When I first went to Prespa’s, it was«OK». The White Pizza is good… and I probably should have stuck to the White Pizza… But I took a chance and tried the Eggplant Parmigiana. It was a huge mistake. The entire bottom of the eggplant was burned. Totally inedible. My daughter ordered a shrimp pasta dish. The shrimp was like rubber. When the waitress came to check on us, we told her our issues. Her reply was«well, there’s nothing I can do about it, the manager isn’t here so I can’t take it off your bill» First, I never asked her to comp anything… But I was shocked by her comment. We won’t be back.

Great little hole in the wall. Don’t let the shopping strip setting fool you. It’s a cozy restaurant with delicious Italian food and excellent customer service. We have yet to try the Pizza, but you must try the Brandy sauce YUM! BYOB is a plus.

I have to admit I wasn’t expecting too much when we were invited to a birthday dinner at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and the boyfriend got lasagna. Food was so good. Fantastic server, cool ambience(I actually liked the dim lighting). Food prices for everything. We also shared wine and cheesecake which were also delicious. We will be coming back!

Really good Italian at very reasonable prices. They have a couple of dishes you generally don’t see, the Chicken Aristocrat is my personal favorite. The calzones and sandwiches are also great. I have yet to try the pizza. It’s BYOB, and a more casual environment, and the service is generally very good. Don’t let the strip mall location put you off, it’s very good, rich Italian.

We went for the first time tonight! The garlic bread was so good and nice to have since the food took a little bit to come out. However, the reason for the wait is because everything is made fresh to order! I had the chicken parm it was a good sized breast, came out piping hot and a side of spaghetti — all delicious. Husband had the calzone, holy cow it was huge and good, the side of marinara topped it off perfectly! It was big enough that husband was stuffed and half left over for lunch. The pricing is good especially for the portion size.

I have eaten at this location give or six times and have really enjoyed their food and service. The rolls prior to your meal are s nice touch too. My only problem is the place is so dark on the inside. I guess they’re going for the intimate mood setting or something but I like to clearly see what I’m eating without squinting my eyes! The location is easily accessible and I’ve never really had to wait long for a table hear. The inside has always been clean too.

Food has its days. It’s either really good or really bad, but Johnny always makes up for it on the bad days. And since I come in here quite often he’ll sometimes slip me some free rolls which is awesome!(When I order take out) I always have a pretty good experience here.

Delightful little strip-mall type of restaurant, Prespa’s is a great example of not judging a book by it’s cover. Tonight was our first visit. We were greeted promptly & allowed to seat ourselves. They offer a selection of booths and tables, and they have a decent amount of seating. The décor is adequate for an Italian restaurant — they are not over-doing it. The restaurant is BYOB. I did not notice a corkage fee on the menu. They do provide bottle opener & glasses. The garlic rolls were fresh, warm, and garlicky(that IS a plus). A salad was $ 1.00 extra with my entrée but not my companion’s…as it appears is the case with the baked pasta dishes. The Pasta Trio($ 7.95) came with Lasagna, Cannelloni, & Manicotti. It was hard to distinguish where the latter two began & ended, however, the sauce was extremely fresh and tangy, and the cheese was plentiful. The entrée was served piping hot as well. The Chicken Parm dinner($ 10.95) came with a substantial potion of spaghetti & red gravy. It was well-seasoned, but the chicken was the slightest bit over-cooked. Still, for $ 10.95, it’s better than anything at that certain chain«Italian» joint… mainly because the sauce is so robust. The servers could easily be dressed in white dress shirts and black ties. They are not. Instead, they are dressed casually(t-shirts, shorts, etc). Service was prompt, not spectacular. Locally-owned restaurants are just too hard to find in this area, especially those who get it. If they could improve anything, a better selection of appetizers would be nice. Having said that, I would hate for them to over-complicate things. I am looking forward to ordering a lunch time pizza for pick up. They had a lot of to go business, even at dinner, and they advertise $ 5.95 lunch specials… so this gal is definitely going back for more.

Food excellent, dining room is small, come early and bring your own wine. Really get there early or you will be standing in the main walkway dodging the people with takeout orders. People tend to stay and visit with each other for a long time so table turn over is slow. The owner could double his dining room size and really do well because it would still be packed out. So if you haven’t paid attention, get there early.

Pizza used to be pretty good, but the last 2 were awful. The Florentina was kind of «watery», for lack of a better word. I suppose that was because of the spinach, but I’ve had other pizzas with spinach as an ingredient, and that wasn’t a problem. The crust was pretty bad too. I agree with the reviewer who said they’ve had better frozen pizzas.

This review is for the pizza, which is one of the worst restaurant pizzas we’ve ever had! There are frozen pizzas better than this one.

Pizza has no flavor and is overpriced… crust was pretty good though but the lack of flavor kind of ruined it :-(

Great staff greets you the moment you enter, as if they appreciate you… not common these days unless you’re spending $ 35/person. Food was really good, I had linguine red clam sauce and she had spaghetti w/meatballs. Side salad was a $ 1. BYOB was a plus. It’s not five stars but deserves more than a 4 star so I’m gonna round up!!!

I grew up in the Northeast where Italian restaurants are in abundance, if this place were in the Northeast it would not have lasted more than 6 months. I guess for Texans who do not know true Italian– American fare this place is acceptable. All the pasta is store bought, the«homemade» sauce tasted like plain canned tomato sauce, the garlic bread barely tasted of garlic and was chewy. I make way better homemade sauce and Italian food at home and I’m Polish.

I grabbed a nice salad with added chicken breast for lunch. It was light, the vegetables were fresh and I liked the place. I found it odd that our server encouraged me to put away my phone because it was lunch time. I was trying to check in on Unilocal.:P The staff was nice, they seemed to want us to Enjoy our food and I was very happy with what I had. I’d stop in again in a heartbeat.

Selected this restaurant based on reviews… It did not disappoint! The waitress was prompt and polite, yet the more importantly the food was excellent. The portions are generous. We had mushrooms stuffed with crab for our appetizer. They were very tasty, the sauce was not too salty and yet creamy. My husband ordered a calzone, it was made with homemade bread and was amazing. It was as large as a platter! Seriously, we could have shared it. I ordered lasagne which was perfectly seasoned. Oh, YES we will go again.

Prespa’s is great! The food is consistently good, the bread is great, the house salad dressing is my favorite. I could make a meal out of salad, bread, and dressing. I’ve had the lasagna, the trio, the special of the day with a number of different sauces, their pizzas and calazones. Never disappointed with Presba’s, always good. The staff is usually very attentive and there is no cork fee. How can you beat that? You can take that 20 – 30 dollar bottle that would cost you 60 – 80 bucks someplace else and have a great meal for four and spend less than $ 100. If you don’t want a glass if wine the tea is always fresh. If you want a salad, and a pie to go they can do that. The cannolis are awesome too. I only marked one $ since many dishes are under $ 10, and I don’t remember anything over $ 15. And Unilocal seriously needs a BYOB check mark!

Would have given 3.5 stars. I did not give it higher because, although the food was good, it wasn’t outstanding. Great neighborhood restaurant. I ordered Chicken Piccata which was served with a salad. The salad was a very generous portion. Sauce was flavorful, chicken was cut thin and tender. I really prefer angel hair pasta, but this was served with penne. Pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely try them again.
