Just for the location. It’s a crap hole. The rent is waaaaay too much for what you get. If you’re a college kid though it’s great. They take up about 80% of the occupancy.

Moved in three weeks or so ago, pretty happy with it so far.
Is it a «luxury» apartment building? No. It’s cheap carpet, 80’s style textured walls, and crappy linoleum. You don’t get to view the apartment you’re renting (which is odd, because I noticed in the lease that you give permission for them to show the apartment towards the end of your lease). The model is a little misleading. I will say that when I specifically asked to see an empty apartment, they did show me one. It wasn’t the same floorplan, but it did give me a better idea of what the apartments are actually like. My floor plan was smaller than I expected, mainly the bathroom. We are a married couple with a child and rented the Fairfax. I’ve read where someone said the balcony is included in the sq footage, I’d agree with that. Our bedroom does fit a King sized bed, two night stands, a dresser, and a secretaire cabinet and still has room to walk around. The dining area fit a dining room table (Took the leaf out of it) and a china cabinet with no problem.
I will say it is the cleanest apartment I’ve ever moved into. They did a GREAT job cleaning it. However, the linoleum is coming up in the kitchen. I haven’t reported it yet. The washer and dryer are OOOOOOLD. Like older than the building. But, they do seem to be working fine so far. I haven’t seen a single bug, which is impressive given how many people live in the complex, the fact the doors open to outdoor hallways, and the outdoor balcony.
There’s no pantry, but I noticed that when touring the model. My floor plan has a pretty big coat closet. I bought some stand alone shelving and turned my coat closet into a pantry. There’s A LOT of storage space above the washer and dryer. I keep a lot of things there. There’s also a little storage closet out on the balcony if you have outdoorsy things to store.
I knew coming into this that location was most of what we were paying for. I don’t regret moving in here a bit. The reason I gave 4 stars is because I was renting here almost exclusively for the location and the lifestyle it would provide, and I haven’t been disappointed. I was worried about noise since we have a child, but also realized that I was moving to a community full of young single professionals. I’ll occasionally hear people out in the courtyard on Friday or Saturday nights, but I’ve never heard anything past 11pm and it IS the weekend. I don’t expect the rest of the world to stop living their lives just because I had a child. It’s part of apartment living. One advantage of this is that the pool is almost always empty during the day when I want to take my kid. It’s really nice. We’ve really enjoyed the Shirlala wine tasting/​music festivals this summer on Thursday nights. There’s always little children dancing to the music. I was surprised by how un-​sketchy the Metrobus system is. I’ve been on it alone with my child around 10pm and felt totally safe.
I’d recommend it, but like I said, you’re paying for location/​lifestyle, not the quality of the apartment. The amenities are nice, but the apartments are certainly not «luxury».

I have lived here for a year. I live in a 2 bed 2 bath with one other roommate and my dog. I moved to Arlington from South Carolina so for me, the location is ideal.
I could care less how the management is as I never interact with them unless I am picking up a package.
I applied for an apartment with no separating center half wall. I was told that is what I got… however upon move in day I found there was a step in the middle of the apartment AND the mini half wall. I have grown to like the half wall because it is great for decorations and lamps but it is frustrating that they had deceived my roommate and I (lost a star for that). The apartment was clean upon move in though, and it’s surprisingly quiet (except at 7am if you are in your bathroom you can hear other people getting ready, blow dryers etc). The carpets look dirty now that we have worn them back down so I’m not sure how clean they were to begin with though they looked really clean.
There are a ton of dog owners here which is great for me, bad if you don’t like dogs. It is literally a less than 5 min walk to the Shirlington dog park. The dog park is one of the better and larger ones in the area.
You really can’t beat the location if you are new to the area. It is 8 minutes from all the memorials and museums and right next to Pentagon City Mall and the cute shops that surround it. Georgetown is a quick drive and DuPont Circle (downtown DC) is easy to get to. It’s great if you just want to go out for a couple drinks and walk home or watch a Sunday movie. The Four Mile Run is through Shirlington too and has little workout stations all along it. This apartment complex is right next to 395 and 95 so getting anywhere is a breeze. Old Town in Alexandria is a 15 min drive. Shirlington Village of course has a nice homey feel with a good variety of restaurants, a Harris Teeter and a movie theater. For me it was a great transition from college to working. I work away from the city in VA so traffic isn’t ever a problem. If you work in the city traffic is hell though.
My roommate and I pay $ 1,135 each for rent. While it was cold, utilities were $ 150 each (includes power, cable, internet, and electricity) and now (April) they are about $ 80 – 100 each. We both park in the garage which is glorious especially when it snows and you don’t have to clean your car or warm it up.
Both the bedrooms are a decent size and the closets are big (we are both fashion obsessed girls). The «master bathroom» is smaller than the other bathroom but really… who expects a nice big bathroom in an apartment? The kitchen is REALLY small. The porches are large and have hooks to hang bikes or plants or whatever your heart desires. We look over a courtyard in the back. Our apartment is one of the very back ones (once again– totally ideal if you have a dog and need to take it out every morning). We live on the second floor and I park right by the stairs that lead to our apartment.
Definitely consider this place if you are new to the area or work away from DC.

