What a great service experience. Fast, good work and very reasonable.

I cannot comment on the quality of Sure Fit’s work, because due to an unreasonably rude receptionist I was unable to make it past an initial phone call. I’m looking to update the interior of my ’94 Wrangler with brand new seats & carpet. I’ve spent hours shopping online & off for full seats with the brackets & one-​piece carpets. I’ve spent hours working on my car, I know it inside & out & I know what I need to fix it. I’ve found what I’ve been looking for online without any problem, but wanted to consider a custom interior as well. So I did a quick google search & Sure Fit popped up. I called them this morning just to ask a few questions, & the conversation that ensued left me stunned.
After a five minute hold, a woman who did not identify herself picked up the phone & asked me what my «problem was». I began to explain that I wanted to update my 20 year old car with a new interior, mentioning that I wanted new seats (foam, upholstery, brackets) but before I could mention carpeting this woman interrupted me & — I kid you not — began yelling at me that I «needed to go to a junk yard», because «no-​body makes full seats». I politely corrected her that yes, I can buy fully assembled seats & asked for clarification as to whether or not Sure Fit could provide that service. Her response: «You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about. You are clearly misinformed, we only do upholstery. Go dig around a junkyard, honey. Nobody does full seats. Besides, why do you want to replace them anyways? That doesn’t make any sense.» At this point, I was completely shocked to have a sales representative regard a potential customer in such a manner. I interjected & asked her to stop yelling at me, trying to move the conversation over to carpeting & how it’s a 20 year old vehicle, so obviously some updates are needed. Again, she cut me off — repeated that I don’t know what I’m talking about, said that it’s a «waste of time» to fix up «an old, beat up car» & HUNG UP on me. I will never consider using this place in the future, because whoever mans the phones is not only ignorant & misinformed, she’ll verbally assault you & insult you until she decides that the call is over. Unbelievable.

My sunroof was broken and I was bracing myself for what could have been an extremely expensive & lengthy fix (it was an after-​market sunroof) if parts needed to be ordered. I called and they were very friendly over the phone, encouraging me to come in as soon as I could and that they would take a look.
Jermaine helped me when I got there, explained a couple ideas he had of what might be wrong with the sunroof, and told me he’d call me once they’d diagnosed the issue. He also gave me possible high and low prices so I could brace myself. Later that day he called & confirmed it would be a cheap-​ish fix and my car would be ready the next day! He was very professional, and I was SO thankful this was where I brought in my car. A speedy 10 – 15 minutes of my time there and leaving it for a day was all it took.

Been dealing with Sure Fit for a while now for all my automotive interior needs, they have done great work at a reasonable price every time. The most recent experience with them was retrofitting Heated Seats into a toyota corolla, work was done on time as promised and was a great installation, they even put the aftermarket controls in a place on center console so it looked as close to factory as possible. Thanks!

My 2007 Toyota Solara developed a major rain leak into the trunk. My Toyota service rep recommended Sure Fit and they did a fantastic job replacing my convertible top. Work was done on time, at the price they quoted me, and very professionally. My car looks like new.

My Dad’s 1996 Mercury Marquis had a bad leak in the sun roof. A dealer told me they wouldn’t touch it as it was an after market sunroof. They referred me to Sure Fit. They fixed it in a day and a half… replacing the sunroof and header as the whole thing was rusted and non functional. The car has a low mileage and runs great so I spent $ 1250 to get it done… They are efficient and I haven’t had any leakage in the rain… and I love having a working sunrook… Thanks, JJ

I’d first like to state that this is my first internet review on any company or service. I was prompted and compelled to write this review out of shear frustration.
Jermaine Hamlin was the manager of Sure-​fit and the guy that worked on my car at Sure-​fit. Sure Fit is located in Clarendon and they specialize in car interiors. I had a few things done by Jermaine to my car which included; satellite radio, high intensity headlights and leather interior. Beware of hiring Jermaine to do any auto work on your car. If something goes wrong with any part of the installation it will become ridiculously difficult to get a hold of Jermaine. Jermaine attempted to install aftermarket headlights in my car, but after about six attempts and many hours of my time wasted, the headlights still do not work. So now I have been driving around with one working headlight for over 3 months. I guess in Jermaine’s mind its better to make a quick buck then to back up the quality of his work.
Since Jermaine has not been able to fix his poor workmanship, he has apparently decided to ignore all my calls and messages. This guy is a complete amateur, but not only that, he does not back up his work. It is not the consumer’s problem when a product does not function correctly. Jermaine should have fixed my headlights or restored them to their factory settings. Now I am out hundreds of dollars and I have to hire someone else to fix my car. Don’t hire Jermaine from Sure-​fit unless you want a lot of frustration. It’s worth a few extra bucks to take your car to a reputable shop.

