Called Tony’s with a large to-go order based on other reviews on Unilocal.Pizza was very good and it was delivered promptly. Would recommend the pizza.

Not cheap. Nice waitress but I took my pie. I’ve had better but someday I’ll try some thing else and we will see. It was an awkward part of the day. :-)

I dont know why people say this isnt Tonys anymore. It IS still Tonys. They just remodeled the inside and refined the menu. The Penne Vodka was amazing. Pasta cooked to perfection. And the Stacked Eggplant was to die for. The portions are large and most entrees come with a salad so come hungry. They always bring warm bread to the table when you arrive.

Saljo’s is great! I decided to try this place out after I saw a review in the FW Weekly. I am so glad I did! This place has become a regular spot for my boyfriend and I. We haven’t tried a dish we haven’t liked. My favorite is the Penne Vodka. The sauce is creamy and lovely, and there is enough to take home leftovers for dinner the next night. The desert cannoli is so good, crispy with a divine cream inside. The service is always 100% and Sal is usually there to thank you or have a chat, and there are always friendly regulars at the bar.

This place is now called Saljo’s Pizza(Tony has moved a few miles down the road). Decided to go for a specialty pizza: Grandma’s pie is a classic tomato, olive oil and Italian cheeses pizza. Dang, pie are square(math humor) or at least this giant for only $ 14 was, cut into 9 large square pieces of thin crust(described as Sicilian, so it is not super thin, stick chewy in a good way). I am impressed. The place is BYOB(beer and wine) and was popular on the weeknight I was there: I suspect this is one of those secret neighborhood spots as a lot of friends seems to be gathering here. Hope it sticks around longer than Tony.

We first started visiting Tony’s back when they were on Arkansas Ln. In fact, some of the nostalgic pieces of the Arkansas restaurant survived the move to Park Row. The theme emphasis is New York, with pictures of Marlin Brando in The Godfather, Tina and Tony’s Wedding, Brooklyn kitsch, and autographed celebrity photos. The seating is ample with tables and a bar, but it can be crowded on weekend nights. A small stage set-up features occasional live music. Pizza from Tony’s has been a weekly tradition for many years. Pizza is hand tossed and is absolutely delicious. The pizza bottom is thin and browned, and the crust edge is light, thick and bubbly. Never burned. The toppings are classic, the mushrooms and onions fresh, and spinach appears to be fresh/blanched. Pepperoni-spinach-mushroom is an outstanding delight. The pasta portions are generous and very tasty, too. Many recipes are artery cloggers like chicken Alfredo and pesto. But the marinara sauces and white clam and linguine are extremely satisfying, too, without weighing you down. A relaxed atmosphere good for the family, with really good prices.

This place has gotten worse over the years and especially after it moved to Pantego. Last time I went, the food was cold and the service was terrible. There was hardly any meat in my husband’s Philly Cheesesteak. They also added some Mexican food to the menu, which is outlandish for an Italian restaurant. We vowed never to return. Please go to Prespa’s instead. BYOB. Enough said. P. S. Don’t ever drink the water in Pantego because it tastes like dirt. Order iced tea if you must.

Went again for Mother’s Day 2009. No wait for seating but bustling; fast service with a smile. Food was once again excellent and low-cost.

Good and cheap!: I like the pizza, the lasagna, the spaghetti, and the house salad dressing. They deliver too. I ate here regularly for 12 years when I was living in Arlington. I miss it.
