Robert C Kent, DO

Like the other reviewers, I have been with Dr. Robert Kent for a long time. Over 12+ years! He takes the time to get to know his patients, and has never rushed me out. If I have concerns he addresses them and is very professional. As a teen I tried to go to Planned Parenthood a couple of times and never felt as comfortable as I do with Dr. Kent. Whether I’m sick or in need of women’s healthcare he is who I go to. He never tries to push any prescription medication on you, he gives you what is best and that’s it. I don’t have health insurance but his pricing is very reasonable and appointments are very easy to make. Also, I don’t believe he accepts insurance. Not sure if that has changed. I find same day appointments are possible if I call before 9−10am.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kent’s for more than 15 years. I find that he is an excellent doctor. He has correctly diagnosed and treated my ailments over the years. He always takes time to actually LISTEN to what is wrong with me (which I am certain enables the correct diagnosis). He routinely looks at my medical history to see if the problem that I am having is a recurring one and, if it is, to see what has worked previously. All of that would make him an above average doctor. What makes him an absolutely fabulous doctor? Availability. I can normally get in the same day that I call. Pricing. I started seeing him when I was uninsured and the pricing was reasonable. I have insurance now, and even though he does not accept insurance, it is worth the out of pocket price to continue to be treated by him. Excellent.

I feel compelled to write a review on Unilocal because there is an ugly review of Dr. Kent online when I looked up his phone number today. I have been a patient of Kent’s for at least 10 years and at first just happened to call his office because he was close to my home. The first time in his waiting room, I asked a lady who was waiting what she thought of the doctor and she said she drove in from out of town to see Kent and had been a patient for 7 years. Pretty impressive.
I have had quick, professional, and consistent service and would recommend him to anyone who needs a general practitioner. His office staff will book you the day you call, sometimes within 45 minutes! Kent doesn’t accept insurance or medicare, which probably is why he can work more efficiently. As a self-​employed person who rarely visits the doctor, I only call every couple of years when I am on the verge of death and he never fails me!
