The BF and I are new dog owners and when we heard about this event from our CM, we knew we had to check it out. We have a rescue Bichon Frise who is afraid of everything so we thought this would be a good place for him to be around other dogs.(Our poor guy was so nervous he didn’t even eat any of the free treats!!) There were SOMANYFREEBIES!!! Each tent was giving away something and I am a sucker for freeeeeeee. We made out with lots of dog treats, frisbees, toys, poop bags, portable water bowl, balls, balloon shaped like a tick… and everyone was so friendly! We also entered ourselves into just about every raffle that was available. We were also able to get a lot of information about dog sitting, grooming, training, and pet hotel services. Such a perfect one-stop shop to get all the info we need. This is the perfect event for those looking to adopt a dog too — there were tons of puppies and adult dogs up for adoption. They even had a dog kissing booth! They had a really great band playing music too! We stayed for 4 hours — amazing! I can’t wait to go back next year!

This is a yearly event in the Shirlington area. We brought a pack of dogs with us(3 of them). The place was crawling with dogs of all sizes. There were booths lined up back to back all along the main drag of Shirlington. Our pack were nose to nose with other dogs. They had a good time and got some fun treats.

This was my first year attending and exhibiting for Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. It was a fantastic event for the whole family– kids and pets especially. Tons of food, live music, and entertainment. Will be back next year!

We love out Saturday ritual taking our dog to the shirlington dog park(see my review for that separately) and this was a great day as well. Tons of vendors related to dogs and tons of dog lovers everywhere. Ate out at a patio and bought some treats and a great time on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of free treats around provided as well. Highly recommend you attend next year.
