I’ve been a patient since 2012(?) I think. So before the new owner transitions from Dr. Saleh to Dr. Han.
While I was fine with how things were before, now it’s actually GREAT.
All the good stuff carried over with the transition. The space is still super clean, the administrative team is great, online appointment booking is still in effect, flexible appointment scheduling and reminders, and full summary printouts post-​visit.
The new dental assistants and doctors are where I see the real difference. Everyone is really upbeat, friendly, and professional. You can feel the difference in the atmosphere.
Not that the prior team was awful, everyone just seems really happy now. It’s that difference when someone says hello and asks you how you are just because versus someone who means it.
And I hate anything mouth/​teeth related. I can’t watch movies, I hate imagining injuries, I’ve had nightmares about teeth. Only in the last 5 years have I really committed to regular visits.
I thought I was going to vomit/​pass out during my wisdom teeth removal (YES, I KNOW IT’S LATE AND I’M OLD). I was shaking the entire time and internally I was in shambles.
Dr. Han was so patient and reassured me that I wasn’t gushing blood and guts everywhere.
His assistant (I need to get her name) was so nice and offered to hold my hand, I declined based on the fact that I would’ve crushed her hand and at this point, my hands were clasped white-​knuckle, pushed into my stomach. I somehow believed that I had to keep myself «in» and compacted as much as possible or the world would end.
I should mention they offered me a blanket and was tucked in from head to toe because I thought I was dying .
I’m sorry I was so difficult.

I was a patient of Dr. Saleh’s but was informed in August that she was on bed rest in Lebanon. That seemed very strange to me, but I didn’t want to pry since bed rest usually indicates something serious. I saw another dentist, whose name I don’t remember, who was very forceful. Sort of the stereotype of a bad dentist (in my opinion) where they try to frighten you into all sorts of services. Even after I explained to him that Dr. Saleh and I had discussed my issues and worked out a prioritized plan in order to maximize my insurance, he was still insistent.
I reached out again in November to ask if there was any sort of timeline for Dr. Saleh’s return and got zero response from the receptionist, who is usually super nice and attentive. On top of everything else, I’ve been researching the cost for some of the procedures I have had, and it looks as if Smile Designer is significantly more expensive than other dental providers in the area. I’ll be choosing another dentist.

Time for an update of the update. Dr. Saleh tried to call me from Lebanon the day after my last update, but unfortunately the connection was not one of the best. Nevertheless, we had an interesting exchange of emails, where she provided a clear and detailed explanation.
Needless to say, I truly appreciated her explanation and the apologies. I have been assured that they will inform their patients about the recent changes. This practice has always been extremely attentive, so I am very pleased about the outcome.
This does not excuse issues we have had with the new dentist (why doesn’t he take his mask off when speaking with patients? My wife can’t recall having a conversation with him without his mask). We look forward to having Dr. Saleh back in the office.

I’ve only ever had basic cleanings here, but they’ve always done a great job, never made me wait, and are completely lovely (front desk, hygenist, and dentist are all very friendly).
Plus, I love the little toothbrush travel pouch they give you– mini toothpaste costs AT LEAST $ 1.00 at CVS so I count that a total dentistry win.

I’ve been going to this place for the past three years and today was my last appointment. They’ve been my favorite dentists by far and I will miss them when I move. The office is clean and beautifully decorated. They are very responsive to online appointment requests and will email you to confirm and text you a reminder too.
While they usually run on time, they were about half an hour behind today. I was told their hygienist wasn’t feeling well and the dentist was doing all the cleaning himself. The exams are quite painless and gentle. You get a cute little toothbrush kit at the end.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I think this office may be okay for very light dental work like a cleaning or x-​rays but I wouldn’t come here for anything else. I had a crown replaced here (3 years ago) after a ten year old crown needed a replacement. I went here because I was living close by and there were a few good reviews. I started the process a month before I had to leave to another country. Here are my main issues: the 1^st attempt at the crown was so bright white it was obviously not going to look real except maybe in the mouth of a Barbie doll. The 2^nd attempt had the opposite coloring but same problem but I had to have it put on because I had to leave the next day to Argentina for two years. It obviously is not the right color for the rest of my teeth. It looks coffee stained and not made for someone who is in their 20’s. I would not recommend this place to anyone who needs a crown.

I think these guys are probably fine for a basic cleaning. However, I just switched dentists due to insurance and it turns out a cavity that Smile Designer filled not two years ago was done poorly and was already starting to decay again, requiring me to get it fixed.
Also had some other issues with my teeth that came to light (severe teeth grinding wearing them down) that none of the dentists I saw at the office ever noticed or pointed out. They’re very nice but not the best.

I’ve been incredibly impressed with Smile Designer and Dr. Saleh. The office is always clean, the reception staff is friendly and helpful and appointment scheduling is easy. The dental care I’ve received has been top notch and I was pleased enough with my basic dental care to proceed with having dental bonding preformed to whiten my teeth. I’m so glad I did this procedure — I didn’t realize how bad my teeth looked before Dr. Saleh showed me the close up pictures of my old teeth. Now my teeth look natural and healthy. Assuming your dental insurance is accepted there’s no reason to go to another dentist (they even make parking easy by arranging with the Holiday Inn to allow patients to park there during appointments).

Doctor Fadi Saleh is an absolutely wonderful and professional orthodontist. We recently moved to the area from Germany where our kid started with her braces, and he’s the only orthodontist the family (mom, dad and our kid with braces) felt comfortable with after four different consultations! They even changed our daughter’s whole elastic chain thing on both upper and lower and gave her a new braces dental kit with the little brushes and all! Meanwhile, all four orthodontists that we met with before we found Dr. Saleh, were more concerned with payment, insurance coverage and signing disclosures! Additionally, his receptionist Olivia is a lovely person and so is the assistant (forgot her name). Overall, wonderful staff and experience.
Additionally, we went with the Orthodontist doctor Saleh recommended for our daughter’s case and we’re pretty happy. Thanks again.

