I came here last night with a friend for the first time to get some of there happy hour rolls. I had the crunchy fish, and it was amazing. There was a roll I wasn’t to crazy for but I don’t remember the name. I also had the omg roll our waitress recommended and it was OUTOFTHISWORLD. Seriously if you come here try it, you won’t stop ordering more. My friend ordered some more stuff that I tried, and that was good too, fish is really fresh. Yellowtail was to die for. service. I actually read alot of reviews before I headed out here just to see what’s good and stuff. I saw some reviews about bad service. I’m usually someone who doesn’t care for being cared by a waitress who looks like she hates her job. But last night I didn’t experience any of that. Our waitress was really nice, attentive and she gave us her honest opinion on things when I asked about them. She didn’t give me that oh everything is good here crap. Is was really busy, alot busier than I expected, poor girl was sweating but she was good. Some thing I would probably change are maybe the lighting, it gave it a cool aroma but I really couldn’t see the words on the menu, and then the menus had a funky smell, at first I thought it was the pillows I was sitting on or the pillows behind my back, or maybe it was coming from outside cause I sat in the corner of the restaurant, right by the door, but then I opened the menus and got a whiff. But that was pretty much it. I tried to give a full review, I hope it helps, my friend told me the firecracker is really good too and I like fried stuff(the Texan in me) so she told me to try the border roll. I havnt found a sushi spot yet, I’m hoping this is the one! All and all I will definitely come back to try some of the rolls this place has to offer. Great service, great food.

This is a fantastic restaurant for a quick lunch with friends or a night out with loved ones. The food is fresh and the atmosphere is relaxing and nice. The sushi is wonderful! I’ve tried many of the hot dishes and found them all to be above any other places in the area. This is a gem tucked away. I’m so glad I gave them a try. I have been back many times and will be again. Just a great place for good food!

When I visit Arlington, the best place to eat sushi is at Domo’s. You can’t beat the customer service and most of all the food. Best sushi in all of Arlington and if you don’t believe me go check it out. After you finish eating you will stuffed and very happy you chose Domo. Happy Hour is on Monday’s and Thursday’s starting at 6:00 pm.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of being loyal Sushi Domo customers since the restaurant first opened its doors. We are made to feel like family there which is a rare thing in this day and time. The food is absolutely wonderful! The owner — Ryan — is both a chef and an artiste of unrivaled talent. We have never had one bad experience here, either with bad food or poor customer service. We love it so much until it has now become a lunch staple of mine; with my being at work during this time, on a weekly basis, my husband faithfully goes to pick up my sushi roll order from Sushi Domo and bring it to me at work(yes, I know I am spoiled: P; He is a good guy!). Thank you, Ryan and the Sushi Domo staff, for many wonderful dining experiences and many memorable meals.

I’ve been here for happy hour, lunch, and dinner. Happy hour is 6:00PM to close Monday and Thursday. They offer some rolls for $ 4, which aren’t advertised so I’ll tell you — Monday’s rolls include Duong, spicy salmon, and Captain Jack, and Thursday’s rolls include Crunch white, cali, shrimp tempura, and spider. I usually go for the shrimp tempura, California(pretty good for a Cali roll), and spicy salmon. While I don’t think it’s the best quality sushi, it’s a cheap sushi fix. During lunch, they have 2 rolls for $ 7 and 3 rolls for $ 12, so you’re getting a better deal for 2 rolls. For dinner, I only order things never discounted. I’ve had the OMG roll, Bentley, volcano, naked, snow white, and bake salmon. All I would probably reorder, except the naked roll. We asked for something raw, but we didn’t know it came in rice paper. The slices were just too big for one bite, and I CHOKED(hard) on the chewy rice paper. I had to pick out the ingredients individually to eat it, so as a whole, I don’t think it worked well. The poor hosts have to wear short ass tight black dresses, and the restaurant feels like an ice box. I can see your goosebumps even in this cave lighting. Mehh, just an okay place — slightly above average. We come back because of the price.