The headliner in my Mazda 6 was starting to peel away from the ceiling and droop. Not good since I’d like to sell my car and appearance matters. I called the Mazda dealer down the road and they said they send all their upholstery work to Sure Fit. Good enough for me.
I scheduled to drop my car off on a Monday and pick it up the next day after work. Since I take Metro, having it done in a day wasn’t an issue, although I believe it can be done. I arranged to pick the car up after hours, and was very pleased with the quality of the headliner replacement. The fabric color matches the rest of the interior exactly, and looks like it’s brand new. At $ 350 + tax, I was more than happy with the cost since the work was done very well. I hope I don’t have to use Sure Fit’s service again, but I will definitely return if I do.

Like Nevra L. they kept my car overnight without calling to tell me they were keeping it. I called at 5 pm as I winding down my day, only to find they were closed. Had to take the Metro home. So we are off to a bad start… what kind of customer service is that? I took my car in to have a satellite radio installed. I bought all the parts, only thing I needed was the satellite tuner… around 120 bucks at Best Buy. Germaine, the employee who helped me, looked at me like I was from outer space, telling me oh no, it’s not that simple. Long story short, he came back with a quote for NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Well I went on EBAY and bought the tuner for 100 dollars and installed it. WHAT A RIP OFF. STAY AWAY. Germaine gave me a quote, a figure he obviously pulled out of his butt for something I easily did in an hour. I was going to have my seats reupholstered but after dealing with that I’ll go elsewhere even if it means going to another state.

Called to inquire about redoing the headliner in my Land Rover. Had to explain several times what kind of car it was, after they kept suggesting that it was something different. The woman proceeded to yell at me over the phone about why its different than I said it was (?), baffled… Will go somewhere else.

The soft top on my Mercedes convertible started leaking, so I took it to American Service Center. The car is only 4.5 yrs old, but they told me that I need to replace the rubber seals and that it would cost ~$ 850. Then I did my homework and found out about Sure Fit, which is who ASC uses for all their seal and interior work. Sure Fit told me that it’s way too early to have to replace the seals, they’re fine, but that they just need to be cleaned (leaves & dirt were stuck in there). They did it in just a few hours and charged me $ 150.
Unfortunately the solution didn’t last long. Top started leaking again a few weeks later. I took it back and they said they need to keep the car for a day and run some tests, and that the inspection would cost me $ 45. So I brought it back one morning at 9am. They said they’d call me, but never did. 5:00 rolled around and so I called them to find out what’s going on. Message said they’re already closed. I feel it’s totally unacceptable to keep a customer’s car overnight without discussing it with them.
This time, they said that the the gasket between front and rear driver’s window needed to be replaced: $ 250. After it was done, then there’s still a small leak (actually when I picked up the car, it was raining out, and there was a drop of water hanging off the ceiling inside the car. But it seems to be must less than before. The other thing is that the door doesn’t close very well now. I usually have to slam it and sometimes try twice.

There’s not quite a precise Unilocal category for Sure-​Fit — they do auto upholstery and carpeting — a service that I suspect some folks didn’t even realize existed.
If your car came with cloth seats, Sure-​Fit can substitute leather, for a whole lot less than most dealers charge. If your cloth seats are dirty or torn, they’ll fix them better than new. If you’d like heated seats, they’ll install heaters in your existing seats or cover them with leather first. Carpet all worn out, or stained by kids or pets or fast food? No problem, Sure-​Fit can replace it.
And all their work looks like it came straight from the factory. No cheap seatcover look, no ratty carpet, no non-​matching headliners, no ugly switches installed in the wrong places.
We’ve been going there for almost 20 years now, ever since my lovely wife’s 1989 Olds Cutlass Supreme (known affectionately as The Rocket Car) had trouble with its 36-​way power/​pneumatic/​leather seats. The dealer didn’t even fool with them — they just sent us straight to Sure-​Fit and picked up the tab.
And just this week, I went in to have a seat heater fixed. Dropped my SUV off at 8:30, and by noon they’d replaced the entire unit and sent it back to the factory for warranty replacement. No charge!
And don’t be put off by the tacky cinder-​block building they’re in. That’s how they keep prices low.
