This was a great place to go. The meats are amazing. There’s a girl that comes around with hot rolls that are amazing.

This isn’t going to my top pick for BBQ in Texas. But, when I’m in Arlington this is the place I go with my cousin Janet when I’m in town. It’s pretty solid and I like the buffet style where you run the line and pick out the meat, some vegetables and drink. Reminds me of being a kid in Fort Worth and going to Luby’s cafeteria. I like the brisket and you get a large portion where you can take home ½ your meat for a second meal the next day. I like the cole slaw and the green beans too. I always want to eat me a jalapeño as they are fresh and crisp; but way hot for me. Of course, you have to eat 2 – 3 of the yeast raised fresh rolls they bake as they are really good and a meal in themselves.

Can never go wrong with rib plate or half chicken but you gotta get that special sauce! I get it. It’s a chain. And it’s Texas. And I shouldn’t combine the two. But my in-laws love this place. And I like barbecue but especially free barbecue. If you go here expecting top 5, then that’s on you. But if you go here expecting good hot barbecue, they always deliver. Ribs are always juicy and never chewy. Chicken always cooked just right. And you can’t go wrong with sweet tea, hod yeast rolls and fried okra. Always a table in Sunday nights.

Terrible customer service. I came here with the wife and kids for a weekday dinner. The place is very packed. We come to order and I order the two meat plate and move forward in line. My wife orders a sandwich after and the line keeps moving along. Her food comes up first and I wait for mine. I ask one of the teenagers working there about my food and they weren’t sure what to do. I move along cause the line is moving and there are more than a dozen people behind us. I don’t get anything and the meal is still expensive. The cashier was pretty rude herself, also a teenager. Hire less teenagers and teach better service then I might come back.

The BBQ is tasty but it’s overpriced in my opinion if you really search hard you can find some Awesome BBS. This is a chain restaurant so I’m not surprised at all.

Spring Creek has always been a great alternative to my favorite barbecue, because they are open on Sundays. They delivery hot dinner rolls to your table from a basket and they are excellent. The meat and sides are excellent and my parents always forget how good they are when I visit Arlington and request that we go there on a Sunday or Monday. The premium sides are mostly fried, however the home-style sides are excellent! They have a bakery/dessert counter with cobbler, ice cream and where they bake their dinner rolls. This is a must visit!

I went to dinner at what used to be my favorite BBQ restaurant and the food was horrid. I’ve been going to this restaurant since it first opened for business in Arlington and this is the first time I was unable to eat the food due to the quality being so poor. The brisket was very fatty — as in more fat than meat. The coleslaw was dry with almost no sauce on it. The potato salad was less flavorful. It could have used more relish and mustard or perhaps better quality relish and mustard the kind with flavor. The pepper sausage was okay but nothing to write home about. There is a different BBQ chain with a spicy cheddar sausage that is far better. They didn’t even have bottles of Big Red on ice. The only item that I ate that was still good were the fresh out of the oven rolls. Looks like I need to find a new BBQ favorite. I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to Spring Creek as the food was that disappointing.

Fresh bread offered every ten to twenty minutes. I can never keep count but I think I said yes to three rounds of bread and rejected like two. I ate the brisket and the peppered sausage dinner. I kind of regret getting the sausage not because it tasted bad, but because I normally don’t like them unless I crave them. All the sides were good, but for some reason the green beans were my favorite. That’s a recent addition to my new taste buds because I normally don’t like southern cooking styles of some vegetables. The young group of staff were very friendly and polite. I’ve been to Spring Creek once before and I don’t remember a friendlier group of people other than these ones.

Came here for lunch the other day, the place was pretty quite. Got a brisket plate with fries and fried okra. The brisket was good, I like the BBQ sauce. I didn’t really understand the vegetable situation. Because of our fries and okra, I don’t think we were allowed potato salad, Mac and cheese etc… The bread rolls though are good! A little bit pricey for a chain.

The BBQ is legit! The sauces are square on Texas tastes! And the unlimited veggies are awesome!(Though you have to ask for a plate and walk against the flow of traffic to get more veggies). The management is terrific, and the staff is courteous and friendly. The rolls will make you crave more and more! The cobbler and cream is sweet and delicious! Now get on your horse, or whatever transportation you may be riding on, and scoot over to a location and chow down on some sweet BBQ! I recommend the ribs, or sausage, or brisket, or chicken, or ham! It’s all good! Ask for Keith, he is one of the best managers I’ve ever had the privilege of watching manage a restaurant! Enjoy!