Do not be fooled — there is NOTHING luxurious about this place other than the word on the sign outside.
We’ve been very unhappy here. The noise associated with the building maintenance is shocking. The buildings don’t have interior hallways, and the outside hallways are wooden slats, so when people roll their suitcases or briefcases or anything else, it sounds like a train on a track. The washer and dryer is old. The dishwasher is incredibly loud. IDK if it’s the HVAC or what, but the apartment smells «wet.» The square footage was listed at 1100 sf. It is 850 at the most. Even if they are including the balcony, the square footage is unconscionably deceptive.
I will say that the location is PERFECT, so close to Shirlington and easy access to highways. And it’s nice that big dogs are welcome. But do yourself a favor — spend the same money and get a townhouse up the road in Fairlington or spend more money and look at the Delancey or even at one of the new buildings up on Columbia Pike.

The manager (who I hope is no longer there since she was completely incompetent but still was 5 months after I reported her to their corporate office for her comment to me) was one of the worst humans on earth. I went to complain about them shutting off the fire alarm system (because it went off night and day) and how it was not safe to have a building with no alarms especially when the place was so pet friendly and animals can’t report a fire. Her response ‘I’m not the one that decided to get a dog. If your dog dies in a fire, that’s your fault because I’m not responsible for their safety.’ Really?! Really?! Because you’ve made my residence unsafe it’s somehow my problem if my dog gets caught in a fire?
On top of that, I had my car hit twice with no note left claiming responsibility, and my bike was stolen. They sawed through my lock. It was in the garage-​the ‘secured’ garage.
Oh, and I didn’t get the apartment I requested. It had a partition between the living room and the dining room. I specifically stated I didn’t want an apartment like that so they placed me in the apartment I lived in. Since they won’t let you view the apartment prior to moving in, I couldn’t do anything about it. What was I supposed to do? Tell my movers to take the stuff back to the truck and wait for the apartment I thought we had agreed upon to become available?

Worst place to live in DC, over priced apartments, amenities such as pool, community grills and gym equipment are always out of order, not working or being cleaned etc. also I have to pay for parking every month and last month MY CAR WAS TOWED OUT OF THERE PRIVATE GARAGE for no reason. I was forced to pay $ 200.00 to get my car back, evan though i have never been late on a rent check or parking payment and had my parking pass clearly visible on my back window.

Probably 3.5 – I’ve lived here for nearly three years. Agree 100% with the previous comments about the layout of the building – the way they number things consequentially definitely takes some serious getting used to. Also, the apartments themselves are lain out in a way that really isn’t the best use of space, particularly in the kitchen (half my «den» is taken up with things that would have gone in a pantry in other apartments. Last but not least to complain about – the garage spaces on the east end of the building are not adequate for the amount of residents, and they don’t do reserved parking spaces, so if you’re home after about 6pm you could end up parking a long way from your apartment (5 min walk sort of thing).
Still, the building itself seems to do reasonably well with keeping heating and cooling costs down, it’s in a very convenient neighborhood, and the costs compared to neighboring buildings is very attractive per sf, even if it’s more expensive than older buildings with even smaller layouts. The maintenance staff is friendly and generally does a great job as well. The office staff has probably too much turnover for their own good, but they seem to try pretty hard. All in all, not a horrible place to live, and the comments of safety and «party atmosphere» seem a bit unfounded based on my experience, although certainly I could just be missing some of the things Mtn M. commented on.

