I’m a truck driver that goes cross country. We found this shop on one of our trips. I first came here for some earrings. They have a great selection of different styles for people with large earlobes. They were so great friendly and helpful, so 6 months later I came back to get a tattoo. Taylor was the artist. He was so professional and friendly. His work is top notch. I have a lot of tattoos and have been to a few shops(mainly in California) but Crypt Tattoo is now on the top of my list. Want a tattoo, whether it’s your first or more, come here! They will treat you very well.

I like this place! But it’s crazy expensive, even compared to other shops w similar jewelry. They charge you seperately for the jewelry when you get pierced. Even if you go with the cheapest generic stud… It was like $ 50 minimum for a piercing last time I got one done, not including tip(wtffff). But at least they do a good job. I mostly come here to get a new earring or something now, but they are nice & knowledgable.

Piercings=Cody. I live in Fort Worth and a piercer there referred me to Cody, so that’s how legit he is. He was clean, professional, and an overall great experience. I got my daith pierced, super easy breezy. Also got some conch jewelry put in by Ali, love her and can’t wait to use her for poercings in the future. Ordered some jewelry for my orbital and rook and can’t wait to be back! Top notch clan :) Took a star off because I thought they had more jewelry there, easy ordering process though.

I am so glad that I got my first tattoo from this place. I visited Crypt two weeks back– this place was recommended by a friend. I met Taylor, who is by the way such a sweetheart, and I discussed my design with him. I wanted a phoenix feather on my shoulder/chest and I was freaked out because I knew that part of the body would hurt a lot. But he honestly told me how the whole process goes, about the fresh needles that they use, how much its gonna hurt and told me to relax! ;) So I took an appointment for the next day and finally got the first tattoo of my life. Taylor made it real easy and made sure I was comfortable. It took about 25 minutes, which was pretty fast, it got over quickly and the tat looks soooo beautifulll. I absolutely love it! I am definitely coming back to this place and getting another tattoo done. Thank you Taylor for your ideas and the final design. Good luck!

The piercer and the apprentice are THEBEST. I will never go anywhere else for a piercing ever. They took a lot of time with me to discuss my piercing options and pros and cons of different methods. They showed me all of the jewelry and were extremely patient with me while I asked them a million questions and changed my mind. They have the most beautiful body jewelry I have ever seen and it’s all life time guaranteed. It’s pretty expensive but it is SO worth it. They also have really good quality but cheap plugs. They were extremely knowledgable and professional. They weren’t the type to BS you or just try to get you in and out and take your money. They were super friendly and extremely nice. I went with three other girls and they were friendly and talkative to all of us and let them watch. The shop was also incredibly clean and we watched them sterilize the jewelry and unpackaged the tools. Everything was very organized and the entire shop even smelled amazing. It was very obvious that they both have a passion for what they do and really want to take care of you. He was very thorough about the placement of the piercing and explained to be exactly how he was going to do it. Parking was super easy and right next to the shop. The one and ONLY down side to the shop is the price but it’s so very worth every penny. I got a pair of plugs, my sternum pierced, and jewelry for my philtrum piercing and it was around 200 $. I will be going back very soon to get my nape pierced.

Nick is amazing. Although this was not my first tattoo it was the first from someone I did not directly know. He really put me at ease and did an amazing job. The staff there is awesome!

I went to Taylor for my first tattoo in March after looking at his portfolio online and talking to him in store. I am so so so glad I did! He was patient and answered all my questions even if they seemed totally silly. He let me watch him open the sterilized needles package and he explained the whole ink process to me. He was so great. He also designed my piece from scratch– I only showed him the flowers I wanted and he sketched up my piece for me. After it was all done I have a gorgeous and classic piece that reminds me of all the women in my family and Texas. Major props to The Crypt!

Wanted both of my feet done. Went in and talked to Audra really friendly and open to my idea. She give me a few days to get the money together then I came in and she knocked it out in 3 hours. Both of my feet are almost completely covered with full color. Great pricing and she had a soft hand. Getting the tattoo hurt of course but it is healing a lot better than my arm not as tender. The facility is very clean and everyone is nice. I was the only person in there at first so all the artist where coming over to watch and talk. Great place very friendly and they are good at what they do. Wouldn’t go to any other place.

Went in today with an idea in my head of a tattoo my husband and I wanted for our 4 year anniversary… Audra was busy with a client but still talked to us and answered all the questions we had… since that was the first place we stopped, we decided to check out a couple of other places that were close by(360 — HORRIBLESERVICEANDTRIEDTOCHARGEWAYTOOMUCH; Kandy Shop — packed and we werent willing to wait an hour just to ask questions, plus the $ 10 specials kind of scared us)…needless to say, we went back to The Crypt a few hours later and Audra drew up our tattoo and executed what I saw in my head… we both love our tats and will be going back soon for her to do a cover up on my back!(See pics)

Quick read: You can trust this place to do a great job. We have had excellent experiences here, followed by more excellent experiences, and followed by more from friends we’ve taken there. It’s way out of my way to go there, but it has become the place I trust most when I’m looking to get something done. The main thing that initially grabbed my attention about this place was the good setting — It’s a laid-back environment with ample waiting rooms, ecclectic art decorations, and generally comfortable feel(a stark contrast to the crappy neighborhood that it’s in). I’ve endured visits to other tattoo shops where the music is loud and obnoxious, and the setting is anything but comfortable, where you’re scared to sit anywhere, much less have someone poke you with a tattoo gun. At the Crypt, there are long couches with video games and movies to lounge and kill time while waiting for a friend to get their tattoos done. I first went here with girlfriend to get a certain kind of nose ring, and to our amazement, the owner referred us to another shop in Dallas because he thought they had a hotshot piercing guy who was more experienced with that certain kind of material. The kind of ownership that would send you and your dollars away simply because getting your piercing or tattoo perfect is their priority, is really cool in my book. Instead, the place in Dallas ended up being prima donnas, condescending, and rude, so we came back and asked him to do it, and he was wonderful. We are usually the types who bring our own art for tattoos, but the work in the artists’ portfolios look original and well-done. I recommend this place.

So glad I found this gem! Came in today as a walk in. Everyone was very professional and welcoming. Consulted with Paul on what I wanted to have done as tribute for my sister who passed away 7 years ago. I was initially nervous since its been 13 years since my last tattoo. He made me feel completely comfortable before, during, and after. I’ll definitely be back soon so he can touch up my other tat.
