My office had a holiday party in Ragtime’s back bar area. We’d requested room for the party about a week ahead of time, and management were quick to get back to us. I stopped in just before the party and ordered appetizers for our crowd. We ordered wings, nachos, crab dip, and crawfish bites. Everything was good, but the crawfish were perfect. I was also thrilled to find raw oysters on the menu! I didn’t ask where they were from, but they were fresh and salty… just the way they are supposed to be. Several people in our group ordered entrees and everyone liked what they received. While the food was good, the service and ambiance were what made the evening perfect. The back bar is a great place for a group and has a very English or Irish Pub feel to it. That said, this is definitely a New Orleans style restaurant. Along with Po Boys, crawfish, and oysters, you can get steaks, sandwiches, and salads. It’s the perfect neighborhood bar. Our server(I wish I could remember her name) was super friendly and on point. Nobody was wanting for anything throughout the evening… she was on top of it. A big thanks to Ragtime for letting us use their back room and providing great service and food. We will definitely be back!

One of my favorite bars to watch a game or catch up with friends. The bartenders are great and attentive. They have a great selection of craft beers and whiskeys. You’re not missing anything with the blonde brownie. Pass! GETTHEFUNNELFRIES! I don’t know why this isn’t a thing yet. They’ll change your life!

This place is not great food, but it’s good food at good prices. It’s casual and the service is always great. I go here often with friends, for social meals and just to grab dinner after work. I like that this place is not a typical Arlington spot in prices or vibe. If you’re looking for a nice spot, that isn’t too loud or pretentious, check this out.

I really enjoyed this spot for the price. The outdoor patio was kind of like sitting on your front porch as my brother said. It was a little respite. Although we sat outside I was surprised at the size of the place. It’s much bigger than I appears from the outside. The bathrooms were clean too. Always an important factor in a place that’s more like a bar than a restaurant. When I first arrived I felt the service a little slow, but the waiter warmed up to my brother and I and before long we we were getting great and attentive service. The platter of oysters was fantastic. I also enjoyed the clam bisque, but it wasnt quite hot. The fish and chips were quite good too. All in all, worth a visit if you are in the area.

I really am enjoying this bag of chips I’m having for lunch. I was going to have a burger, but after 50 minutes of waiting post order I had to leave because who has this long for lunch. Tell them to cancel and was a touch annoyed when the guy tells me «it’s busy». No kidding, it’s lunch. Happens everyday. One would think a restaurant plans for that.

Friendly service, good food, good beers. Sandwiches have been great, excellent tater tots. Their beer selection is diverse and delicious. Been here three times from out of town and had outstanding service every time. I enjoyed everything but I think the staff is the best part.

A group of 6 of us came here a few weeks ago on a random Tuesday night. Best service I have ever received and by far the best filet I have ever had! No joke! The place was empty since we were there eating around 8pm so that could be why but I was more than impressed with how attentive our waiter was! He stopped at nothing to appease us! Drinks were great, food was great, service was fantastic! I wish every server was as attentive as ours was that night! Keep it up!

I visit Ragtime on occasion during my lunch break, and the food always comes out quickly, is hot and well-prepared. They were not terribly crowded during my visits, and we were seated promptly. I’ve ordered a hamburger and chicken ‘sammies’ with fries from this restaurant and the food is always good. I haven’t tried their alcoholic drinks, being that I come here during lunch, but I’ll add it onto my list of Happy Hour places to try. Overall very nice experience here, will be back.

This place is a hidden gem in Courthouse. They have great seafood and regular American classics. We got the clams and they were delicious. I’ve been there both with groups and smaller parties and service was great.

3.5 from us. The drinks were 5 stars for $ 8.00 and we will definitely return to watch some football in the fall. We ordered popcorn crawfish and a hurricane and an orange blossom for drinks and appetizer and then the blackened catfish sandwich and fish tacos for our meals with sides of Mac and cheese and waffle fries. Popcorn crawfish was a nice serving size and tasty. Orange blossom was a drink with a st. Germaine base and orange flavoring, really strong and delicious. Also used one of those nice big single ice cubes that melts slowly so you’re not left with a watery mess after a few minutes. I highly recommend for $ 8.00 Hurricane was just what you’d expect. Fish tacos were spicey and would have been my favorite around if they would have had a corn tortilla. Mayonnaise based dressing and fried fish and a flour tortilla just seemed like overkill. I did love the fresh grilled corn and Pico. Blackened catfish sub was also spicey and good. The potato chips on the sandwich were a little misplaced. Brioche bun was OK, nothing too exciting but it was an appropriate amount of bread. Mac and cheese was standard but tasty enough. Waffle fries were ok but I was thrown off by lots of bruising in the potatoes, I even got a green one. Fries seem hard enough to goof up so they lost some points here. Waitress was and attentive and polite, even bringing us a sample of the sangria while we were deciding what drinks we wanted. She was five stars.