I was craving sushi so bad and since piranhas went down on the quality and service and I didn’t fee like driving 37 min to my other sushi spot, so I decided to come here. I been here plenty of times before since its about 2 minutes from home. Well bad idea. Place was busy but had plenty of room for us to enjoy dinner. My wife and I always like to sit in on a booth when possible. As we walked in they wanted to sit us on a table and we ask if we can have a booth. They hit us with the well… We asked again we rather sit on a booth and they were 3 open at the restaurant. Again they told us well… I reply well what? We got told well it looks like we are about to get busy and the booths are for 4 or more people. As we look around and all the booths were taken by parties of 2. One thing I hate is bad customer service, I can’t stand it. The food is good at this place but sorry Domo you just lost my business forever. We might get busy? It’s not like I asked to sit at a 6 or 8 top all I asked was for a booth for my wife and I. Oh well guess next time we will take the drive.

I just remembered why I stopped spending my hard earned money here. When they first opened I always had great service. Yes, they are on the high end compared to other spots in Arlington, but I felt like the quality of the food and service was well worth it. Until just now, when a rude hostess told me I could not have a booth because they were going to get busy. Mind you, there were 3 empty booths and all the others had 2 people at them– the same size as my party. Now, I could partly understand if she was going to seat me at a 2 top– but she took us to a 4 top– the same size as the booths. When I asked her why we couldn’t have a booth as I requested she told be because they were going to get busy soon so she had to put me at a table. I protested, saying that all the other booths were full of 2 people. She huffed and said«I guess». Nope, not having it. I told her nevermind and we came next door to Bamboo, where we are always treated like family and they let us sit anywhere we want, because we are paying customers. Granted, Domo thinks they are super fancy, and I just got off work, so I have on scrubs and sandals cause I just had to let my feet rest– so maybe I wasn’t dressed appropriately– but come on. I’ll drive to FTW before I ever eat here again.

We have hopped around sushi restaurants before since moving to Arlington and for awhile we had settled on Sushi Café on Cooper. We came to Sushi Domo on a lark while out running errands. What started as a quick try out became our new sushi place. Sushi Domo has a food quality such that you can feel the pride of the chefs in each piece of nigiri and every crunch of the calamari. The tamago melts in your mouth and the meat shreds in such a juicy manner that the best way to describe the feeling afterwards is euphoric. Accenting the food is an excellent, almost intimate décor and superb service from the wait staff. A fine locale for a calming lunch or an intimate date, Sushi Domo has successfully kidnapped me from my old sushi haunt. Sorry, Sushi Café.

So I dropped in today on a whim and I’m glad I did. As soon as I walked in I was struck by the atmosphere, it was dimmer and had a super cozy vibe to it. Perfect spot for conversation and drinks. Our server Lena I think was great and recommended a great drink so kudos for that. We ended up with the kronic doom roll, shrimp fried rice, the green tea fried ice cream, hot green tea and hot yummy sake. The roll was tasty and fresh as was the fried rice. I wasn’t a fan of the fried ice cream but that’s only my taste. Our drinks were never empty nor our table dirty and we enjoyed every minute we were there. I’ll be there again alone or with a group.

Good food. Mediocre service. Horrible business practices. Restaurant states closing hours of 10:30 tonight. We came in at 9:25. At 9:55 our waitress asked what else we may like because the kitchens closes soon(are we in a bar?). At 10:20 they started pouring bleach on the floor so strong we had to leave. Change your hours or closing procedures

Best Sushi. We love sushi and we love SUSHIDOMO. This restaurant is soooo cute with a nice intimate environment. You feel comfortable there whether you’re casual or dressed up. We had great service. The wait staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The food is amazing. We shared the shrimp tempura appetizer, the chicken teriyaki, the volcano roll, the«oh my god» roll, the firecracker roll, and the fried green tea ice cream. They were all so fresh, delicious and hearty. Pretty good portions — we never leave there hungry. My only crituque is that there are too many great choices. But it works out well because I can try something new everytime I visit. If you are looking for a Sushi spot that is fresh and affordable with great service then you should go to Sushi Domo.

I’ve been here multiple times. I tried a lot of rolls. I can’t decide what my favorite is, it really depends on my mood. I love raw then I love fried. I love the appetizer squid salad. On point! When I feel like being healthy I get the sashimi salad. I definitely recommend this so refreshing, light, but fulfilling. Ryan the sushi chef is awesome, if you want anything modified like me. I like everything spicy, he happily does it! Every server has been awesome and helpful!

