History

Established in 2011.

We started as PKS Coffee in 2009 as a double window drive-​thru stand at Lakewood Crossing, but had to close due to a road constuction project on the Smokey Pt. exit changing our entrance and blocking our signage. About 18 months later, we finished the remodel of our new space in Cascade Medical Center, next door to Cascade Valley Hospital where John’s Pharmacy had been. August 8, 2011 we reopened our doors as a coffee shop with a drive-​thru.

Business Owner

I was born and raised in Arlington and, after graduating from college in the Midwest, I returned to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. With the help of my parents, I opened a drive-​thru stand in Smokey Pt, which we closed shortly after due to construction. In the time between closing and re-​opening (almost two years), I worked at GNC. This experience awakened my interest in helping people get healthier and reaching their goals in regards to weight and overall health. I decided that I wanted to become a nurse and started school to make that happen. I am currently waiting to find out about admission for the winter quarter at EvCC.

While considering what we wanted to do with our new, larger space that we were re-​opening, I decided that I wanted to take what I had learned at GNC and put it to use in my business. I try to provide healthy options, along with the standard options you find at a coffee shop, in order to help anyone meet their goals.