I have been going to Smile Designer for about 2 and half years. The office is always clean and organized and the staff is always friendly. Easy to make appointments online and the office uses text, email, and phone to remind of you appointments, make them, or change them, which makes it super easy if you are always on the run like me! would definitely recommend!

Simply put, this place provided me with the best medical service I have ever received in my whole life. A little context: I HATE going to the dentist– and I have been to dentists across 3 continents, and all up and down the east coast. I came here to have a wisdom tooth extracted, and was so scared, I was shaking and sick to my stomach. I had heard dozens of horror stories about other people’s experiences with this procedure.
My experience: I arrived late. They still saw me right away. Front desk, the dental assistant (Shaneka), and the dentist (Dr. Lakkis) were all extremely pleasant. They basically babied me through the whole experience. I expected this to take an hour. Start to finish, it took Dr. Lakkis about 3 minutes. When she told me it was done, I asked to see the tooth, because I didn’t believe her– because I literally did not feel even a pinch of pain. And I was so scared, I held Shaneka’s hand and later realized I had squeezed it hard enough to leave nail marks :(She didn’t complain once.
Best of all, I paid $ 0 for the whole thing because a family member’s insurance had overpaid them for his last visit, and they let him use that extra credit to cover my procedure. I even got a goody bag when I left.
I’m still in disbelief. When I walked out, I was shaking and tearing up from the adrenaline rush. This place is so amazing, it’s ridiculous.

After posting this review, they went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of — which I really really appreciate. They pride themselves in customer service and I really do respect that. Be sure to check them out to experience it yourself. You will definitely be taken care of because they really to walk the talk of customer service. Great place!

This is my third time at Smile Designer. I saw the orthodontist today and I am really excited to start my Invisalign!!! This is the friendliest office with a family business atmosphere. The only con is that the parking is inconvenient. The receptionist gave me directions for their assigned spots in the garage. I will try it next time.

Went here for a few years as it was easy to get to from work. Never really cared for the place, and always felt «meh» about it. I guess this is what you get for going somewhere out of convenience. Finally I had a filling done, that ended up being a botched job, had to get a root canal and had a 2^nd opinion where they told me that the filling that was done at Smile Designer was «sloppy»… No longer a client of theirs, and now paying a LOT of my own money out of pocket to fix the «work» they did on my teeth. Do NOT go here… I never had problems with my teeth until I started coming to this place…

I LOVE this place! The dentists and staff are friendly and do an outstanding job! I drive from Maryland to go here! Excellent place.

Dr. Saleh and her staff at Smile Designer are truly a rare find these days. Not only do they provide an exceptional patient experience, but they also possess a level of integrity where they don’t push unnecessary treatments upon the patient. Ultimately, I have been going to Dr. Saleh for a few years now and I couldn’t be happier. Please do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment to see for yourself.

While the staff was friendly the office felt unprofessional and cheap. Ikea like plastic furnature, no coat rack, no water available while u wait. In the exam room everything from the chair to the cheesy ceiling painting felt low budget, i dont like feeling like i’m a discount dentist. The whole feel of the place makes me nervous to even have serious work done. To top things off the fire alarm went off 3 – 4 times during my cleaning. I’ll definately be checking out some different offices in the area for something that fits me better.

I had all four wisdom teeth removed yesterday — I won’t say it was fun or even a neutral experience, but the care, bedside manner, and actual extraction were excellent. For something as uncomfortable and unnerving as having four molars removed, I left the office with a confidence in my doctors that I think is rare. Dr. Lakkis took time to explain everything to me before, during, and after the procedure. She regularly asked about any pain, and I was completely aware that the appointment would go as I wanted, if that meant one, two, three, or four extractions. I’m glad it is over, and I’m really glad I chose to have Smile Designers do the procedure!

Where do I begin. I moved here back in 2007 and was in need of a new dentist. I did some research and came across a place very close to my house. It was Ballston Metro Dental, located in Arlington (Ballston). My Doctor was Dr. Saleh. She was the best! The cleaning part and the reception was okay, but Dr. Saleh really made me stick as a client.
So when I went for my regular 6 month cleaning, I was greeted by a new doctor. He ended up telling me I needed all of this work done. Long story short, Dr. Saleh left. I did a little bit of research and found her again.
She opened up her own practice located in Rossyln (Arlington) right next to the metro. All I can say is awesome customer service!!! She as well as her staff truly care and you will be well taken care of.
I did in fact need work on my teeth, but not as much as the last doctor had quoted. Dr. Saleh told me everything I needed, and was very reasonable in price.
To sum up everything she did an amazing job!!! I am so happy with my teeth. She replaced three crowns, and they look perfect! I will post some pictures up when I get a chance.
If you’re looking for a dentist that has everything from great service, great work and are true professionals look no further. Setup an appointment, you wont’ be disappointed.

Service was excellent from start to finish. Found this place on ZocDoc and would highly recommend. The dental technician was sweet and quick, Fred at the front desk was so friendly and efficient that I almost wanted to ask him to happy hour. I was lucky to see Dr. Fadi who gave a great explanation about the differences between invisalign and braces. He is only there on Wednesdays so I am glad he saw me for a consultation. The only negative thing I have to say is that I scheduled an appointment with a specific dentist through ZocDoc but wasn’t seen by her. I had researched her very well and wanted a specific person but the person who saw me was all right. Fred said it is best to make appointments directly through the office so that you are sure to get the person you want to see.
