This store used to be all the rage until we all realized they weren’t as healthy as they seemed, wayyyyy to many parabens in most of their products. But I used to shop here a lot for many years. So after a couple of years hiatus (I was hoping they would get their stuff together) I thought I’d come back and sniff around see what’s new and what’s changed. Tons of parabens still… CHECK! Very overpriced??? CHECK! Snooty rude sales people with a holier than thou attitude CHECK! Nothing changed. They haven’t adapted and will be irrelevant soon…

Just your average Body Shop. Everything is well presented, clean and the employees are great (which is becoming hard to find at Pentagon City). I had some problems with the Annapolis location (employees absolutely ruined my visit there and I refuse to go back in) so I was really happy to have a much different experience here. I got some excellent recommendations on a Sunday so came back a couple days later and really enjoyed myself as I shopped. Amazing deals going on right now too so stop reading this and get in there!

I’m a big fan of their products and miss the location at Tysons 1. But this location is good too — service is top notch that complements their range of products. The products are on the pricey side but its great when we get the Buy 3 and get 3 free deal!

Samantha is an absolute muñequita and she’s very patient! She can effectively stave off three big-​bodied bitchy blotchy bossy black government worker women that think they’re entitled to butt in and push others out of the way just so they can «get they word in» about assorted body butters. In Florida, we can women like this BMWs… Body Made Wrong! There are a lot of those in the DC area!
I must downgrade to three stars because of the heavy use of parabens in some of Body Shop’s products. Yes, some place say they’re okay, but there was also a time when people thought cigarettes were good for your health! Anyway… there are many paraben and chemical-​free products at The Body Shop, so all is not lost!
Ask for Samantha… she’ll help you out! And be nice to her!
