History

Established in 1984.

Having tried scores of jury trials and having appeared at hundreds of contested hearings, Mr. Weaver’s 30 years of practice in North Texas has encompassed multitudes of complex legal disputes ranging from serious injury cases (for both the prosecution and defense) to multi-​party commercial litigation. He is known for his effective advocacy skills and his almost encyclopedic knowledge of law and procedure. At the same time, Mr. R. David Weaver, Senior DirectorWeaver is noted for his ability to transform complicated legal concepts into plain language so that clients, jurors and judges are able to quickly grasp the factual and legal issues that apply in a given case. Mr. Weaver began his legal career with a respected large firm in downtown Fort Worth, and he has for more than 21 years owned and managed his own firm.

Mr. Weaver earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors from Baylor University School of Law in 1982. Since that time, he has been engaged in the following areas of practice: Bankruptcy, General Business and Commercial Matters, Construction Law, Commercial Litigation, Insurance & ERISA Matters, Federal Income Tax and Local Property Tax Matters, and Real Estate Matters.

Mr. Weaver is a member of the following professional associations: Arlington Bar Association (Director, 1999 – 2002); Tarrant County Bar Association (Speaker’s Bureau and Media Relations Committee); State Bar of Texas; and Member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. He is admitted to practice in all State Courts and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
