Stay away from the place, terrible customer service. I know about Guatemalan food but this place is just not good.

Was heading for Ravi Kabob, but wanted a change of pace so ducked into this little Guatemalan restaurant. Pretty extensive menu, and a nice change from the omnipresent Salvadoran and«Mexican. run by Salvadorans» restaurants in the area. I ended up getting a combined plate with the following: –Guatemalan enchilada(fried tortilla topped with pickled green beans, beets, cabbage, and hard-boiled egg) –Tamale(called by some other name, but basically a slightly spicy cylindrical chicken tamale) — Mixta(a tortilla folded around a hot-dog that’s been sliced down the middle to insert a wedge of avocado, topped with mayo and ketchup, kind of like what some Chilean restaurants serve) Overall pretty tasty, though all vaguely unfamiliar variants on semi-familiar Latin American chow. They also had some neat stuff on the menu I might order next time, especially«garnachas»(little discs of tortilla topped with ground beef, parmesan, and jalapeño). The place was tiny and slightly scruffy though not sketchy; basic ethnic family-run joint. Bonus points for stocking both beer and real sugar Mexican Coca Cola in glass bottles.