Friendly staff, amazing sashimi with great ambiance. Took my fiancé here for a birthday dinner after a recommendation from a client. I hesitated at first seeing many negative reviews about their service but they had great reviews about their food so we decided to try them out. Everything was perfect from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. The staff greeted us immediately and sat us. After our meal the owner even gave my fiancé a birthday shot and birthday mochi dessert. Our server was very attentive and our food was fantastic. If you go here, you must try there Hamachi sushi roll, sashimi platter and the quail eggs shooter(not on the menu.) My fiancé couldn’t stop raving about their food and services. We will definitely be back.

Came here yesterday around 7:00 pm on a rainy day. There were only 5 tables being served so there wasn’t much of a wait to get seated or served. The waitress we had was very friendly and came frequently to check up on my boyfriend and I. We ordered the: snow white roll, geisha roll, dancing eel and 4 pieces of salmon nigiri. The nigiri is $ 4.95 for two pieces, the portion of salmon is quite large and it tasted okay. As for the dancing eel it was very scrumptious but the dish was drenched in a lot of crunchy flakes. The snow white roll I wasn’t too much of a fan mainly because the dollop of sriracha didn’t go well with it and the white tuna tasted funny. I didn’t try the geisha roll so I can’t judge how it tasted. However, I will give all the dishes 5 stars for presentation. In conclusion, I’ve been to better places and it was nice giving this place a shot. I came here once when it was fully packed but honestly; I don’t see the hype.

We decided to come here on Wednesday night. As soon as we walked in, I instantly noticed the place was very dark. It could use maybe better lighting? Our waitress was very sweet and nice. We ordered the spicy edamame — I’ll stick to the sea salt next time, chirashi bowl — really good and fresh!, and the duong roll — tasty and crunchy if you love salmon. Overall this place was just average. Nothing really sets it apart from other sushi places

YEEEES, great sushi for a great price! I’m a sushi fanatic, so I’ve had my fair share, and this restaurant is in one of my top 5. We came during happy hour and took advantage of their $ 4 rolls. We got 2 orders each of the Spicy Salmon, Captain Jack, and Duong Roll. Uhm, wow! Each one was equally flavorful. My favorite was definitely the Duong roll. It was crunchy and moist at the same time. It was a punch in your mouth, full of flavor! Captain Jack was also good! My least favorite of the three was the Spicy Salmon just because it wasn’t anything special. The atmosphere was calming and the servers were good. Good food, good company, good service, what more could you ask for? Come one come all!

Décor: 4⁄5 –Dimmed lighting which helps set the mood –Sushi bar is right in the center –Plenty of seating with tables that can comfortably seat 6 adults Service: 4⁄5 –Great service Food: 2.5÷5 –Domo Tower can either be prepared by yourself or the server. I had the server prepare it. The presentation was a cylindrical tower with different layers and sauce at the bottom. A tasty dish yet a bit too generous with the sauce. Even splitting this with another person, two signature rolls was too much. –Volcano Roll is served next to a flame that burns out in less than a minute. Our server warned us to move the dish onto another plate and not to eat anything that falls onto the original plate. Overall a tasty yet heavy roll.

It used to be so much better 4 years ago. Not sure what’s happened. We visited this past week & though there weren’t many other diners, the hostess asked into sit at the bar. Weird, but ok. Sitting at the bar basically sucks. It means waitresses constantly reaching over your head with their armpits in your face to fetch food & refill the beer of the guy cooking the food behind the counter(who plates things you eat with his bare hands, by the way). Our waitress was abrupt & clearly not interested. The food was just ok. Husband had 2 different plates of sushi & something else, gyoza, & edamame. I had the teriyaki chicken. Just not as good as it has been in the past. Since we are moving to California we won’t be back anyway. Oh, and they ran out of plum wine. Really? Just go down the street to literally any liquor store or even a Kroger & get some. In fact, I take away 1 star for that.

First off, I’m disappointed that I only just came across Sushi Domo for the first time today and it’s been here in Arlington for eight years. I loved the atmosphere, it was dimly lit and had a very casual vibe, yet still extremely classy. I sat at the sushi bar and met Ryan, the owner and head sushi chef, who was very personable. It was readily apparent that he’s passionate about what he does and it shows in the quality of the fish and the the attention to detail he puts into his creations. The lunch Nigiri plate I ordered was extremely fresh and easily a good representation of what I feel like will become a new favorite sushi spot. Looking forward to many more meals here. Do yourself a favor and try out Sushi Domo, you won’t regret it!
