History

Established in 1991.

The Legacy Group of LeaderOne Financial has been a locally run buiness by Chad and Joy Bates for over 33 years. Chad opened the business after leaving the banking industry and Joy joined shortly after, leaving the daycare industry.

Legacy is well known around the Arlington community and Chad has been involved in over $ 4.5 billion worth of transactions since the business opened. Legacy has received numerous awards including being an Inc. 500 company, Arlington Chamber of Commerce business of the year, and the only Mortgage operation in a 10 county area to receive the Golden Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics from the Better Business Bureau.

Meet the Manager

Joy B.

Manager

Joy Bates holds a B.B.A. in Business from the University of Texas at Arlington and is an Alpha Chi Omega sorority alumnus. Her business background includes consulting for and managing physician groups, 20 years as a child care owner and director and 16 years in the mortgage banking business. During her tenure with Legacy, Joy has served as Controller, Director of Human Resources and most recently as Director of Plan Administration with LegacyCare™. Her background in H.R. allows her to customize the LegacyCare™ Real Estate Benefit Plan to each clients’ needs. LegacyCare™ is an all-​inclusive, one-​stop-​shopping approach to the Real Estate industry.

Joy’s community activities and affiliations include P.T.A. boards and Junior League of Arlington, She was also awarded the P.T.A.‘s Texas Life Member Award for outstanding service to youth.

Chad and Joy are the proud parents of three wonderful young adults and enjoy cooking, watching sports and traveling in their spare time.
