My mom and I went in for a gel manicure and our first impression was good. Tai(the manager) seemed nice and told us how wonderful her service was. She even eluded to the fact that«if you ever had a problem with a salon/spa, you should go back». We had a pleasant experience and were all set to go back in 2 weeks for a gel mani-pedi and I was ready to be a regular massage client. Within 3 – 4 days, the gel manicure was wearing away and I called to let Tai know.(I’ve gotten gel manicures before and they’ve lasted 2 – 3 weeks.) I left 3 messages and never received a phone call back! I called a fourth time, and when she answered, I told her what happened. She was not very responsive but said to let her know when we could come back. When I tried to schedule a time to go back, she didn’t call back! With this kind of service and disrespect to clients, why would anyone go back to this salon? She lost a great client who would’ve brought her a lot of business. I WOULDNOTRECOMMENDTHISSALON/SPA!

Our business just moved in the area and since I am the kind of guy who only has time to get his hair cut on lunch breaks. I gave the salon a try. Probably the best hair cut and styling I have ever had, no exaggeration. The stylist took her time to figure out what I wanted and then went right to it. The staff was friendly and very attentive, I will definitely be going back. Price was very reasonable.

This was not a massage, it was a torture session. Even when I screamed in pain, the masseuse just kept going. have had many deep-tissues massages, but this was really torture and extremely painful. No one waiting, no appointments, hmmmmm. Hotel should rethink having this ‘spa’ linked to them.

I did NOT go to the salon — this is for SPA/MASSAGE. :) My husband and I were staying at the Tulalip Casino/Resort. We found out the spa there was closed on Tuesdays(the day DH wanted to play poker). So they hooked me up with this spa($ 80/hr … as opposed to the $ 120+/hr at the casino) — and even gave me a shuttle ride to and from … great concierge there! KRISTENJENKINS was my masseuse. And I have to say, she was the second best massage I have ever had(the first was at the Hadsten House in Solvang, CA) I told her my specific needs — pains i had, injuries and ticklish spots to avoid. And told her to do what she thinks is best for me and my body. Specifically, I have a bum hip — and it had been really starting to hurt again. She worked that thing — and almost brought me to tears. I told her it hurt to which she explained the physiology of the muscles and that if I trusted her, she would help the pain. SERIOUSLY!!! I stood up afterward with NO pain — and a week later still NO pain! I also struggle with headaches. She worked on those muscles — miracles again! And gave me great pointers to help with the tension. I have no experience with this salon — and only with this one masseuse — but HIGHLY recommend KRISTENJENKINS!

Unfortunately, my experience at The Spa and Salon at Medallion Hotel was not a good one. I went there for a bridal hairdo consultation/practice and makeup consultation/practice and was completely dissatisfied with my experience. What I wanted was a very simple do — curly and half pulled up. I explained to the hair stylist that my hair only holds curl if it is set in hot rollers(I know, they are a think of the 80s, but really its the only thing that works in my hair). Instead of using hot rollers he attempted to curl my hair with a straight iron. No joke. After not getting any curly strands, he tried to curl my hair with a curling iron — completely ignoring my request for an attempt with hot rollers. Well that fell flat too. He then said«well, on the day of your wedding I will use hot rollers.» And that was the end of my bridal hairdo consultation — approximately 20 minutes. It wouldn’t have been such a big deal if it was free, but I had to shell out $$ for that practice run, even after I said«that’s it? that’s all you’re going to do?» Keep in mind, when I made the appointment, they promised that I would leave with my hair exactly as it would look on my wedding day. So now we move on to my makeup consultation/practice run. I must first say that the makeup artist was very very sweet and easy to talk to. That being said, there was a lack of supplies on hand. No eye liner, no blush, and no lipstick. I left looking like I did when I arrived. I was told that the Salon was under new ownership and that they didn’t have a lot of supplies on hand. So why in the world was I promised a consultation with full makeup? Who knows. All in all my experience was not good. I paid $ 75 for what was supposed to be a near replica of what I would look like on my wedding day. What I ended up with was straight hair and foundation on my face. Oh and $ 75 poorer. A week later I called the owner and told her about my experience. If I was a business owner, I would want to know what was going on in my salon. Instead of offering me a refund, she offered me a massage. Who knows what I would have gotten had I taken her up on it — probably half a massage and the promise of a better massage next time. Needless to say, I went elsewhere to get my hair done for my wedding day. In fact, I went to a salon literally across the street(I-5) from The Spa and Salon. If you need a place in Arlington to get your hair done, I highly recommend Nicole at Salon Chirella. She knows hair and is super talented. AND, she makes sure you’re completely satisfied before you leave.