I can only review on the Saturday night drinking crowd and menu. We bellied up to the bar and were deciding on what to order. They had a pretty rad specialty cocktail menu that drew us right in. We were only there for a short time, but interacted with two bartenders that seemed to have better things to do. The drinks were strong, a little on the pricier side and overall tasty. Again, I was only there for about 40 minutes on a Saturday night, but as a traveler to the area, I don’t think I would go out of my way to swing back in Ragtime.

Always love coming to ragtime. I’ve lived around courthouse for 3 years now and if I need a good beer and wings it’s my go to spot. I also enjoy that it has a little more depth than a place like Whitlows. PS– get the Honey Siracha wings they are some of the best!

Ragtime is turning into my go-to neighborhood brunch spot. There hasn’t been a crowd yet, and the outdoor seating is lovely. I’ve had the chicken biscuits and the the blackened shrimp salad already. The chicken was lacking in flavor and texture, but the blackened shrimp salad was a 10. The shrimp had the perfect blackened flavor. The salad was light, just like I wanted. I ordered cocktails off the menu both times, which were delicious but overpriced. My boyfriend ordered the brunch unlimited waffles and omelette deal which was enough to get this place 4 stars on its own. Both the omelette and the waffle were cooked perfectly from scratch in front of you, and included delicious toppings. For this reason, we can’t wait to go back next week.

Ragtime is just okay. I come here a lot because it’s down the street from my office but that’s really the only reason. If it wasn’t convenient to get to I wouldn’t come here. There’s nothing wrong with the place, there’s just nothing great about it. I’ve always had good service and I’ve had a lot of things on the menu — jambalaya, salmon salad, a few of their burgers and several sandwiches and they’re all just okay, good at best. They do have a decent beer selection.

This place is owned by the same people who own Rhodeside Grill, which I prefer, but this place is pretty good. It’s basically like a sports bar, and the interior was nicer than I had expected. The drink menu was pretty big and the bartenders were quick to make them. There wasn’t a whole lot on the food menu that tickled my fancy, so I went boring and ordered the sliders, which were cooked well. I plan to come back here again, maybe for trivia, and explore more of the menu!

Came here with a friend after work to hang out at the bar and grab a small dinner. The location is amazing — close to DC and also the courthouse metro station. It’s street parking and I think it gets a little crazy on the weekends, but on a weekday night you should easily find parking within 2 or 3 blocks. I heard the buffalo chicken wrap was good, so I got that with waffle fries and french onion soup. My friend got a shrimp wrap with mac and cheese. BESTBUFFALOCHICKENWRAPEVER! It’s delicious and very flavorful. It’s generously stuffed with juicy chicken tender with buffalo sauce. The french onion soup is kind of «meh.» Nothing special about it, and kinda too salty for me. My friend did like the soup, so I guess it does appeal to some people. Service was okay. Although there were plenty of space in the bar area, the server seemed a little too eager to get us out of there. Tried to bring us boxes when we were only halfway through the meal, and gave us the check before we were done.

To be fair of only been to Ragtime a couple times. I was in good company so both my visits were very pleasant. If I can remember correctly they had nice happy hour specials. My friends enjoyed the brunch and the huge Mamosa’s. Me however, I was just there for the clam strips. Surprisingly the clam strips were awesome. Also from what I noticed the food looked actually pretty good. Ragtime is also conveniently located right next to the courthouse metro. So it’s an easy trip. This would also make for a great happy hour spot for those who are dependent on public transportation. Gotta avoid those DUIs folks. ;) The only downside about this place is it seemed to be kind of fratty. However it wasn’t as fratty as a lot of other places I had seen in Arlington. There is also a small outside patio. It’s wonderful to sit at the patio and enjoy a drink with your friends when the weather is nice. However since it’s in kind of an awkward place there won’t be a high number of passerby’s. If you’re in the area and want to chill place to catch the game give Ragtime a shot.

If you’re stuck with no car in the Arlington area, this is your best choice of food. I ordered the nachos to be safe, and they were fine. Subpar drinks and cocktails. Excellent service. It’s like a bar with a restaurant attached, with no frills. I’d recommend this place for football-watching, since they do have a plethora of TVs.

Pretty full on a Wednesday last night so clearly people like this place. I was a little underwhelmed. It has that vibe where everyone was satisfied and happy to be somewhere, but at the same time no one seemed excited to be there. Beers taps were all good but it was a poorly assembled line up. 45% IPAs, two lagers, an APA, and one seasonal. Food is standard operating procedure bar food. nothing wrong with it but nothing special. you can grab a quick cheap side of gumbo and mac n cheese for only 3 bucks which is cool, but seeing how they offer those as asides until 1am… you can only assume there’s just a big olé pot of it sitting out all day being reheated.