I have to share my bias first. The last place I lived was awesome. I was paying $ 500 which included utilities, my room was 14×16, I had my own bathroom and walk in closet. It was a friend’s house, and he built it new, so it had all of the upgrades like hardwood floors and granite countertops. But that was Baltimore, and this is Arlington.
Quite frankly, I think Arlington is lame, so that may color my opinion as well.
Anyhow, this is a great location if you like to run or bike. The apartment is located right on a trail that connects Crystal City/​Alexandria to Leesburg. The trail system around here is top notch. You could easily ride your bike to Georgetown or Mt. Vernon if you were so inclined, but I digress…
But here are my pros-​cons
Pro:
1. Location — Restaurants, right off of 395, easy access to bus routes, shuttle to work, etc
2. Staff — the front office staff is friendly
3. Maintenance — when i put in a request, it usually gets taken care of before I get home from work the next day
4. Impressive gym for an apartment complex, but see number 5 below.
Con
1. Price — but I guess everything is expensive around here…
2. Layout — Whoever designed this building is probably in some sort of drug rehab right now. It took me a few weeks to find my way around and it’s not the least bit intuitive.
3. Layout — I live in the front bedroom and all of the walkways are wood decks, so I can hear people walk by at night. It can be loud if the person is wearing heals or rolling a cart/​stroller
4. Storage — There isn’t any in the unit, and the storage lockers in the basement are overpriced/​undersized and hard to get to. The rocket surgeon who designed this place put parking spots right in front of the entrance to the storage unit, so carrying a big box can be treacherous. Unless you don’t care about scratching/​denting/​breaking mirrors of other people’s cars.
5. The gym is well equipped, but the radios that allow you to listen to the tvs don’t work. I can’t stand running on a treadmill w/​o a tv or something
6. Office hours — can’t pick up packages after 6pm, which sucks, because traffic in NOVA is terrible and it’s tough getting home that early.
7. The apartment feels small, but I guess it’s a function of astronomical prices in the area.

Poor Management/​Deceptive practices/Unsafe/insecure/“party atmosphere”
As a resident over three years we have steadily watched the quality of life and professionalism of the Management team here decline significantly.
Side note: the Maintenance Crew does an admirable job with the resources they are given. They are always polite, courteous, and helpful (did a bang up job in the Feb. Blizzards). Unfortunately they are often given inaccurate information from the «office», things like times to enter apartment, actual nature of problem, etc which occasionally puts the maintenance crew in a bad light but I’ve found often it is not a problem of their making.
In three years our rent has increased by approximately 20%. This, in a real estate market that, at best, is only holding value, and in most local cases, loosing value. We have been told these increases are for the «privilege» of living here. In the last year and half some of the privileges have included have the cops show up three times in the wee hours of the morning to one neighbors apartment alone, having my car blocked in at 5:45 in the AM by cops while they investigated another domestic violence incident at yet another tenants, in the last month seeing two cars in the «secure» parking that have had their wheels/​rims stolen and cars put up on blocks (and at least one other cars window broken out, that we know of)… I think the point has been made.
The final straw came, when after receiving a renewal notice asking for yet another increase in rent (while perfectly legal) having to walk with my girlfriend and dog by not one, but two, «beer pong» parties in court yards full of drunken «kids» who were, to be polite, loud and boisterous well after dark and well after official «quite hours». When these issues have been brought up we were either dismissed rudely, told that we should have called the police (cause it was our fault we were harassed) or that basically there was nothing they could about break-​ins.
Many other reviews of the Windsor (see other sites) point out the darkness of the hallways/​stairwells, safety concerns, lack of organization/​follow through from the management, the «party atmosphere» that is coming into vogue and numerous other complaints. Unless of course the reviews were posted by staff themselves, which are easy to spot.. (A big trick at the other Windsor property in the area, Io.)
All of which is a shame cause the «town» of Shirlington is a great location but is no longer worth the hassle of dealing with Windsor management.
