Handmade accesories: earrings, bangles, belts, purses, hair facinators, hijab pins, brooches, cuff links and bow ties as well as wall art and picture frames all cut from colorful tribal (African) fabric.

History

Established in 2011.

I have always been a creative and artistic person, though my passion for creating and my interests have grown and diversified throughout the years. When I was a young girl I tried doll dress making with paper, painting and knitting. After my undergrad my interest in sewing led me to a sewing school where I learnt the basics of dress making. Then I started getting bored with dress making and so, I tried purse making, accessories with fabrics and then jewelry making, hair fascinators with sinamay straw fabric. My interest in hijab pins grew since i wear the hijab. I made most of my clothes and accessories and people always asked «where did you get that from?» or say «that is very lovely» and from there Tee’s Designs was born!

For my designs I use African fabric, cotton, satin, laces, beads and pendants as well as various other components.

Business Owner

Tee’s designs is owned by a young entrepreneur who learned how to sew right after earning her BS in Microbiology. She has since added an MS in Biotechnology and works as a Medical technologist, but her passion for fashion and sewing lingers on leading to countless beautiful creations (just check her website! www​.tees​de​signs​.com). Hopefully one day she can make this her sole career :)