Ok! This review has been a long time coming, and I am taking it very seriously. First, I must say I love BBQ enough to own a smoker, cut and season my own oak and mesquite, and my favorite leisure reading at the moment is «The Prophets of Smoked Meet» by Danial Vaughn, aka the BBQ Snob. With that: Spring Creek BBQ is a legitimate BBQ joint. By that, I mean they serve authentic Texas BBQ, by which I mean there is a smoker on the premises(though I have not seen it yet), and it is used to cook Brisket low and slow, among other meats. The wood used is most likely Hickory or Pecan, since that is what they stack next to the front entrance. I am personally very fond of using both, and would do so about half the time if I had a good source. Enough background already. 1. Brisket — pretty darn good, considering this is a chain. It is tender, a bit dry, and has a good smoke ring with a fair amount of smoky flavor. I do not recommend adding sauce, because you will miss out on the good hickory flavor, which is not strong enough to shine through the sauce. 2. Beef ribs — I remember them being very juicy and tasty, but somewhat chewy, although it has been a long time. Will update this when I try them again. 3. Pork sausage — slightly below mediocre, but is improved by the sauce. The texture is reminiscent of a hot dog. I know that’s not a compliment, but I’ll just say it’s like a really good hot dog. 4. Sides — Coleslaw is quite good. Fresh rolls are a highlight of the entire experience. Other sides are OK, but unspectacular. I will be updating my reviews as I try more items. The bottom line: this is the most legitimate BBQ chain I am aware of in Texas, and hence the world, so a must-visit establishment… even for BBQ snobs. Hopefully this helps other BBQ snobs and the like to make an informed decision.

Spring Creek is awesome. They offer a variety of BBQ staples and the warm, buttery bread that appears at your table every 5 – 10 minutes is wonderful. My personal favorite is the sausage plate with a side of veggies(I usually spring for potato salad). While Spring Creek is not the best BBQ I’ve ever tasted, I like Spring Creek because they are incredibly nice and really invested in the community.

Today for lunch, my coworkers and I called in an order to the Spring Creek located in Arlington, TX. We placed two separate orders and mine was a Pork Sandwich Plate. When my coworker got back with the food, I realized I was given the Pork Dinner Plate instead of the Sandwich plate, which is NOT a huge deal. However, when I called to bring it to the manager’s attention I feel like the issue was brushed off in a very rude manner. I informed him of the mix up and his response was to tell me that«The two plates are the same price and there is more food on the dinner plate anyways.» When I commented that I’m not worried about the price OR the amount but about the fact that I didn’t get the meal that I ordered, his response was«I’m sorry that you didn’t get your sandwich, but they are the same price and the dinner plate comes with more food anyways so it is a better value.» I work in the customer service field and deal with upset customers on a daily basis. I feel as though brushing the mix up off because of the amount of food or the price is ridiculous and unprofessional. This matter could have been easily resolved if he had offered to fix me the correct meal or even offered sincere condolences without his justifications. As a first time Spring Creek customer, it definitely left me with no desire to visit again anytime soon.

The way this place is set up is reminiscent of a school cafeteria. You choose your meat, slide your tray down while picking up whatever sides you want, then pay at the end of the line. Every once in a while a person goes around the dining area with a basket of fresh, hot rolls. While the BBQ and sides aren’t all-you-can-eat, the bread is! I got the pulled pork which was smoky and tender. I tried the chicken from my friend, which wasn’t bad, but could have been better. It was a bit chewy. All in all, great casual BBQ joint.

Let me preface by saying we only cheated on our local favorite, Big D, because our kiddo got a gift card from school for some achievement or other.(Sorry, Big D, I will see you soon, you’re still #1 in my bbq heart!) Spring Creek is, of course, a chain, so there’s really an upper level on how good it can be. With that in mind, it wasn’t bad. Things I particularly liked were the cole slaw, the rolls, and the BBQ sauce. The ribs were decent but not as tender as I like. The ribs at Bone Daddy’s are actually a little better I think. Definitely Big D’s ribs are better. I stole a few of my kid’s french fries(well, technically he was done with them so I finished them off) and those were pretty good. We had a looooong wait for the fries to arrive but the gentleman who brought them was so apologetic about the wait that he got us a second order. Green beans are standard italian beans, they’re good enough for me but I particularly like green beans in general. The mac & cheese is tasty, but not a gourmet mac & cheese at all. Pricewise, it’s expensive when you compare it to a top notch joint like Big D and realize you actually pay 3.50 more for a rib plate here, and the food, while decent and certainly edible, isn’t anything particularly special. I’m glad we had the gift card or it would have been a nearly $ 50 meal for 3 people. In sum, I won’t say no if folks want to go but it’s worth driving the extra 20 minutes to Mansfield instead.

I went here last summer when my boyfriend’s family surprised him all the way from Michigan. They drove ALL the way here, straight through. crazy if I do say so myself. But one thing they wanted was some BBQ, and this place was close and good. We went during the 4th of July time frame so there were extremely long lines, coming out the front of the door, we had no choice so we had to wait. We got to the front of the line bout 25 minutes later. It was like a long lunch line you would think about when you were back in elementary school. You picked the meats you liked, and sides. I got the Pulled Pork sandwich, as always and it was pretty decent. Everyone else got Ribs, and other meats they enjoyed them as well.

Very good BBQ. I love the brisket. They include all the sides you want to eat in the price of the plate. The sides are green beans, corn beans, mac and cheese, coleslaw, pickles, and, jalapenos. They are all very tasty. And don’t forget about the rolls. They have the all time best rolls. They will bring more rolls buy your table fresh out of the oven. I have had the ribs in the past and they are very good as well. The place is busy on weekends they line up to the door. But the line goes at a good pace. And it will not take long to get your food. I have been to plenty of BBQ places and this is one of my all time favorites. And the best rolls.
